  1. Thanks Lori! I bought the napkins ahead of time and brought them with me. Used this site: http://www.linentablecloth.com/review/product/list/id/154/category/11/ They have tons of colors so I'm sure you can find something to match your wedding! Good luck.
  2. Hi there! Speaking from experience I can definitely recommend using a travel agent. That way, they can deal with negotiating the group rate, handling bookings for your guests, arranging for transfers to/from the airport, etc. and you can focus on just planning the wedding. You can check the forums for TA suggestions, but I can personally recommend Wright Travel Agency. They are owned and run by the owner/creator of BDW so if you like BDW, you'll like Wright! I got married in Jamaica and worked with Babs at Wright Travel. She specializes in the Carribbean and I'm sure she'd be able to help you narrow down your choices, get you some rates, etc. Try contacting them and see if they can help you! Info below. And whatever you do, good luck!! 3. BDW bride Dazeydawl got married there! Do a search for her name to see all of her posts come up about it. I know she recently posted some beautiful pics, plus you can follow her planning thread for ideas and tips. Good luck!
  4. Cute! I think that is a great way to handle it. And yes, you can totally ask guests to save the dates!
  5. Thanks! Yes, we did indeed use Tai Flora for the kissing balls and all the flowers. The balls were $85 each and we had 10. Kind of pricey but I love how they turned out!
  6. Thank you!!! We did get the pics! I posted a few in my album if you haven't seen them already. Next on my to-do list is having the best ones made into a hardcover photo book!
  7. We got them in silver and here's what they looked like. I think you can choose between silver, gold, black, white or brown, but don't quote me on that! Double check with Secrets. I was pleased with how the setup turned out!
  8. Haha why thanks! Keep on coming back! As for napkins, I bought them because I wanted purple napkins and didn't want to pay whatever Secrets would have charged for colored napkins. If you are OK with white, then they should be included! If you are interested in purple, then I have 36 unused purple napkins I can sell! LOL.
  9. Woohoo! Love that you used the wedding chicks printables! I love that sign!
  10. Love what you've done so far!! Can't wait to see more. And the pregnant bridesmaid is too funny. At least you bought a size up and the look flowy!!
  11. @MissJali I love that DVD idea! I did a scratch off card for save the dates that revealed the location. This was a fun way to tell people who didn't already know where we were planning to get married and a lot commented that they got super excited when they scratched it and saw where we were having the wedding. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/81056/semi-diy-scratch-off-std-tutorial For invitations I did passports, but I wasn't crafty enough to make me own so I bought them. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/79993/post-pictures-of-your-invitations/50#post_1824752
  12. I think it would totally be OK to direct guests to one of the many hotel bars for drinks. They could get a snack too if they are so inclined. If it saves you money and would prevent you from having to cut your guest list I say go for it! I doubt any of your guests will be upset that there isn't an "official" cocktail hour. They are on vacation and at an AI, so it shouldn't be a huge deal for them to entertain themselves for a bit while you take photos!
  13. Here are a few. She did airbrushing, which was fun.
