Not set on this yet .... But we like the postcard idea. We are visiting our resort this January, so I will pick up postcards while down there. I'm going to include them in our welcome bags with a note explaining what to do. (I stole this idea from another bride) The note will read something like: "when you get a chance, or when you get home, please send us a postcard. Tell us your favorite memory from the trip or a wedding wish. We will be using these post cards as our guest book, so be sure to complete and send one. (I will have added postage to the postcard) The only thing that is pulling me away from this idea is the peoe may forget to send them and then I won't have any guest book.... We will see

We have decided to bring our own photographer... I don't know how it is everywhere, but i have been told by other brides that the resort photographers take pictures for the ceremony and after for "group" pictures and than they basically disappear. But I can not say this is for everywhere, as I don't know. We have decided to bring our own photographer as well. It is costing us $1,000 for the whole wedding day (Getting ready pictures, Ceremony, family and friend pictures in unlimited locations, dinner & reception). We are paying an extra $250 for the TTD session the day after the wedding and she is giving me a FREE BD session here in Canada before we leave for our trip, so I will have the book made for my MOH to deliver to FI the morning of our wedding. Your photographer needs about 3 days to travel usually. I know a lot of TA's offer every 11th person travels free, so you could end up having your photographer travel for free in that case.

Okay, YAY! Another bride that wanted their darling pup as their flower girl Everyone laughs at me when I say this. I have a Husky cross Boxer and I always said she would be my flower girl walking down the aisle with a "Here Comes the Bride" sign around her neck. But I too would not bear to take the chance of her being quarantined. I'm thinking of having her as part of the AHR for the wedding party intro. I am looking for these everywhere as well. Start planning now... like the girls said it is never too early. I got engaged January of this year and I am not getting married until January 2014. Start looking into the different areas and resorts and narrow it down for a start and than you can keep your eye out for good finds. Plus if you are a DIY'er than you will have lots of time to do all the DIY projects you wish Happy Planning!

I know we have tout about that too - I know a lot of our family is coming for sure! And we kind of have a large wedding party so that alone will be a lot of people coming. Hmmmm I will have to think about this one though.....
