  1. Sorry I just saw this! I paid $2100 for it with tax. It was normally over $3900. If you're in LA I definitely recommend checking out Glamour Closet, where I got my dress!!
  2. I LOVE Rome, and if I could afford it and thought my (mostly California based) friends and family would go that far I would totally do it. I'm sure it will be amazing. Congrats to you!!
  3. No idea! I'm still 5 months out but I'd love to know answers to these questions too if anyone out there knows.
  4. I like the cathedral veil with lace. Very dramatic and pretty! And I'm usually pro-sash (I'll be wearing one) but I think your dress doesn't need one. Pretty enough without! You look fab-- congrats!
  5. Not sure what your budget is like, but I wanted some cute passport invites that weren't going to break the bank. Ended up getting 100 passport invites + pre-addressed RSVP envelopes and gold-lined envelopes for the passports, and shipping for less than $300. Here is my post and pics: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/79993/post-pictures-of-your-invitations/50#post_1824752
  6. Yay us! I did have a slight problem with it recently. The first time I set it up and used it wirelessly with no problem. This past weekend I went to print out a new wedding project and for the life of me could not get the wireless to work. It kept saying it couldn't find the printer, even though it was clearly logged into my wifi network and appeared to be online. I eventually had to connect it with a USB cable directly to my laptop to get it to work. Going to attempt wireless again this weekend. Wish me luck! I've had no issues with the actual quality of the printing, or using heavy card stock. So that's good at least!
  7. I think it would look great! I may be biased since I'm doing purple and silver for my wedding. A fellow BDW bride posted this inspiration board when I was waffling on colors and now it's the color scheme I'm working with.
  8. Thank you for replying this is all so helpful! Your pics are gorgeous!!! Congrats! Unfortunately I already paid half the deposit for our photographer and it's non refundable so I'm locked in. Gwendolyn does beautiful work though!

  10. It looks to be a secluded beach area in the pics, but I don't know for sure. My wedding isn't for another 6 months and I feel like the are starting to get annoyed with my questions since I'm not in the 2 month planning window. Let me know if you're able to find anything out though! One thing I did find out is that they allow the eco friendly wish lanterns. Very excited about that because I already bought a bunch when there was a GroupOn deal several months back and I was hoping they wouldn't go to waste. The wide shot of the Casita looks nice!
  11. April 27, 2013 at Secrets St. James in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Just hit the 6 month mark Saturday and can't wait! Also I guess that means I have to get serious about working out. Congrats ladies!
  12. I'm curious about all of these things as well. I think there is only sand next to the Casita but I'm not sure. Are you planning to do your cocktail hour AND reception on the beach? That's what I'm planning for at the moment. We'll see if I change my mind as things get closer! I'm planning to use the beach (not the Casita) and have them set up a bamboo structure that they'll drape with fabrics I plan to purchase in my colors. The Secrets WC sent me a doc with wedding pictures of various upgrades so this is what I'm using to go off of for now.
  13. Love these and that the girls can make them their own! I LOVE them in Coral and wish it was one of my colors. They just look so bright and happy on the beach!
  14. FI's birthday is August 7th, mine is August 20th, and our first date happened to be on February 27th. So I always liked the idea of getting married on the 27th as a way to sort of combine our birthdays and commemorate our first date. We wanted spring/summer and for it to be a Saturday, so that left us with April 27, 2013 or July 27, 2013. Ultimately decided on April because it was closer!
