  1. yeah that is sorta the drawback-- like Pinterest, unless someone writes where they got it you have no idea. but good for inspiration/ideas like Muneera said!
  2. Just sharing a tip because I had no idea it existed and maybe some of you didn't either! Earlier this week I saw a segment on the Today show where they found cheaper versions of runway fashions that celebs have worn. They showed the dress below that's actually from JC Penney's Marchesa line. Since Marchesa is actually a legit designer they have some really nice options. This one is only $250! http://www.jcpenney.com/dotcom/women/brands/pearl-georgina-marchesa/cat.jump?id=cat1002300040&deptId=dept20000013&N=4294966491
  3. Those are so pretty! Love the color and the fact that it's a maxi. I wanted a maxi dress for my MOH but she's on the shorter side and didn't feel like it looked good on her. I thought it did but I want her to be comfortable, so the maxi was out. Sigh. Your girls will look great!
  4. Another BDW bride posted this forever ago and I saved it. Super detailed and awesome! Enjoy! UPLOAD run of show.doc
  5. Not sure what your theme is, but I love the free printables from Wedding Chicks. They have a ton of different designs/patterns and they are all customizable to your colors. You don't even have to download a template-- you just pick the one you want, type in your info, choose your colors and then save a copy to your desktop for printing later. http://www.weddingchicks.com/freebies/invitation-suites/
  6. Not sure how the private reservations work at most resorts, but at mine, and at a lot of others I've seen, since weddings are a separate event/function they don't let you utilize the all inclusive feature for you and your guests. You will generally wind up paying out of pocket to cover the food and beverage at the wedding, unless your package includes this for a certain amount of guests. For example my wedding package covers everything for the first 20 guests and then I have to pay for any extra that we have on top of it. Again, not sure how it works where you're getting married and that's certainly not the rule EVERYWHERE, just sharing my experience thus far.
  7. Hey there, Not sure if you tried this already but you may want to try posting to the Moon Palace 2013 board http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/77782/newbie-moon-palace-2013 or browsing it in case someone has already answered your questions! Good luck!
  8. Here's the dress, by the way. link to all the dresses: http://www.jcpenney.com/dotcom/women/brands/pearl-georgina-marchesa/cat.jump?id=cat1002300040&deptId=dept20000013&N=4294966491
  9. Great tip! I also saw on the Today show earlier this week a segment on red carpet gowns that they recreated on the cheap, and they had a dress from JC Penney that was super pretty and very cheap. AND it was from their Marchesa line, so it was still designer. Had no idea they even carried that line!
  10. That is so cool! I have a friend who got engaged at the top of Everest. You'll both have great stories to tell your kids someday. Congrats!
  11. I just did a Google search and found a few free options. Here's one: http://ufonts.com/fonts/meaculpa.html Good luck!
  12. Hi there, I don't know the answer to this unfortunately, but have you tried asking Paradisus who their regular photographer is? In some cases, resorts work with specific vendors for things and if you use their preferred vendor you don't have to pay the additional fee. I think it's more common with cake or flowers, but worth a shot to ask if it'll potentially save you some money. Good luck!
  13. Can anyone think of a song that would sound good played on a steel drum? We're having a steel drummer playing during the ceremony and I need ideas!!
  14. Wow that whole story is infuriating. So sorry for your trouble and thank you for the warning! I was nervous while reading that the wedding was cancelled and not re-booked with another planner but I'm glad you find a solution that worked (and at half the cost!) Sounds like your wedding was amazing in spite of all the drama and heartache!
