Tdawn! I love your pics!!!! you looked beautifu! I got the same robes for my bridesmaids! they look amazing on pics! if your wedding was at 5pm, what time did you start getting ready? did everyone (bridesmaids) got ready at the spa? Lianny was telling me it wasnt a good idea because you cant talk very loud or have drinks, is this true? I cant wait to be there already! I am getting more anxious by the minute!

Natalieblev, I just checked my credit card statement for when I did my site visit. They did charge me a foreign fee for the 2 payments I did while I was there (the hair/makeup trial and the food tasting). It was 1%, I would call the credit card company and ask upfront what foreign fees they will charge you, I know some credit cards have higher fees. on another note, I asked Lianny to give me a price to use the ceremony decoration as centerpieces (the tall cilinders with orchids submerged in water) and these are the prices: for 5 cilinders per table (different sizes) it would be 87 per table, for 3 cilinders 65 per table and for 1 cilinder 50 per table. jsut thougth I would let you girls know.. I am attaching some pics as examples

Tdawn, I remember seeing an Ipod dock in the room when I did my site visit. Here is some info I got from Lianny last week just in case anyone else had the same questions: I asked her if there is a fee for bringing your own alcohol, it sounds ridicoulos since it is an all-inclusive resort LOL but my fiance wants to bring a special whiskey to the rehearsal dinner, Lianny said there is a $10 USD fee to open it! that is even more ridicoulos LOL if you want to have a catholic ceremony, you can pick 2 of the readings, but the priest gets to pick the other 2. if you are having a catholic ceremony and want some type of music during the mass, like the gloria, etc, the pianist/trio can play it. thanks!

Basic DJ 236 per hour: speakers, DJ setup, DJ, microphone. Full DJ 433 per hour: speakers, speaker stands, DJ, DJ setup, mc, microphone, flashing device (2 lights), console, "fireworks". Tiffany chairs: 12 per chair Garden chairs: 10.80 per chair Color napkin: 3 per napkin Charger plate: 7 per plate Second sash for chair: 7 per sash Par LED lights: 60 each Crazy hour:1300 Fire show: 720 Hope this helps!!! Hi Reign14 1. so I went back on june to do a site visit and stayed on a deluxe room (the most basic one) on the Barcelo Bavaro Palace deluxe. I think those are the ones being renovated because they are more like 80s, the adults only rooms are nice (look at the pictures they are the superior rooms on the Barcelo Bavaro Beach website) but they dont have the jacuzzis on the balconies as the jr. suites at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe... 2. so the main lobby is where most of the restaurants are as well as the spa, casino, club, and big theater, however, there are 3 restaurants on the adults only side and another theater. When I went in June my room was next to the adults only (even though it was part of the palace deluxe) so I still had to take the train to go the the restaurants or the spa. I dont think it is a big inconvenience. The adults only side has its own pool and bars, and it is pretty close to the convention center were bar higuey and other reception venues are. The train runs from 8 am to 3 am and I didnt feel like it was a mission to get anywhere. I think it is a matter of luck where your room is located, you can stay on the barcelo bavaro palace deluxe and still be far. When I went I was only there for 2 days so I couldnt really hang out on the pool or anything, the feeling I got from the adults only was more chilled, no kids running around, playing on the pool or yelling which you do see on the palace deluxe side. most of my guest are couples who want to relax so 90% are staying on the adults only hotel. 3. mmm this is the same question I had and I asked Lianny, she said guests on adults only can only go to the restaurants on their side, the buffets, the steakhouse and the seafood restaurant, however, look what it says here: http://www.barcelo.com/BarceloHotels/en_GB/hotels/Dominican-Republic/Punta-Cana-Beach-Bavaro/hotel-barcelo-bavaro-beach/restaurants-cuisine.aspx it looks like the only one not included will be the japanese and french which they can still go to for a $10 fee I think. Other than that they have access to the same pools, bars, etc. hope this helps!

Hello everyone!!! so anxiety is definetly kicking in!!! my wedding is 2.5 months away and still have lots of details to cover! any ideas on what to put on welcome bags? what about welcome letters? is anyone doing this? does anyone have the new prices of extras for 2013? Lianny hasnt sent me the list and I need to make decisions on what I can and can't afford.... has anyone had a catholic ceremony? how was the priest? did you pick your readings? how long was the ceremony overall? Hi Reign14! welcome to the forum. There are actully 2 hotels within the resort, one is the barcelo bavaro palace deluxe and the other on is barcelo bavaro beach. I dont have kids on my wedding so most of my guests are staying on this side of the resort. you have access to pretty much the same things. Hope this helps

So most of my guests are staying at the adults only section of the resort because they offer better prices, however, I was reading on the Barcelo website that they dont have access to all the restaurants. Has anyone stayed at the adults only resort ? do you only have access to certain things? Thank you!!!!
