    If you are getting married off the resort then it will not be a problem/cost to bring a photographer with you. (Even if you were getting married at the resort, as long as your photographer is a guest of your wedding and staying atleast the one night, then there is no outside vendor fee.)

    I just wouldnt do it Tamara and then when you get down there explain what you said about just having the server ask the people at the table. Seriously, I dont think they are going to say a WORD because having dinner choices means more money for them!

    Hi MrsSHoreytobe Thanks for the reply! I actually already have my dress, and it is requiring me to wear a bra (i lost all my tatas these last couple of months working out). But I am not finding any good lowback or backless bras online. Just wasnt sure since many girls on here have backless dresses, if they knew of a good backless bra brand.

    No package includes a cocktail hour. If you want a cocktail hour it will be held right after the ceremony and before the reception for an hour so that you and your FI may go take photos while your guests are still entertained. If you do want it, 2013 prices are as of now 12/person. That includes one type of alcoholic drink, apps and water/soda.

    I know I am harping on this, but it is because NOONE at the resort can give me answers on flowers. I have vases for 5 tables to fill, but even Susana says she doesnt know how much it will cost. Does anyone have a clue as to how much just a bushel of flowers for 5 tables would be?

    Shew- So this last weekend my bridesmaids sort of through me by basically saying that I have too much planned for everyone for our wedding week cause they want to lay out and drink. Here is the deal- Out of seven nights, I planned the wedding (THursday) and they planned Tuesday to be the shower and dinner at night (So all morning afternoon open and free or can go to the spa). (Guys will have an excursion for their night). other than that all it consisted of was meeting at the same bar the first night we get it (So that everyone can meet and party together to get the trip started good) and then ONE dinner together just cause I thought it would be nice to all have dinner one night. We planned to spend four hours on a sunset happy hour cruise on Monday, but that is just four hours. So basically Sat, Sun, Mon (minus 4 hours), Tues morning, Wed, Fri and Sat are all open days. I mean I am not counting one dinner as a planned event because hello are they not planning on eating? They didnt say it mean or anything, but it just bothered me a little because I really just want to do things together some. I love sitting by the pool and having drinks as much as the next person, but this is my first time to DR and only the second time out of the country so I wanted to explore a little. So anyways, FI and I decided we would cancel the cruise on Monday and that will give him another day of fishing and I will just go on an excursion of my choice Sun, Mon, Wed or Fri. When I told them they were like "Oh I was really looking forward to that." I was just thinking whatever cant do this anymore. Cant make everyone happy so OH WELL! In other news, two of my bridesmaid dresses dont fit but luckily the only two sizes they are not sold out of are the two sizes they need. Thank the Good LORD! So I got to get on ordering those this morning. Then going for a run to get all the stress out and back to getting stuff done this afternoon! Cause in two weeks i want to be saying ALLLLLL DONE!!!!!!!!!!

    Very cute! And wine never hurt a DIY project in my opinion haha. Everytime i think I need to sit down and do a project this last month I just open up my doors, turn on the music and grab a beer!

    Aww that is horrible. I hate that for you guys. I know my pets are literally my children so I know how upsetting it can be to loose such a special piece of your heart. I like the idea of the picture tied to your bouquet. Etsy sellers are great for that, and you could even get a small one to add as a charm to his tie clip or bout. Or my doggie has a couple of bandanas, you could sew a piece into your dress and his suit. So sorry again.

    What a cute card! Yeah I think i will still get him a little tiny something meaningful. I was thinking of getting his band engraved, but Im sure that would not end up being a surprise. Would love to do one of those boudior shoots but I am kind of shy and also feel like I am so dang busy until we leave!! Oh well! I will figure it out. Still just working on the mamas.

    Im sure they will be fine with someone videoing you and your wedding. Never once I have heard that wasnt okay, especially if it isnt an outside company and the person doing the videoing is a paying guest. Not sure about the ipod. I know many brides say the MC is worth the cost, just to keep things going and structured. Yeah I think it is funny that for cocktail hour, welcome cocktails etc that they charge you for food and drink. But it is nice in the tangerine package you get international bar (which is not all inclusive at the resort) and it covers the personal servers you will have. I am assuming you would do the cabana daily. If you are worried about making sure you have one you could ask Susana or talk to the host when you check in about it.

My wedding is june and she said she would like to hear from me in may. I have no idea about the facial, never had one! And if you think it would take time away from your vacation and with your guests then i would get the mani/pedi before you leave. You can always get a polish change for way faster while there if you run into any problems.

    My stepdad is walking me down the aisle with my mom. I told him he could wear whatever he wanted. (Our groomsmen will be in gray with white shirts and peach ties). His go to is khaki, but my mom is pressing him to get gray pants and he will probably wear a short sleeved white shirt just cause he hates being hot. Now my FI's dad I have NO IDEA! In the 15 years I have known him I have never, ever, seen him in anything but jeans, tshirt and tennis shoes with a flannel. So we will see. I dont care either way. Not anything I am worried about, just glad they are making the trek!

    That sounds so pretty! We def want to order 5x7's of a few wedding photos for both sets of parents once they are done and in our possession. When I told my FI that i was just going to send them the gift for mothers day and get a smaller something to bring he was like "Now we are getting them two gifts!!??" hahah...whatever. Then I asked him if we were giving each other gifts the day of and his head about flew off hahaha. SO i think he is over me asking about gift ideas!

    oh goodness i didnt even think to get something for the dads. I dont think we will because both our dads are pretty hard to buy for and I dont want to just waste money like you said. I agree on the jewelry. Everything I am seeing is something I wouldnt want to wear. I think I might just do the personalized hankies with the Mother of The tumblers. Going to look again tonight and decide tomorrow cause I am so ready for all the ordering to be over! Me and my postal lady are BFF's now haha!

    So wondering what you ladies have decided on for mother gifts. I purchased my mom and MIL both a watercolor painting that has a special meaning behind it. They are gorgeous but they are 8x10 and my FI doesnt want me to bring them down framed because they could get damaged, but if I just bring the prints then they could get damaged as well...and honestly without the frame they kind of look like an unfinished gift to me. SO now im thinking I will send it to each of them for Mothers Day instead and let them know I was planning on giving it to them at the wedding, but didnt want it to get ruined or have them have more to bring back. BUT NOW I still really want to get them something special for down there. I have them hankies, but was wanting a little something more...I saw some Mother of the Tumblers that might be cute for our resort, but I did purchase everyone a stein as well so dont know if that is overkill or what. Basically any ideas from you super awesome creative ladies! BTW I was just thinking how awesome it is going to be to share pictures of our weddings with each other in less than two months!! I feel like it will be so much fun seeing everything come together for us all!

    JDunn Thanks so much!! I really appreciate it! I was just at hobby lobby today looking at real touch flowers for my own bouquet and they really are so "real" haha. I am still waiting for pricing for flowers for my tables (but I think I may re-use my bridesmaid bouquets on the reception tables too). I also am doing a table number similar to yours. I got watercolor paintings of states that mean something to our relationship, so guests will be sitting at a "state" rather than a table number. Im bringing my own vases and centerpiece stuff, just still waiting on the flower situation to figure that out. Thanks again! Beautiful pictures!! I love the cake too. And yes the cocktail hour looks so awesome! Im almost sad I have to leave to take pictures and miss it!
