yup we're using HDC. who did you use? your pics are hot! and fun. that's exactly what we want. no stuffy pics! not sure yet where we're doing the reception. most likely not on the beach...so not a beach person. ha! i think we're going to rent out one of the restaurants. I def don't want outdoor as i can't stand being hot (i sound so diva-ish!)

i think it's an absolutely wonderful proposal. it matches who you guys are and the circumstances that you were in, and definitely had a lot of sentiment behind it (and you know a lot of guys are not emotional!) Not to mention, I think it's a pretty cool story to tell.

oh the joys of planning a wedding: Just got word from the best man that he will NOT be attending the wedding as he can't afford it. This is only after my FI sent a reminder text to his guys reminding them that deposits are due this week. On one hand i'm understanding...cause I get it, not everyone can afford to go. on the other, i'm FUMING because he's known about this for sooooo long! it's like, why haven't you planned accordingly. and when were you going to tell us??? its funny, but I've been expecting for someone out of the bridal party to do this, but definitely didn't expect it to be him. on a brighter note, i've seen a draft of our invites and am picking the colors tonight. so hopefully these will be printed out within the week. woop woop. some progress!

LOL I still haven't sent out invites neither! and my MOH has been such a slacker...no support at all. I do have an amazing SOB (she loves it when i call her that).

Hi Ladies! I can't believe there's less than 4 months left! It's insane how time flies. Trying not to panic, but I have nothing done. Work has been crazy insane, leaving no time to do anything. I'm almost to the point where I just feel like showing up and not worrying about anything before then! whew! ok got that mini panic attack out the way...it's time to get cracking! I don't even know where to start though...lol

even more reason to do it again!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!! Research venues and find a few places you like. Determine a time frame of when you want to get married. I say spend as much time browsing through this website and make a note of everything that strikes your fancy. From there I would categorize and see what's more important to you. All us brides have started in various places, but ended up having the wedding of your dreams. Enjoy the journey!

i'm working with Babs too! She's been so helpful! If I need something, I ask her for it. and she responds right away! My girl Babs is rockin...HOLLA!! (that's what she says to me!) Communication is so key in this TA/client relationship. It def works both ways. Also, if possible, try to have phone conversations, following up an email. lol no flowers/no centerpieces yet. Funny, but for some reason that hasn't been bothering me as much. I think it's because Yanna showed me options when i was there, and everything was so beautiful...so i know whatever we decide on will look gorgeous. Planning's going well. My biggest worry now is guest list...and who's actually going to end up coming. One of my good friends just let me know that he wouldn't be able to come and it totally blew my mind. I actually cried. I rather some other folks say "i can't come" than the folks i really want there ya know! (that sounds sooooo horrible!)

Hi porkysgurl!! Welcome and congrats! im sure there's a post on here completely dedicated to the resort you've chosen. Plus I would ask specific questions. Go through the forums. there's plenty of posts that can help you as you make decisions.
