It is handy too as some wedding parties have shared the cost of some vendors (photographers in particular) To ensure everyone knows how this thread works please go to the last post of this thread, select "quote" on the last entry Type in your name & your OH name, your forum name, wedding date, hotel & location in chronological order. 10. Your WC should have already emailed you all the necessary details abut your paperwork. . . . I have pasted below details we have received post 1 of 2 Details I Be at least 18 years of age at the time of the ceremony. Bride and Groom & 4 witnesses (2 each) must arrive to their hotel 4 business days prior to the legal wedding ceremony date in order to complete and process the necessary documents and for the Bride and Groom to get the blood tests carried out. NOTE Saturday and Sunday are not considered working days. BLOOD TESTS to determine blood type, HIV and STD. Tests must be taken in Mexico. At the resort there is a medical center which provides this service. The price of the blood test is 90 USD per person that will have to pay in cash. BIRTH CERTIFICATES WHEN BRIDE & GROOM ARE SINGLE and their last names match to their parents name & passports no more documentation is needed but Birth Certificate, Passport & Tourist cards. Ask your wedding coordinator after sending the marriage application. If a bride or grooms former spouse is deceased then a copy of their death certificate is required. This is required for legal ceremonies only. VALID PASSPORTS They are mandatory for a legal wedding to be performed. Passports must be presented to the wedding coordinator at the time of the wedding meeting. This meeting must be 4 days prior the wedding date. Please send your scanned passports to the WC before your arrival (Bride, Groom and 4 witnesses – 2 each) TOURIST CARDS These green cards are provided to all persons upon their arrival into Cancun’s International Airport. Names on Tourist Card and Passport MUST be the same. This card proves your legal stay in Mexico. These will be copied by the WC for Bride, Groom and 4 witnesses – 2 each
  11. We are from Scotland and holidaying from 10 > 24 June 2013 with 20 other family and friends. We get married on 20 June having holidayed at the Bahia Principe chain of hotels for the last 18 years - all over the world and have stayed at the Mayan Riveria twice before. It is beautiful and the staff cannot do enough for you, we love it so much hence we are getting married there. We are both divorced and I reverted back to my maiden name, we have been advised by the WC at Bahia :- The Bahia are continually putting brides mind at ease regarding the confusion Travel Agents cause by giving FALSE information regarding having to get birth and divorce documents translated and legalised. There is NO requirement for any of the GROOM'S documents to be translated or legalised this applies whether he HAS or HAS NOT been married before. If the BRIDE has been married before and has reverted back to her maiden name, provided this is the name she travels on and is the name that is on her passport again there is NO requirement for any of the bride's documents to be translated or legalised Translation and legalisation is required is when a bride has divorced but kept her married name (Ive never heard of anyone doing this) These are a note of some amazing and helpful thread/links "Post Your Wedding Date" http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/9132/post-your-wedding-date Brides (& grooms) can see who is getting married on dates close to them .
