Anyone have any tips for where to find cute clipart or how to make them yourself? I really love the starfish, but the green is not my colour ... so I need to change that!

This is just the rules of the travel agent. So I'm going to include this in the invitations as well as on our wedding website. Maybe "RSVP with your deposit by ________ 2013, by calling and booking your trip through Marlin Travel". Something along those lines.

Yeah, the extra costs drive me crazy considering it is ALL-INCLUSIVE. With a small group I would go with the free dinner too. We still don't know about doing an AHR .... I really don't want to, but it will depend how much of my extended family comes on the trip. You have lots of options for entertainment. You can find an outdoor patio/bar, go to the theatre ... etc. Then there is always the disco. I read some reviews last night about the disco and someone was saying it smelt like barf in there, EWwww, I hope not!

So true, once we book and put our deposit down the rest of our guests have 90 days to pay their deposit. So we should have a better sense after that. Then based on numbers we can make some more decisions. We are 95% sold on the Elegance now!

Where do you live? I'm from Canada and use Marlin Travel. They are in all of our Walmarts. They are legit and can book group destination weddings. I have used them many times in the past. You will get a better rate booking through a travel agent than booking through the hotel and then flights separately! Then all resorts have wedding coordinators that you work with to decide on all the fine details. That is always free with any wedding package you choose. If you have any more questions let me know When are you getting married? Are you going with the Gran Bahia?

Britney, have you priced out ceremony, dinner/reception for your wedding yet? I was doing some budgeting last night. It's pretty pricey ... I hate how you have to pay so much for private dinners. What are you plans for this?

Thank you I haven't decided which resort yet. I have narrowed it down to the Majestic Elegance and the Gran Bahia Principe Esmeralda. I'm having a really hard time deciding. I started a comparison chart with all of the pricing. It's going to be more money than I was anticipating for the ceremony/private dinner. It's hard when you don't know how many people are going to come for sure. Especially this far in advance!

I think it makes more sense to stay 7 days versus 3 or 4. Usually a 7 night stay is only a few hundred more and a 10 day only a few hundred more than 7 day. Often it's the flights that cost the most. As far as I understand it your guests can book whatever length stay they would like. The trick is to be sure that some 3/4 night stays are available and overlap with the wedding day you choose. Talk to your TA. I know that flights are sometimes less frequent during the summer ... so there may be less options.

I've stocked you and subscribed to a few threads you were on too haha I want a late afternoon ceremony as well. No earlier than 4:00. I think this is a good time for a few reasons ... -Not as hot -Not as many people gawking (a lot are gone back to their rooms by this time) -Less time between ceremony and reception -None of your guests need to miss the morning/afternoon by the beach/pool What is your group rate? I got mine and it was $1521 (Leaving Sun May 5th - Sun May 11th).

AHHhhh the whole skinny fat thing is tough eh? I know that two of bridesmaids want to get in better shape before we go. I guess you can always have things altered (that does get pricey though). Ah well, what will be will be!

Aw that is SO tough! That day does sound special. I'm with the other girls on changing the travel date ... but I understand that might get complicated or not be an option at all. You have to weigh what's important to you most. Think about your first anniversary and every one in the future. What do you want to remember about your wedding day? What memories do you want to have? The ceremony won't change, or the dinner, just what happens afterwards. If you and your family/friends are really excited about dancing and partying than you should change the date to the 10th for sure. Then nobody has to worry about how tired they are or how they are feeling!

I know I love how casual the dresses are. I always wonder if the bride found them and put them together or if the bridesmaids did. Cause it works so well! Me and my bridesmaids are on the hunt now ... for exactly the reason you mentioned, you never know what the selection will be like this year and I would rather not be stressing over it right before the wedding. I get all of my pictures from Pinterest.com ... you should definitely sign up if you haven't already. It's amazing for weddings!
