Great thread and ideas! I was just at a wedding and the guest book drawing was a huge hit. They left out crayons and sharpies for people to draw and write with.

Thanks Kisha. The cousins pretty much said if they stay at another resort they could afford to go. I'm going east to visit family this summer and I'll see my aunt at the beach. She loves the beach and the DW is a stupid idea? I think you nailed the jealousy factor.! I do feel sales person esq when telling people what all Beaches has to offer. I'll have my FI, my daughter and parents there and I'm focusing on that! Thanks again for pep talk.

Some of my FI siblings are going to try and stay at Club Med. Not really sure how far that is but I know it's on Grace Bay and in Provo. It's an all inclusive adult only resort. They are prepared to pay their own day passes, esp since I have no idea how often they will actually come over to Beaches. Then my mom told me that my aunt said that having an island wedding was just stupid. I really don't understand people. My mom said it was jealousy, but who knows. I just hope she continues that attitude and doesn't show up to the wedding. Some good news, I picked my bridesmaid dresses!

I'm getting married in Turks and Caicos at the Beaches Resort. A few of my guests want to stay at Club Med cause it's not nearly as expensive. I'm not paying for their day passes and I doubt I will see them much. We really don't want our guests to stay elsewhere, but it's their money. Good luck.

I love all the toppers! Especially the turtles! It's my favorite animal. We decided to be very non traditional and show what represents us, but at a beach!

I need to vent for a moment. I looked up the pricing for Tropical Imaging and found one page under portraits for prices. Under the Island Escape option, it states for brides that want to trash the dress. I assumed that was the price. I couldn't find prices for the boudoir session or deposit information so I finally emailed them. I requested Ileana on the comment area and she responded to me. I asked about that pricing and she said that it's not for wedding couples as they do extra TLC for editing. While I understand that, put that on your website!!! So any brides looking into using them, they require 50% deposit to book your session and they email you an attachment with the prices. I'm glad I still have over a year before the wedding to save up and add it to the budget. I really want to do ttd, boudoir and maybe an hour after the ceremony with guests. For the record, Ileana was great in the emails and gave me all the info I needed. I really hope I get to work with her when it's my wedding time.

I am also debating on doing this as well. If you get an album, you can always hide it or put up a not too racy photo in the bedroom. My FI loves these kinds of photos, so for me it will be a money issue. What a great present though! Can 't wait to hear about your wedding when you get back!

I spoke with my TA. He said with the 6 night stay I get the $750 admin fee waived. I do not get the $400 government fee waived for any reason.

Luckily I got it before then! So once I get it, I don't mind sending it out. I'm not getting married until Oct 2013.

Thank you mdcoug! I'll check with my ta about the $400 fees as we are staying for 10 days. Beachbride~ Yes I believe that you can still add the private reception when you get there. That will give them a few days to get it together. I also think I remember reading that you rent the speakers (maybe $80?) that the ipod can hook up to. I think we will be doing the ipod as well so please let me know. Don't forget to breathe! It will be fantastic whatever you decide!

As I was reading this I was thinking about a little photo book as well. I usually use shutterfly and they usually have deals too. All great ideas. Thanks!
