  1. Thanks for posting Kate, your wedding sounds and looked beautiful! I'm about a month away from mine in Tulum and I will also be using Nora Grey for my hair and make up. Do you have any more pictures of what her team did for you and your mom? I also want a really natural look. Thanks.
  2. Hello Tulum Brides!! I'm getting excited and ready for my June wedding at Ana y Jose hotel. I have been having lots of guests ask about transportation to and from the airport. Does anyone have a company they would recommend? On past trips we have not been very satisfied with our transportation and would like to hear some options people have tried and recommend. Thanks!
  3. Kathie, I'm getting married in June at Ana y Jose Hotel (not the beach club) and have been using Jackie their planner. She is wonderful and very responsive via email. I was looking for a location that did not require booking an entire hotel and they have been very accommodating . She works for Tulum Weddings (http://www.tulumweddings.com/) and can be emailed at [email protected] Good luck!!!
  4. Our planner has recommended Vanessa Jaimes for flower. Prices have been very reasonable and she is very accessible via email. Sending lots of pictures of choices and flower selections. http://www.vanessajaimes.com/
  5. I am getting married at Ana y Jose in Tulum and we also asked about wish lanterns. They are also against the rules. Since so much of Tulum is made from natural materials, such as the thatched roofs it's too risky should the winds shift them back towards the shore. Huge let down but certainly understandable. I would look into fire dancers though, I have seen make images of weddings with them near the water's edge. Search wedding photographers sites to find examples of tulum weddings with dancers to try to sway them.
  6. I'm also getting married in June 2013 at Ana y Jose Hotel!! We're expecting 70 guests. Could you share some of the vendors you've chosen with me, I'm still deciding on flowers and DJ. I'm thinking of having dancing and drinks on the beach and dinner on the deck. What have you chosen for your set up?
  7. I recently got engaged and our favorite vacation spot is Tulum (south of the ruins, not the all-inclusive side). We're considering a destination wedding there for 60-80 people. However, we have NO idea what a true budget would be and if we could afford it. Would any of you brides be willing to share your budget breakdown and info for Tulum weddings?? We would love to keep it at or below $15,000 for everything; ceremony, food, drinks, music, photographer, flowers, dress, suit, the whole nine yards! Thanks for any information you could give.
