Yes, I caved and bought some I don't love...I really wanted the jute totes that dollarama had last year for $2. They are so cute! But, we're only 3.5 weeks away...so we don't have any more time to waste. I'm trying to stay positive on the bags I was able to find...at least since they are smaller, they will weigh less to take with us. *Sigh*

Ahhhh...darn!! I caved too and bought smaller ones that I don't LOVE (they will do the job, but not as pretty as I had hoped)...no zipper, no button, and small...although they have an outside pocket. My FI would kill me if I went and got different ones. I was starting to panic...we're only 3 1/2 weeks away!!

I need some help with the survival kit...the topper of the bag is going to say the saying "Too much booze, too much sun, too much food, too much fun" -- TOO CUTE! I love it So, what I have done so far is this: First Aid Kit Tissues Tums Mouthwash Floss Picks Tide Sink Packets Hand Sanitizer Wipes Cream Body Wash Hand Sanitizer Tylenol/Advil Imodium Safety Pins SPF Lip Balm For food we have the imodium and tums. As for booze, I have the advil/tylenol but no electrolytes - are they needed? So, I haven't really included anything for sun burn - just the lip balm....should we do Aloe too? Question for you gals - when we burnt in mexico, we used aloe vera and it made our skin VERY tight feeling which was extremely painful - we ended up just using body lotion to hydrate and it helped much better than the aloe did. Anyone else had this experience?? We won't use aloe anymore, so I wasn't going to include it in our kits....Thoughts?

I just spent two days looking everywhere for bags. I checked the Ardene's and Claire's....nothing! Not even the nicer more expensive beach bags. I checked Michaels, and every other place I could think of. Finally went to a different dollar tree and found some smaller totes for $1.25. I got navy blue ones for the single guys, purple for the single ladies, and orange and green for the couples. I'm still disappointed that I couldn't find anything else...I was even contemplating MAKING them from scratch. Oh well. Its just a reusable bag that the guests can use or throw out if they don't want to use it again. I'm not sure if I'm going to make a logo to put on them or not....What do you think? Should I add something to the front? Everything JUST fits into them. The tumblers just fit inside the bag. Sorry about the photos being sideways...For some reason they keep turning themselves, even after I take them the correct way and save them in the right direction. WEIRD!

You're definitely not being cheap - I'm doing the same. Only doubling up on some things. The way I look at these bags is the "OH SH!T - I don't have...." until they can buy some...I'm not supplying them with everything they need. Its just to tie them over until they can get what they need. And maybe they would only need what is in the bag, and no need for more. At least that's the way I'm looking at it. LOL

Hello fellow brides!!! Is there anyone out there that would want to share an order of tote bags from discountmugs.com?? I've been looking for a very long time for tote bags...canvas, jute, beach totes....and we are not finding anything and are ready to just order some online....but the more you buy, the better the price. Here is what we are looking at: http://www.discountmugs.com/nc/view-product/TOT37/the-regatta-tote-bag/ I would order them blank (so no set-up fee)...and then just use the iron-on transfer paper to put something small on it myself. What I'm thinking is this...we order 50 bags and then just split the order. I would need 20, but if someone wants to share (or two people), I would be willing to buy a few extra to cover what is left. If there is another bride out there that lives in the USA (and gets free shipping) - I would just pay per bag and the cost of shipping them to me. If we order 50 bags the cost per bag would be $2.36 - a pretty good price for a nice zippered tote bag. Also, we love the orange colour. Anyone interested, PM me ASAP to discuss. As of right now the estimated ship date is March 20th - and we leave April 8th, so we need to order them ASAP!

Hello fellow brides!!! Is there anyone out there that lives in Ontario - central/southern - that would want to share an order of tote bags from discountmugs.com?? I've been looking for a very long time for tote bags...canvas, jute, beach totes....and we are not finding anything and are ready to just order some online....but the more you buy, the better the price. I would need 20, but if someone wants to share (or two people), I would be willing to buy a few extra to cover what is left. The total cost is $191.03, which would mean each bag would cost $3.82 - a pretty good price for a nice zippered tote bag. Also, we love the orange colour. Anyone interested, PM me ASAP to discuss. As of right now the estimated ship date is March 20th - and we leave April 8th, so we need to order them ASAP!

Hello Ladies, I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure out some of the kits that everyone else seems to put in their OOT bags. 1.... what is the purpose of packaging the items inside a clear plastic bag? Is this an airline requirement?? 2....then of course, where do you get the clear bags and the toppers? Are the toppers cardstock paper, or something more like cardboard? 3....what kinds of kits is everyone including? I've seen the survival kits, snack kits, oh sh!t kits...any others I'm missing? If anyone has some templates they could pass along, I would greatly appreciate it...I haven't been able to accumulate the 150 posts since I almost a year ago..I read more than post I guess. Emails are appreciated! [email protected] Thanks! SillaFeliz

Darn...I don't have time to post that many times in one day and to reach the 150. I really think this website should give you credits like posts for how much you READ!! I have read so much, just not posted a lot because I don't like posting things that aren't constructive or helpful....and because its kind of annoying reading a thread when 3/4 of it are "Love this" or "thanks for sharing"....quality over quantity I think! -
So we've given up on online purchases...shipping is just too much! We were able to find tylenol/advil and tums at the dollar store...but they were $2 each. I was hoping to spend less than that, but it probably would have been the same price with shipping to our house...and I don't have to wait for it to arrive. STILL looking for bags....our dollar stores don't have what I'm looking for at the moment...we're heading out in the morning to find the rest of what we need - I'm determined not to come home missing anything. Wish me luck!

OOT bags items for men
sillafeliz replied to MissFifi's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Guys are so hard to buy for! We have three single guys coming with us. Its too bad they aren't single women. Someone out there has to have a creative FI that could share a good idea or two???? Mine doesn't have a creative bone in his body. Typical mechanic...LOL I might have to get some Old Navy flip flops just for the single guys...although we already bought the BM a pair of leather flip flops...HMMMMM...
