Hey lady! I am having a shower. One fun idea for a DW is to have a shower with a travel theme, and register on honeyfund.com for excursions, money to go toward airline tickets, spa treatments, room upgrades, etc. for your honeymoon (or if you're wrapping your honeymoon into the wedding). People can also bring you related gifts like gift certificates for travel gear. The other good thing about honeyfund is you can also add items like contributions towards things like house down payments, etc. and there is a space uptop to write a nice little note about how "you have most of the home items you need already, except the big things..." You get to pick the amounts of the gifts towards the goal (for example, 10 $10 gifts could be available to go toward something that costs $100). That way people may be giving you money, but they (hypothetically) are picking what you use it toward - even though you really have free reign. It feels more personal for some people I think. We also registered at MyRegistry.com for those more old-fashioned people who have to buy an actual gift. It allows you to pull any item from all over the internet onto one registry, so that you don't get stuck just registering at Bed, Bath and Beyond, etc. if you really just need one or two items from all over. Ours has everything from luggage, to dishes, to camping gear on it.
