  1. So what did you use to transport it to your wedding BEFORE your FI saw it? What garment bag did you use?
  2. I think you do need the underskirt for the dress now that I look at it. Did you get that? Also I was also just thinking about the garment bag for travel. I may order an additional one from Ebay or something depending on the one I get from Jasmine's. But I got the free one with the logo on it. I also want to prevent my fiance from catching a peek of the dress and don't want a see-through bag!
  3. I suspect we will have a few kids but they are all under 5 years of age and I don't believe it will be more than 5 kids total if that. I don't mind as long as they keep them under control during the ceremony!
  4. @ xbubbix Than you for you help on this. I think I am just afraid about measurements not being exact and it being too tight when I get it but I should just trust the measurements I got and hope for the best. I do have a tailor, but I did try on this dress at the Pronovias store this past weekend and honestly I don't want to mess up the essence of this style of dress by putting in the lace up corset. I will stick with the original style of the zipper with fabric buttons. I am very excited to see what they come up with! I ordered the dress in off white, premium grade for everything and no changes to the design.
  5. I am a bit afraid of zippers and buttons, do you think it would be wise for me to switch over to a lace up corset back with this dress? Also, do I need to order the underskirt for this dress? I don't know if it's necessary with all those ruffles. Input greatly appreciated!
  6. Okay, I've bit the bullet and submitted my order to Jasmine's for my dress! I tried on dresses this weekend and I fell in love with this dress: http://www.jasminesbridalshop.com/index.php?task=productdetail&id=11177 Based on all the glowing reviews for Jasmines and their very prompt responses to my inquiries, I am going for it. So excited!
  7. I don't know what you need to have changed. It looks great to me, but I am not one to notice much of that kind of thing. It looks great so far to me
  8. How's everyone doing with their planning? I am sort of now just focusing on getting my wedding gown. I'll be in NYC this weekend trying on dresses and I'll decide by the end of this month. Anyone doing a welcome party? We want to do one in lieu of a rehearsal dinner since our families haven't met yet.
  9. We're not doing one, but then again, my uncle doesn't own a pizza joint
  10. I love this! I put something similar on my website Woo Hoo to Grand Cayman brides :)
  11. We've decided to go with 3 hours for now with Picture This. Not doing the getting ready photos or first glance photos. We also switched up the order of things and will do our first dance and cake cutting at the beginning of the reception before dinner
  12. I don't know that I could even do this wedding without a website! We did include the wedding website address on our save the dates as well and I also am allowing guests to RSVP via the websiteso they don't even have to wait until they receive the formal invites to do that. I am sending those out in January but our website is so comprehensive that I will pretty much know who is coming and who isn't way before January.
  13. How long is everyone planning to have their photographer for? Or if any brides that have already gotten married still come here, how long did you have your photographer for?
  14. But still I would be cautious to purchase from this company. They still didn't get your dress to you on time for your "fake" wedding date and were shady with communication.
  15. @2012mrstobe beautiful dress! You look fabulous in it! I am now more convinced to go with Jasmines Bridal. You are going to wow your FI big time
  16. You both should be panicking. Yikes!! At this point, I would work on getting the money back. Was this a seller through Ebay? I thought they had that in the past but in any event, you should definitely get on course to get another dress made or purchased via a different company STAT! What a nightmare. Sorry this has happened.
  17. wow Jasmine's has done an amazing job on your dress! I bet you can't wait to try it on! Very nice work.
  18. Yup, my coordinator is saying after 18 years on the island, she had never heard of them and honestly I think it's just like you said, they all pat each other's backs there, it's a small community with a very niche wedding market. They all know each other and must strike deals. I asked her to get a quote for the flowers I am interested in to see what she comes back with but, I am thinking of doing what you're doing and just go along with the florist my coordinator suggested and is more comfortable working with. Incidentally, who is the florist your coordinator recommended? That's great that they matched the price of Flower Dell. I just hate the idea of overspending on flowers! I would rather put that money into our bar and food budget.
