  1. I received 50 $2.00 off coupons from the company to include in my OOT bags. However, they expire 12/31/12 and my wedding is not until 6/22/13! So I figured I would share these with any of you ladies looking for extra stuff to include in your OOT bags. I am willing to give up my stash since I can't use them as intended. Shipping costs are minimal, if the amount you want is able to classify as first class with the USPS then I will send it to you at no cost. Let me know!
  2. Not sure if you all use Living Social but they have $10 for $50 at Vistaprint. Happy DIY!
  3. agm04 - we have the same wedding date! I previously posted a pic of my save the date, I have to find the link. I am still working on/debating on the actual invite. I know I want to do a pocketfold adn have started playing around with the layout. I am waiting on some free time at work so I can work on them, you know it's important stuff! You ladies get me so excited reading this stuff!
  4. What about the sand ceremony? They can each have a different colored sand, you and your husband will also have different colors and you all pour them together. Have a nice sand ceremony frame with a photo of all 4 of you and it becomes very symbolic of your family.
  5. Money is sent! Thanks, I can't wait to get them.
  6. My living room is being taken over by boxes! I'm going to have to stop soon or else there won't be any room for me. I'm using the spaces in my bookcase and anywhere else I can find space.
  7. If the previous sale of the fans fall through, I would like them. Thanks!
  8. jleg- I ordered them from discountmugs.com while they were on clearance. Not sure how much they are now.
  9. Taco-I love your choice in shoes as well! So glad that I can be an inspiration to someone else for once! I love shoes so these shoes make me so happy when I look at them. My shoes are Guiseppe Zanotti and I purchased them on ZapposCouture.com. Like I said, I love shoes so I sometimes spend a ridiculous amount of money on them when they catch my eye.
  10. Can one of you ladies please advise how far away from the downtown/local attractions the Beaches resort is? I'm getting married at Beaches but I know that I definitely want to go off property and explore and extend the same to my guests. Thanks!
  11. You ladies are making me blush, thanks so much. I don't normally wear heels, especially this high but I said what the heck! I posted earlier in this thread with a picture of the shoes when I was dropping them off. They started off as an ivory satin and I was NERVOUS! They were ordered from Zappos Couture on extreme sale, originally $1100 and I got them for $475! I live in NYC so I took the shoes to the designers showroom and asked I they dyed the shoes and they said no but referred me to a great shoe shop off 5th Ave. that's where they send all of their customers they said, so I went. I didn't have a swatch, I really winged it and was nervous as heck. I told the guys I wanted to dye the shoes, they handed me a book of samples and I picked one that wasn't too dark and crossed my fingers. It only cost me $45 and I am more than pleased! So my shoes will be my something blue I believe.
  12. Here are my shoes after they have been dyed, I'm so in love!
  13. That's good to know about how many can fit in a 26" suitcase, I will definitely have to get a bigger bag but still good to know. I've already warned my bridal party and parents that they will be carrying extra suitcases with stuff for us. Everyone gets 1, since they're allowed 2 checked bags for free. I kind of had to be assertive and let them know that they had to pack their clothes in one bag only!
  14. A tough mudder is almost the same as a warrior dash just a lot more torture and mud! You will have fun though.
  15. My advice, wear shoes that you don't mind throwing out at the end. After it's over, you won't want/recognize them anymore! As a matter of fact wear all clothes that you won't mind wearing ever again! I plan to do a tough mudder next year or even a warrior dash, but my friends that have done them have gotten VERY dirty. You will start out cute, but it gets very ugly very quickly if you know what I mean. The pants idea probably will help with the crawling on the ground. I would probably wear a full t-shirt instead of a tank as well. I'm all about keeping the mud out of as many unmentionable places as possible. It's a lot of fun though so just have a god time with it and don't worry about your appearance. Like I said, you'll want to throw out everything when it's done.
  16. Allie I'm so happy for you. Glad everything worked out and things are back to running smoothly!
  17. Be firm and stand your ground with her when you meet. I would also do some research on alterations and fittings and then ask her pointed questions about the work done. Tell her you have nothing but time and a good understanding of the terminology so she can explain every painstaking step she took with your dress. Also if you signed a contract, take that with you and point out key things that pertain to the work that she did on her dress. Once she gets a clear picture of you and your knowledge I'm sure she will back off and probably say she will fix it at no cost to you. Or I would even take another seamstress to the meeting with me and have hr there to ask questions! You gotta hit them hard with facts so they don't try to treat you like an idiot.
