@ jbascetta209...I just added you on facebook! Aww, what an cute story with your parents! You have the best of both worlds, Italian & Mexican what a nice mix of cultures! I have to admit that I had those steps at the chapel in mind when I made my decision but I just had to take the risk, lol! It's too gorgeous! We were in Playa del Carmen last fall but we didn't go to Xcaret. I fell in love with the location through pictures and I have not read one bad review so I went with my gut feeling. I want to take a visit very soon though!

The Chapel of Guadalupe looks amazing! That is why we booked our wedding in Xcaret - I was looking for a breathtaking ceromony location and when I saw pics to this chapel I was astounded! I absolutely love it! Thanks again for sharing! I have gone to http://www.delsolphotography.com/blog/index.php to look at their xcaret wedding albums and they are all amazing!

Thanks for all of the info jbascetta209! The pictures you sent are amazing, it's so exciting! I am from Chicago, of mexican decent. My parents were born in Mexico. $408 for a 3 night stay is pretty awesome! I def have to look into pricing. We will def be staying in a kid friendly hotel because we have quite a few nephews attending the wedding! I will also be sending save the dates a year in advance too! The store that you recommended is awesome, so many cute ideas! Thanks so much for sharing! I feel like you are way more advanced on your planning then I am!

jbascetta209 just a few weeks before us! How exciting! I am also working with Patricia. She's been so helpful! Have you been quoted prices at Gran Porto Real? I was also thinking of staying there because it's kid friendly and so close to 5th Ave. I am also skipping the fancy chairs and centerpieces. This place is amazing! Have you taken a trip out there or are you planning to before the wedding? When do you plan on sending save the dates? I am taking engagement pictures on Sept. 30th so we will probably be sending our out by the year mark or right before it. I apologize for all the questions, I am just so excited to have found other brides that will be tying the knot right before us!

Happy Planning to you too!
-
Yes, they are wonderful! I am so glad I found info about them on here!
-
The location and food/drinks are the same price. I will only be saving on having to hire entertainment from Xcaret. I am having a DJ and perhaps a mariachi but that's it and my wedding planner will be getting them for me.
-
I am having the ceremony at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel and my reception at Las Islas. Because I am working with Weddings in Cancun, one of the only outside wedding planning company's that's authorized to work with Xcaret - I was able to opt out of having to hire entertainment directly from Xcaret. I actually got all of their info from here, a few other brides on her have hired them in the past. That info saved me so much money!

Thanks Jessi! Yes, that would really help. I am so excited to have found you ladies on here! I couldn't find many brides having their wedding in Xcaret - it will be great to hear about your weddings!
-
Thanks for your response rehanak! Are you working directly with Xcaret Wedding Coordinators? I am working with Weddings In Cancun wedding planner and they have been great with us too! As I continue planning a little more I will def have questions, thanks again for your response!

Hope this helps - Xcaret info! XCARET_WEDDINGS[2].pdf

They can definately accomadate 50-70 people and they have quite a few options. Here is some info - I have attached it. It gives you details to their options. I really hope this helps! XCARET_WEDDINGS[2].pdf

Congrats and welcome! I just booked my wedding and we will be having our wedding in Xcaret! The location is gorgeous! I will be having my ceremony in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel (it is breathtaking - it's a cave-like chapel) and our reception in La Isla! This is definately one of the pricer option in the RIviera Maya area but you can definately work out prices if you get "Weddings in Cancun" wedding planner. I am working with Patricia Lameda and she has been great in providing info and helping me cut back on costs. Let me know if you have any questions. Xcaret has quite a few venues and they do have one near the ocean. It's gorgeous!

Did anyone end up having their wedding in Xcaret this year? If so, please share your experience. I have October 5, 2013 reserved for my wedding there! Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

My date is reserved, October 5th 2013! I am having my catholic ceremony at Our Lady of Guadalupe chapel and my reception in La Isla in Xcaret. Are there any other brides out there that are considering having their wedding in Xcaret?!? If so, please post here to share ideas/answer questions/give recommendations. I look forward to your responses!

I am working with one of the only authorized outside wedding planners and she has been amazing on helping me cut off unnessary costs. She is authorized to bring outside vendors and allowing me to bring in the photographers of my choice without extra fees. Since I am expecting 80-100 people at my wedding I had to look for an outside vendor and when I saw this one I completely fell in love. It is truly amazing. This is why we are planning so ahead of time -

“A good snapshot stops a moment from running away." -Eudora Welty Photography is the most important factor in my wedding. I completely agree with Eudora Welty’s statement above on photography—it is the only accessory in our wedding that could keep those moments from running away. These photos will capture the most important part of our lives together—the public declaration to our loved ones on our eternal commitment to one another. I don't have many pictures of my parents together but there is 1 album I can always count on to look back on: their wedding album. My mother past away when I was 9 years old. I thank god that my six siblings and I have those pictures to look back on and that we can relive the love that they had for each other with that single album. My father moved to Mexico about 2 and a half years ago to take care of my elderly grandmother. I live in Chicago with all of my siblings and have been able to visit my dad only once since he left. It is almost impossible to get my whole family to take a trip to visit him. I look forward to my wedding day because it will be one of the only times where our whole family could get together as one to witness the beginning of one of the most important chapters of my life. With the moral and financial support of my family, my fiancé and my fiancés family, I will be able to have the wedding of my dreams in Xcaret. I look forward to capturing these moments. I’ve learned that life is short and when we no longer can have those that we love by our side, photographs keep those memories alive. I look forward to reliving the memories that our union will bring! -
