  1. Hi Taryn! There should not be an outside vendor fee if your photographer is staying at the resort. I always make sure I stay a minimum 3 night stay, then I am a guest at the wedding. There was one time that the resort still wanted to the B&G to pay a small fee, but they talked to their wedding coordinator and they were able to waive it as well. I've never had a problem and never had a couple need to pay extra Was just at Majestic Elegance last week :
  2. you probably need to resize them down a bit, I don't think you can post larger than 10mb
  3. that's great to look for exclusivity with one wedding a day, all the resorts I have been to do multiple a day!
  4. congratulations!! I love to see 2013 brides planning their DWs already, that way you can pick the best vendors out there! It always saddens me when someone is really excited to book a few months in advance and of course I am booked a year out!! 8. i Did a destination wedding in Vegas- stayed there for 5 days. My hubby and I pretty much had zero alone time, which is how we wanted it though -- to spend with family and friends. we went home for a day to repack and then left to negril jamaica for a honeymoon for 8 days. It was a lot of traveling, and during it all we began to regret, but once we were there, omgoodness it was the best time of our lives! no regrets
  9. I just came back from a wedding un Punta Cana last week. We planned on having the TTD for 2 hours 6-8 pm. Keep in mind the sunset times are different. Back home, it is much later. We assumed sunset being aroun 7-730 would give us ample time of my dream light I always love shooting in. However, it got dark FAST. The sun also set the opposite side of the ocean so it was even darker. If I could do it again, I would have planned it from 5-7 ending right BEFORE sunset to get all that scrumptious light https://vimeo.com/45538139

  13. I too bundle deep for my packages, either with complimentary travel or the services! whichever it ends up. But I do not charge my full price package with travel since I like the change of scenery. That being said, it is definitely NOT a vacation. It is very hot and you are dealing with so many other elements like water and sand in every crack and crevice of your equipment, hikes all over the resort, usually 3 days of work at the resort (shooting details, wedding day, and day after) not to mention countless hours of editing and production and all those things you understand. A lot of people think it's a vacation, but I usually am working the entire time and I give myself one afternoon to sleep
