  1. Great thread on pashminas. Makes it affordable for gifts!
  2. Soo informative. Thank you! I hope you had a beautiful and happy wedding!
  3. Such great information. Thank you! I definitely want to do a ttd session in a cenote and I'll be going with a local photographer.
  4. Thanks so much for posting this. It's a great list of all the traditional poses we wanted.
  5. I will be doing this as well. Thanks for the tip about trying it in advance. I'm not getting married until October, so I have plenty of time to try some places.
  6. Mrs HK ~ I sent a pm. Thanks! Congrats to all the upcoming brides! Can't wait to hear all about it. Safe travels and best wishes for a perfect day!

Hopefully it won't be too heavy to take to Mexico. When you click to reply there is actually an inset image button you can hit. There's the row that starts with size then its text color. Further down is a little picture of mountains and a sun (2 before the smiley). You click that to insert an image.
  9. We're going to have guests sign river rocks where they can either write a message or just sign their name. Then we will display them in a vase and with my natural touch bouquet on top.

  11. Thank you soo much for all the information! Now if I only knew how many guests are actually coming versus saying they want to.
  12. ZackJess I love the mother of the bride tank tops with the starfish. Where did you find them? Thanks
  13. I would like the mib supplies if they are still there. Sent you a pm.
  14. After waiting 2 weeks I finally got a confirmation for our wedding! My TA was great in getting them to respond. I read their correspondence and it was a lot of wishy washy answers. Luckily, from reading this thread, I was aware of the communication issues. Anyway, I wanted 4pm, but that was not an option. So we are doing 2pm on 10/13/14. Now I get to pay my deposit. I believe I read on here that fax was the best method. We wanted the pool deck, but I seriously doubt we will have enough people. We decided to do both the ceremony and the reception on the beach with no cocktail hour. And Loripanori ~ Great video. Thanks! We are doing a legal ceremony as well.
  15. Hola! I was a Beaches Turks and Caicos bride, but due to some changes, we have changed venue to Dreams RC! I'm working my way through the posts and am loving the reviews and tips. I feel like I've been engaged forever, but that's ok, I'm a patient person. Me and the fiance got engaged last April 2012. We were supposed to get married this coming Oct 2013. After trying to get pregnant for about a year it happened and I'm due June 29th. Therefore we changed our date to Oct 2014 to give us time to focus on baby and wedding separately. Plus I don't want to try to fit back into my wedding dress in just 3 months! I'm still in the process of getting everything canceled and booked with Dreams. The date we want is October 13, 2014, but nothing is confirmed yet. Happy planning and congrats to all the brides!
  16. It is with sadness that I have to say I am no longer a Beaches T&C bride. We are still getting married, just changing venues. With a baby on the way, the expenses are adding up. We decided to switch over to Dreams in Mexico as it's much cheaper. While I can't have the venue I really want, I still get to marry my soul mate on a beach. Hopefully one of these years, I will make it to the resort. My two cents. I would go back to the beginning of this thread and read everything and start a spreadsheet or similar of all the tips and tricks. It really helped to answer soo many questions and concerns. The one thing I've learned over the course of all this. If you can be patient, it will all work out once you get to the resort. Happy planning and best of luck to you all!
  17. I felt the same way, wanted a sunset wedding on the beach. I opted for the reception around sunset as I can't justify nor afford the extra $600. Though if I had the money to burn, I would do it.
