Dessy is VERY pricey! That dress cost $265 base without alterations. My MOH picked it out. I let her decide on what she wanted and she doesn't have issues with money, but me personally, I think it's too much. Now I gotta get that girl something nice as a gift for standing up for me lol (She's my cousin)

I just designed my own with Shutterfly using our engagement photos. The book was free and all I paid was $8 for shipping. It came out beautifully. They have those Shutterfly photobook coupons floating around everywhere.

I always thought that was a west coast thing. lol I am from california and find myself saying that a lot too You are right, orchids are not cheap, but I am only getting married one time and I envision orchids EVERYWHERE! lol My color palate is based on two of my favorite types of orchids: The orange cymbidium orchid Purple Dendrobium orchids:

Yeah I would have booked a photographer first thing as soon as you book your venue. I should have done that back in May because literally by July all of the well-known photographers in Grand Cayman were already booked! I did find one but I would keep that in mind. Six months out and I'm thinking about decor for reception and ceremony. Already ordered my dress and we're planning our honeymoon.

You don't see that type of color combination in weddings here in the states though, so it will be different and unique to your guests for sure! Purple has always been my favorite color so that had to be in the mix at a minimum. I came up with the orange because of the bouquet I saw that I wanted. I thought the purple orchids (my favorite flower!) blended very well with the orange roses. So that was my second color. My FI just goes along with it. He's not particular about that kind of thing so I had free reign. I am so excited to plan out my decor. I'm getting some ideas, but I want my WP to send me some photos of past weddings they've done at our venue to see if I like anything.

was your FI in a fraternity or something? curious...but anyway I can feel your pain about foreseeing some major drama that might go down in the future and you want to nip it in the bud now. I hope your FI will relent to YOU and give this some serious thought. Hope things go smoothly here on out. Keep us posted on what happens.

I LOVE VISTAPRINT! I did all of my paper for our wedding through them, including or STD magnets. Everyone loved those! Probably will use this groupon for Christmas cards
