Dreams vs. NOW Resorts in Cancun/Rivera Maya Mexico
Samuel Luna replied to melnryluvco's topic in Newbies!!
Hola melnryluvco! I don't think I'm on their preferred vendor list, but I have worked there several times in the past 4 years, I just love the place. And thanks for submitting an entry to the contest! Fingers crossed -
Dreams vs. NOW Resorts in Cancun/Rivera Maya Mexico
Samuel Luna replied to melnryluvco's topic in Newbies!!
Hola Melissa! I have a soft spot for Dreams Tulum and their beautiful beach: http://samuellunablog.com/weddings/nicole-jon-dreams-tulum/ Hope it helps, happy planning! -
Hola Amber! I'm in no way related to Dreams, but I can tell you from experience that the most capable and professional staff of the Dreams resorts is that of Dreams Tulum, followed closely by Dreams Riviera Cancun. I have worked there several times, and they have always been very helpful, communicative and responsive. Hope it helps!

Hola Barbara! I'm pretty sure he will treasure any gift you give him, if it comes with a heartfelt little detail, like the personalized message you mentioned. One of the recent gifts my GF gave to me that I remember fondly is a game controller (for my playstation) with "TAS" written on it's bottom (TAS meaning "Te Amo Siempre" - "I Love You All the Time", a silly phrase we only use between us) Back when I worked in a bank, I loved ties and shoes to wear to work. So, if that pair of shoes is something useful for him in the future, it will be even more significant. I'm sure he will love it. That's a killer combo for a gift: something useful with a meaning. Hope it helps

Resort Help, Riviera Maya/Playa Del Carmen Area
Samuel Luna replied to beachbridezilla's topic in Newbies!!
Hola beachbridezilla, welcome to the forums! My thoughts: Barcelo: One of my favorites, because of the beautiful different settings they have. It's about 40 minutes away from PDC, maybe that's something to consider (we did a TTD+Street photoshoot in PDC for this wedding): http://samuellunablog.com/weddings/jessica-craig-barcelo-riviera-maya-ttd-playa-del-carmen-samuel-luna-mexico-photographer/ The Royal: Another big favorite, because of two reasons: it's located right at the heart of PDC (just a block away from 5th ave) and AMAZING WC staff (we did a day-after beach+street session for this wedding): http://samuellunablog.com/weddings/laura-greg-royal-playa-del-carmen-riviera-maya/ Hope it helps. Happy planning -
Hola Jemma! Welcome to the forums I always thought that Le Reve is a wonderful option for weddings, I did this wedding there, the Groom and Bestmen, are British, and TV presenters, speech time was UNBELIEVABLY funny. http://samuellunablog.com/weddings/sarah-malcolm-le-rve-playa-del-carmen-destination-wedding-photographer-samuel-luna/ Hope it helps!

Hola TKD021! Welcome to the forums, you will find lots of helpful advice here. My two cents, some of my favorite venues and what I like about them (from a "photography" point of view): The Royal PDC: One of the best. Their WC staff is just unbelievable: Denys, Michel, Luz, you choose! Right at the Heart of PDC. There are two piers in walking distance, very good for pictures. And don't forget the gazebo for wedding ceremonies! http://samuellunablog.com/weddings/laura-greg-royal-playa-del-carmen-riviera-maya/ Valentin Imperial: One of my favorites in the WC department, Ana or Ari will make your life easier. Several different locations for weddings/photos, like their amazing Gazebo/Chapel: http://samuellunablog.com/weddings/christine-john-valentin-imperial-riviera-maya/ The Royal Tulum: Private, beautiful beach for weddings. Great WC staff. They have this rocky beach, great for photos, along with some other amazing in-resort locations, very colorful and quaint. http://samuellunablog.com/weddings/nicole-jon-dreams-tulum/ Hacienda Tres Rios: Big, luxurious and very friendly towards external vendors. Excellent WC staff. Their amazing beach has a long and beautiful pier, great for photos. Very close to PDC. http://samuellunablog.com/weddings/amy-christian-hacienda-tres-rios-mexico-destination-wedding-photographer-samuel-luna/ La Ceiba del Mar: Just some minutes from Cancun airport. The friendliest towards external vendors. Small and quaint, I just love it. It's on the small fishermen town of Puerto Morelos, which is also very good for pictures. http://samuellunablog.com/weddings/lisa-jason-ceiba-del-mar-puerto-morelos-riviera-maya/ Le Reve: Small boutique hotel, very close to PDC, is quickly raising as a Premium destination for weddings, and its just some blocks away from where I live http://samuellunablog.com/weddings/sarah-malcolm-le-rve-playa-del-carmen-destination-wedding-photographer-samuel-luna/ That should get you going for a while Hope it helps!

Welcome! Puerto Morelos is one of my favorites spots for weddings, not only the beautiful resorts, but the town as well, here is a wedding I did there: http://samuellunablog.com/weddings/lisa-jason-ceiba-del-mar-puerto-morelos-riviera-maya/ Happy planning!
