    Hi everyone, Just a quick question...who are you guys using for flowers? My coordinator suggested EA flowers, but I'm having a really hard time communicating with them and they seem to not be really responsive at all. Since I won't be meeting them beforehand, I'm getting really nervous about working with them. It doesn't seem like there are other florists on the island...otherwise, I would have gone with another florist. I've heard great things about them and it seems like they do most of the flowers, so maybe it's just me having a hard time communicating with them? I think they do beautiful work, but the poor communication is making me antsy about leaving the responsibility of flowers up to them. Every other vendor on the island (esp. Joan from Kissing Fish) has been fantastic and have not made me feel nervous about planning afar. Any feedback would be great! Thanks!

    WCorey, I was debating with working with her or Island Harmony. I eventually chose Island Harmony, but was really close to working with Rosalind. I believe she was the wedding planner for the Alexandra Resort. I spoke with her often while I was trying to figure out who to go with. She always answered all my questions quickly and was always really friendly (and I asked a billion questions in the beginning because I was still deciding on whether or not we'd even get married in Turks and Caicos). I only decided against going with her because I decided on a different venue than Alexandra Resort. She was also incredibly friendly when I told her we decided to go in a different direction. I don't think you'll go wrong with her!

    Hi everyone, I know this question has been asked before, but I thought I'd create a more current version. I'm starting to pick DJ for my reception and a musician for the ceremony. Do you guys have any recommendations? I want like the music for the wedding to be a little more traditional. Additionally, any current or past TCI brides..have any recommendations for DJs? Having a reception with lots of dancing is really important for me so I want a DJ that will help make that happen. Thanks!

    I went to Van Cleve in Paoli. I had to go to the bridal salons that I could get to by train because I don't have a car in the city. They were really great though!

    Thanks, AlliH! I loved this dress right when I tried it on, but I didn't think I was a fit and flare type of girl. The bridal consultant was the one to suggest this. I'm still getting used to the idea that I got something a little different than I always imagined myself to wear!

    Just bought a dress! It came down to three different dresses (after checking out like 5 stores). When I tried on this one again, I just knew it was the one. So excited! My head got cut off in this pic. It's also surprisingly light!

    Oh no! Tyrebride, I am so sorry . I hope you feel better soon. I am returning the one from BHLDN. After looking at other dresses, I was able to find ones that I liked for the same price and for cheaper. It was absolutely beautiful though with the most exquisite lace detailing. But, I'm with Dani, I think I want a dress that makes me feel more like a bride! I also am not sure if I'm going to know if the dress is the one. I'm checking out one more place and then will try on my top choices again. I am pretty indecisive. Dani, this dress is absolutely beautiful on you! It's perfect for a beach wedding while still feeling bridal. I love the sweetheart neckline and the material. After trying on dresses, I'm finding that those dresses can be very hot and heavy. I'm also dying to show my fiance what I've tried on already. Its going to be really hard not to tell him all about it. Tyrebride, I'm excited to see what you end up with!

    AHHHHH I'm so excited for you!!! What's it look like? I went dress shopping today! I'm down to 3 different dresses. Two are very much what I thought I would want. The other one is very different, but I really like it.     I emailed my wedding planner about this and she assured me that my wedding will be legal (as long as I follow all the steps). She said TCI and the US have an agreement about the marriage being recognized legally.

    turksbride, thanks for the info (on both the dress and legality of the wedding). I looked up your dress! I considered buying it, but I think it'll be too short on me. I'm 5'7 without shoes. bummer. But, the dress is gorgeous!!

    ps...I've also been obsessing over a bunch of lace dresses too. I love how romantic it looks. I also found one by Vera Wang's White collection (At David's Bridal) that I liked, but it doesn't have a sweatheart neckline (which I think I want). Are you going to be looking for dresses in Philly area?
