  1. Hi Parrish From what I understand through my TA...Club premium is based on your room. So the ocean front jr suite and up. She did mention once that if my mom wanted wifi everyday it would be an extra charge of 30/day and just said that if she changed to club premium the price for her room would significantly change...which she meant she would be switching from a jr suite to an ocean front jr suite. I didnt get the feeling you could just purchase the club premium, however she did say that once you get there you can upgrade to it (but your room would be upgraded as well so you would be paying for all that, not just the benefits of cp). This is just the info I got. The difference in the two rooms last month was about 30.00 a day for dbl occupancy, so for my mom if she really needed wifi that bad it would have been a fine trade off. I think it depends though when your reservation is and what the prices are then.
  2. We had a "get things done" Sunday all around! My mom went to pick out and pick up our personalized jar candles for the welcome bags (from my fav candle shop in COlorado)...FI tried on his suit after alterations and it is a go! We ordered the final contents for the welcome bags (sunglasses for ladies and guys and for the little groomsmen, rest of meds, etc)....We ordered all the groomsmen ties, FI's ring...picked out my band to be ordered today...finalized favor flavors for the truffles....finalized excursions and costs. After all the dress drama i had, my mom and younger sister helped me decide to keep the originial one i picked and have it altered sooner rather than later so I will feel better about it! FI said "Yeah now we can just relax for two months." I was like Ummmm no...we did get a bunch done but I still have a lot to do! Which brings me to ask....did any of you ladies order your jewelry from etsy? Or have another recommendation to look? How about a veil? Will you wear one since its a beach wedding? Or a Flower? This week I have to get my undergarments, jewelry, put together the survival kits for easier packing and unloading, finalize with the preacher and script, and work on this bouquet some more! Hope you all are having a great Monday!
  3. Yes. As long as the designer team agrees to it. My dress was Enzoani and they offered to make it in sweetheart, however the people at the bridal store of course wanted my business and said it would be cheaper for me to have them do it, to which I agreed...but there was still the option to have it made that way before it arrived. Looks beautiful on you!!
  4. Seeing this and then looking at my pile of handwritten, scribbled notes and lists that are on looseleaf notebook paper and stuck in a basket on my bookshelf cracked me up!!! Megan you might have found your new calling! Wedding PLanner!! I guess my FI is right- I am disorganizingly organized! Thanks for the all the info!! I need to double check some lists!
  5. Hi! I am using canvas tote bags for my guests. I didnt get a personalized one with our names because i really wanted everyone to use them again....but the site i ordered from has both types...I used weddingchicks.com THese are the ones I ordered, but they even have Mexico themed/Spanish ones as well. If you sign up for their emails, you might get a coupon to use towards the purchase too. Also i was having trouble finding the soduku books as well. I know our dollertree had crossword puzzles...but that didnt seem as fun! Let me know if you find a place.
  6. Very pretty! You look awesome! Enzoani puts so much attention in detail and I love that. I am also wearing Enzoani but it just came in and needs MANY alterations. Its made for 5'8 and I am quite a bit shorter than that!!
  7. Megan your DIY table numbers made it to the BDW feature on the homepage! Very cool!
  8. Thanks so much Diana for your responses!! I really appreciate it! Glad we can all enjoy the Japanese place too cause I hear that's the best one! thanks again!
  9. BUT that was probably 7 months ago when i asked so you know it's probably like 900 now hahaha!
  10. Tamara - I was told kids two and over count towards your package. Miss Jali- she quoted me 488$ to use a stereo system for the ceremony to play my own music. Pretty lame!
  11. A past bride from the resort I will be getting married at made a wedding facebook...here is the link its really cute! Thought it might help you ladies with ideas. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/79630/our-oot-bags
  12. Thanks for the great review Diana! You looked beautiful as did your wedding!! I loved the chapel! I begged them to let me have my wedding there, but since Im not catholic and would be having a pastor they said no! Oh well. Couple questions: I reserved the Panoramic Suite-does this mean I will be on the adults only side? We are the only ones who got club premium, but I wasnt aware that the Japanese restaurant was CP now and had planned to do my "rehearsal" dinner there....Do you have any other suggestions for a restaurant that is great but on the BBPD side? Did you eat at Hoya 19? Is it good for dinner and drinks? Did you do any excursions? In flower options, Did you see any options for garden type flowers rather than the tropical ones? I have only ever seen calli lillies, orchids and roses...is that all they offer for bridesmaid bouquets? Do they charge to use the small votive candles for Bar H decoration? Were the cocktail apps tasty? THanks in advance! And Congratulations again!!
  13. Angel I feel your pain! I suffered from bad stomach pains and crohns runs in my family. Gluten makes those symptoms way worse. I don't want to be one of those people preaching about foods and health but if you do need any help finding good Gf foods I have tried them all by now and can tell you what is good and what is not. I'm also following a high protien low fat diet since jan and working out since Feb. I want to get in shape for the wedding but a lot of my motivation to stay on track eating now has come from cheat days making me feel miserable because of stomach issues. So instead of thinking oh I've been at the gym all week I can have this or that, now I just know the pain I'm going to feel and it motivates me to not do it. Let me know if you need any meal ideas or brands of foods and I would be more than glad to help!
  14. Also you could try to cut out gluten. I stopped eating gluten in Jan and only have it maybe once or twice a month (a sub sandwich or something of the sort when Im in a rush) and i have felt so much better! I have acid reflux and it has helped end the pain of bloating and stomach sickness. I had IBS but I am totally cured of it, except when I cheat and have white bread or something with gluten...then the bathroom breaks and pain come back for about two days.
  15. Hi I am thinking you are saying you suffer from chronic inflammation. If so, water aerobics are great for that. As is yoga that is NOT heated and not high intensity cardio. (They have so many now). Stretching everyday helps with joint pain, and look up foods that are both inflammatory (to see if you are eating things that will not help!) as well as anti-inflammatory. Kris Carr is a great author to look up. If you are talking more about IBS...that is def something you could help just by changing your diet! Do the research on food...most of weight loss is what you are eating, and most ailments such as IBS and inflammation are caused by diet.
  16. Happy Easter June Brides!! I cannot believe tomorrow is April!!
  17. Tamara tropical pictures just posted a VIDEO! Check it out on fb!
  18. Miss Jali- Im not doing escort cards, but I am doing "table numbers" (They arent really numbers-they are water colored pictures of states that mean something to us) and then a small seating chart. So itll just say Tennessee- and then the list of six who sit there and they can decide where at the table. A small chart sort of similar to TDawns guest book table set up with her seating chart. We are having a small group too but I really just loved the pictures and they add more to my small centerpieces. Soon Mrs D- Dont forget first class gets two free pieces of luggage per person. When we were looking at our tickets and calculated the bringing down and bringing home of extra luggage (two bags at 50, 100 there and 100 back) it was actually only 40 dollars cheaper to get economy than the first class and include the luggage. My parents are flying out of a smaller airport and when they calculated the luggage (cause my mom is helping me bring some stuff down) it was cheaper to get first class! Just something to look at. Tamara- I got info on the salsa dancing...They dont do free private lessons, but everyday they do dance lessons (different types) on the beach at 4pm and any and all ages are invited to participate. Sorry about the DJ that sucks. You know I feel like if you reserved things (centerpieces and DJ) when you reserved you should be given the price that it was at the time in lockdown! If they change the price during the process that should only be for new brides, people who have yet to make the reservation or what not. Pretty lame. Hope everything works out!
  19. hi welcome! Congratulations! We chose our date just based on friends and family being out of school (we wanted kids to be allowed and thats why we chose this resort), having about a year of engagement (got engaged last April) and then i picked the actual date of June 20th because it was West Virginia day, my home state! Plus its a thursday so I knew it would be easier to get the BAr H as my reception location, and we will all be there for seven nights so having it closer to the end, but not the night before we left sounded good to me!
  20. Here is the 2013 spa prices. you can use the spa descriptions on the barecelo website if you are unsure of what is included in the bridal packages listed. Spa Prices (2).pdf
  21. Thank you for your reply. It helps out a lot! Since I only have less than three months I guess I better make my decision here soon!
  22. Parrish concerning the welcome dinner...yes that is the same info i got. At the restaurants i believe they will only let you plan for 24. A bride on her recently mentioned Ibizza or something to that effect which was a free room and dinner for a rehearsal style dinner...maybe look back a few pages and check that out. Also another idea could be welcome cocktails. Instead of paying the hotel for that as well, we are just telling our guests the first night to meet at the same bar at the same time and will just drink our free drinks and hang out with each other! Im not sure about the salon as I have seen pictures of bridesmaids in there so i have no idea!
