Hi Brides! Need some help re: single friends bringing a plus 1 Right now, our list is at 150, anticipating that about 70-80 will show up. A few of the single folk have asked if they can bring someone (not on the guest list), just to travel with/share the room, but that person would not be included in the wedding festivities. Discussed it with my fiance, and we feel horrible about this. Wouldn't want someone to come spend time with us in the days before our wedding, but then not be allowed to come to the actual wedding. At the same time, I don't want to say yes to every single person, and have our guest list just get blown out the water. Would love to know your thoughts on this fellow brides. HELP ME! hehehehe Thanks!!

Thanks Allie! Planning is going so so. Everytime I think I get ahead, work comes in and takes up all my time. Luckily my parents and sister have been amazing! I talk to my SOB at least twice a day. We're going down to the DR next week to solidify location/target items etc. Should be fun. Still trying to figure out invites. We sent out an email Save-the-dates a couple of months ago, and I'm debating on sending a more formal once via mail and still send out the invites. Thoughts? Where'd you guys order yours from?

kudos to you for making them yourself. I love the first one, but def, the names need to be a little larger. the 2nd one just pops! i kind of like it more too, although i'm more partial to scripty/cursivy font.

Reading these has still left me a litle confused as to whether or not to get an agent! I still don't know! I reached out to the hotel directly, and got a better rate than what the agent from Wright quoted me. what to do what to do???

Hi Everyone! It's taken me 2 weeks to finally catch up on the ENTIRE thread...and I finally can post! First and foremost, congrats to all the brides. What an exciting adventure! Secondly...THANK YOU! this post has helped me immensely in planning our wedding. We literally only decided 2 months ago to go destination (you know the whole craziness of family/budget/time/etc) and Dreams La Romana is the place!! woop woop Date: Nov 10, 2012. I believe I'm sharing the date with someone else... looking forward to sharing this journey with you all. It promises to be a good one!
