  1. I am also getting married at this resort on January 22, 2013. We are also doing the private reception on the terrace but I have not sdecided on a menu yet. We aren't getting a DJ - just the ceremony and the dinner and then we will all just go with the flow and hang out wherever. This is what we did at my brother's wedding in Mexico and it was great. Nice and casual and people could go their own way if they wanted. Excited to find some people getting married at this resort on here. I had looked a few months ago and found nothing.
  2. What are you doing for a pool party at the ME. We have been quoted a time of 12:00 for our wedding ceremony (which I'm not super impressed about) and we wouldn't be able to have our reception until 6:30 at the earliest. I know my guests will just end up drinking too much if they have that long of a wait between the ceremony and the reception. I am starting to think we may have to switch resorts cause they seem to be really busy the week we want to get married.
  3. I just started looking and am planning to get married here in January 2013. I have just started getting info from them but would love to hear any of your experiences. Has no one ever gotten married here before? It is impossible to find information on this resort on here. I would love to see pictures especially! If any one has found anything could you please send it my way either through this forum or to my e-mail: [email protected]
  4. I decided to start a new thread after finding no recent information about weddings at this hotel. the pics of this hotel are gorgeous and my brother got married at an Iberostar in Mexico and it was the best. I loved the resort and staff and the wedding was a blast. We've decided on DR as a location as many of our friends and family haven't been here before but have been other places in the Carribean. Here is what I have found soo far but would absolutely love people to share any of their info or pictures if they have them! We would also have guests staying at the Bavaro and I've been told by Maria that they can come to the Grand Bavaro for the wedding (a half an hour beforehand) but there is a $35 per guest (1/2 of that for kids) and they have to leave afterward and go back to the Bavaro. The menus are included because we wanted a private dinner which apparently you have to pay for the food & for to book the venue (I think) I am still waiting for clarification on this. I also don't know anything about the photography yet. Just starting!
