Your pictures are amazing, congrats on a beautiful wedding! I'm getting married in November at the gazebo too and I'm a little concerned about the bride's entrance from the side, how did you find that? Are all of the guests able to see you and were there a lot of people walking by or any other distractions?

What kind of excursion? I was thinking about a group excursion for my guests too. It would be fun to have everyone together.

How do the centerpieces work out do they email you pictures, do they email you pictures?

When we contacted Arrecife, we were told that if we pay in cash, we would receive a discount and only pay the price of the package. So we only paid the $1500 in cash for the package rather than paying by credit card and paying additional fees. For the centerpieces, Lara has ones you can look at and choose from but what I did was find a pictures of what I wanted and had her quote me a prices

I also chose the trio for my cocktail hour....would love to know about there work.... Also where did you stay? Did you rent the bridal suite? Who officiated the wedding? Was it a resort staff...(i keep reading that the staff officiates wedding) So many questions... 

Your wedding looks amazing! I had a couple of comments questions based on the pictures I have kept in the reply. Calla lillies- my favorite flower! They offered me white roses in the Aqua package- did you upgrade your flowers? What was the cost? I have a jewlery bouquet but would like calla lillies for my bridesmaids. Your cake is absolutely gorgeous! I love it! You paid for an additional tier right? Do you think its worth it? We have only a two tiered cake. How was the Dominican trio? We were thinking of having them for cocktail hour. Did your guests enjoy them? Thanks for posting the Aqua package pics, its the same package I have. My bridesmaids also have blue dresses like your ladies but in two different colors (this was an unfortunate accident I am trying to be optimistic about). Seeing your pics on Olympus terrace saddens me a tad because we are having a beach reception since the terrace was already booked. It looks like you have the LED dance floor on the terrace. Did you think it was worth it? We have to get it because were on the beach, but I was wondering how you thought it made a difference in ambiance. Lastly- did you do the videography package? Your wedding looked amazing, best wishes and thanks for all your helpful information.

Here are some of the pictures from our wedding! The files were too large so I had to take screen shots to be able to upload them so the quality isn't as like the pictures we have but Arrecife was fantastic! Let me know if you have any questions I can answer!

So exciting. Are these the "upgraded" bracelets you can order? I was considering it but don't know if we can budget for them. They look nicer than the paper bracelets. I am hoping our room is upgraded too but Im there during fourth of July and upgrades are only if they are available. Is this an instagram pic? haha. We are having a return reception so we will only pt teasers like this up- pics of food and drinks and the bouquet, until after our return reception. I'm wearing my dress again and I don't want others to see me in it until I show the slideshow at our AHR. Have fun! Can't wait to see the rest of your wedding!

Hey Ladies! We just had our wedding yesterday and it was awesome!! If you have any worries, you shouldn't. The romance team is so accommodating and on top of their game. They have a plan b, c and d for everything. Mariela was my wedding coordinator and had been my main point of contact. When we got here, we found out Mariela had just gone to the hospital with appendicitis! Natalia took over and she was FABULOUS!! She had read every email and knew every detail of the wedding we had discussed. Bc of the last minute switch, they upgraded our rehearsal dinner to Gabi Beach for free for 17 people. The Arrecife photographer was great and very nice as well as the new DJ company Abentos. I have zero complaints!! We had rain in the middle of our dinner at the Olympus Terrace but they handled it smoothly and extended our reception for the time it rained. (Btw the cake was beautiful and delicious!) I will post pictures when we get back home. All in all, I could not have asked for a more amazing wedding

Hi Ladies!! We are here!! The wedding is on Wednesday and so far everything has been wonderful! Our TA arranged a private shuttle for us and we were greeted at the airport with champagne and roses by our driver!! We are in royal service and check in could not have been smoother. They automatically upgraded us to an ocean view room and our butler has been very attentive and helpful. We need with Mariela and Massiel today in an hour to go over all the last minute details I'm so excited!! I will keep you guys posted with any info!

They said the max number of people was 20 We have abt 40 people total so we shaved it down just to parents and bridal party. I think they recommend the buffet for bigger parties. For the escort cards I'm doing resin starfish. Something like this... I printed the names and table numbers onto cardstock and cut them. I bought ribbon and I'll just tie them onto the starfish when I get there.

Hi Ladies!! We are only 29 days away!!! I'm so excited and nervous all at once. I have been transferred from my planner Bianca in Miami to Massiel and Mariela at the resort. Mariela has been so helpful and very quick to get back to my emails. They already set up our time to meet with the coordinators/photographers for the day after we arrive. The whole rehearsal dinner thing is a dumb rule. What we ended up doing is cutting down the number of people to 16 and the resort is trying to get us to have 10 people at one table and the other 6 at a table next to us. We chose to do it at Vento. They are also being accommodating about the rehearsal time because I have 3 members of my bridal party flying in the day before the wedding so depending on when they land and arrive at the resort, we can rehearse which was great. I turned in my DJ requests and seating chart (with individual plated menu choices - we are doing the aqua meals) today!! It's starting to feel so real!! I'll keep you guys posted on any more information I get during the last few weeks

So is anyone doing welcome bags for your guests? We want to but not sure how we get the welcome bag to guests not staying at the reserve where we are... Thoughts? Suzanne

Hi!! We are doing a rehearsal dinner at one of the restaurants for the bridal party and parents. We decided to do drinks at the lobby bar for everyone to meet and welcome. It was too complicated to figure out a welcome dinner for everyone attending the wedding! Plus everyone is arriving on different dates before the wedding so I'm sure we'll have had dinner and drinks with some of the guests prior to the night before the wedding. I hope it's a good plan!

Hey Ladies! I had my planning call last month. Bianca basically started from the pre-wedding options to the reception we had discussed and we went through and finalized everything pretty much line by line down to the napkin rings. I thought she was great but I had been in pretty constant communication with her, Lara and Daniella before the call so it was mostly finalizing the choices I had asked about. I would suggest asking any questions you may have before the call so the call can be just finalizing details... it was a huge relief to know a bulk of the planning is done! Only 85 more days to go! Yay! Happy planning! Leslie

Hi Katie - I did a site visit to PPR and it was gorgeous. The rooms were great and the service was wonderful. I didn't personally go to PPC but maybe someone on the PPC thread has fond a site visit. The garden gazebo at PPR was still really beautiful and we chose to go with that. I have a few pictures if you want to see them. Good luck!

I found the perfect invitations by searching on etsy.com for wedding invitations. They had so many different options! I purchased several samples (much cheaper than some websites) and found the ONE

Hi EVknowsitall - I have pics of the Olympus terrace! PM me your email address and I'll send some over to you. We chose the Olympus terrace bc you can still see the beach from there and it is beautiful right by the pool. When I was there, I saw a reception at Gabi Beach and while it was absolutely stunning, I think that any of the other sites are just as nice without $9000! Lol we are doing our cocktail hour at Plaza Colonial which is the courtyard by the fountains. You can opt to do both cocktail and reception at the Olympus terrace but we thought it would be fun to mix it up! Let me know if you want me to send pics of plaza colonial as well

In Massachusetts, you have to wait a couple of days after you request a marriage license to actually pick it up. From what I understand, the resort will also ask you for a copy of your marriage license, so it's best to do the legal stuff like a month or so out so you have time to pick up your marriage license. We got our marriage license in Peabody, MA and they were very helpful and made sure to give us extra copies of the certificate so we had one to give to the resort. Hope that helps!

Hi Ladies! I'm back from our site visit. I can't tell you how beautiful and great the resort was! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Massiel, the Romance Manager was great as well as Rosa, the Romance Coordinator. We met with the vendors as well (Arrecife Photogrpahy, DJ Mannia and the decorations company). They were all very helpful and friendly... not pushy at all! I'll upload the pictures we took at some poInt today and can send some out to everyone who asked for some but I will say pictures don't do it justice! I'm really happy we chose PPR!!

We are back on Friday the 14th! I'm really excited for the site tour and I'll be sure look for a site that overlooks the ocean for you - do you want the ceremony to overlook the ocean or the reception? Or both?
