  1. Ohhhh I love this!!! So excited. If we had a beach ceremony already .... does it automatically get changed to this location? Does this free up new time slots?
  2. I'm starting to think about wedding decor. Has anyone else planned this? I'm not sure whether I want to bring my own things down to cut back on the price, since they charge a fortune. We are doing a reception at the See and Sea ... so there will be one long table. Then having our reception on the beach.
  3. Yes, all of us have heard nothing but fabulous things about the Majestic. You are correct with your estimation. There are other fees though. They charge for everything ... destination weddings are not as cheap as they once were. There is a fee to book your venue on top of the price per person. If you want alcoholic drinks there are bar packages (paid per person). Any decor you want to have during your reception also comes at a price. The dinner is usually 2.5-3 hours. If you want longer you have to pay extra. If you want your reception to go to 11 and include dancing then there are fees for things like stereo rental, microphone, lights, or DJ as well.
  4. Allie, Have you made the t-shirts yet? I would love to see what you have designed!
  5. Ahhhh! I want a cancellation too! Did you email them and they told you ... or were you on a wait list?
  6. Try Marlin Travel (located in Walmart). The one I'm using has a wedding specialist! We've been really happy with service so far!
  7. Oooooh, I'm going to the same one - in October. Can't wait. I'm going with two other friends who are also getting married! We will be bride crazy!!!
  8. I don't think you are behind. I think you are right on schedule! I am also letting my girls pick their own dresses, it's such a great idea! I'm doing barefoot for the ceremony, but we will need shoes for the dinner and reception ... and definitely for the disco. So, we have an excuse to get some pretty heals too!
  9. It will still feel exactly like a normal civil wedding. The coordinator will perform the wedding, they should have fake papers for you to sign. Nobody should be able to tell the difference. A lot of brides are going this route, myself included, and it will feel just like an actual legal wedding!
  10. Shutterfly has a great deal on photobooks!!!
  11. Shutterfly has a great deal on photo books right now! Great for engagement photos and wedding photos!
  12. stunning! I love the low back ... so flattering and lace is so in!
  13. yes, you can definitely get grey burlap!!!
  14. Do it So fun. Definitely start looking soon. They recommend going at least 8 months before. A lot of dresses come from over seas. If you need it altered that can take more time. So give yourself lots of time in advance!
  15. We went with May 9th for now @ 1pm, but still hoping it changes to something later!
  16. I know, so annoying right? I had problem too because I wanted a late afternoon wedding and I was completely flexible on what day it would be as long as it was during our stay May 5th -12th. The only time I could get was 1:00pm. I've been told there are 3 time slots a day at each side of the resort, ME and MC (10, 1, and 5pm). I also asked to be put on a "wait list" for a 5pm time, but she said they don't usually get cancellations! Boo-urns!
  17. Thanks! it's the Madison Collection by Richman Group. http://www.richmangroup.com/ There is a lot of crinoline, but I'm having it removed. It was tucked between my legs in this picture to get the more flowy feel! When you go dress shopping keep an open mind and try on a variety of styles. I found about 4 that I absolutely loved and they were all very different!
  18. That is what I originally wanted, but was told I needed the marriage certificate. Who told you this requirement? I would like to have it confirmed! Thanks
  19. SO, SO, Excited!!! I got my dress yesterday!!
