Mine will be up. I like the half up, but honestly don't want to deal with it. I'd rather have it styled then forget about it. I'm going to do a trash the dress session and figured I can wear my hair down for that. Options are always good. Have some favorites picked out and see how the day goes to determine style.

How was the lighting for the beach. Did you pay for lighting or let them do it? Thanks

Hello DRC brides! We are getting married October 13, 2014. We've booked the complimentary package and will add things a la carte. It was cheaper than the next package for what we wanted. We will be having our wedding on the beach at 4pm and the reception at 5:30 also on the beach. I wanted the pool deck, but we won't have enough people. We will not be having a cocktail reception since there are a few bars and the guests can just go hang out or take some me time. I would be soo lost without this site. It's been soo helpful!

I remember reading the same thing about not having us sit in the dark. I thought it would fun to party on the beach, What white fabric do you mean? The one that is draped over the hoopah/arch on the beach? If so, it comes with it. What kind of wedding do you want? Do you have a theme in mind? We're doing the free package and adding the other things we want. It's cheaper that way for us than upgrading to the next package. We're doing natural touch flowers since I want to keep my bouquet. I got ceremony decor figured out, but not reception. I know it won't be much. I can't decide what I want and what will be easiest to take. I am doing a lot of stuff myself like invitations and program fans. I get a lot of wishy washy answers of who all is attending and its hard to plan without knowing the number of guests, My budget depends on it.

I'm having my reception on the beach as well. I am buying some paper lanterns to take down. The only problem is since it's on the beach I don't think I have anything to string them to. I was thinking of just putting lights in there and placing them around on the sand. The resort charges soo much for lighting

Thanks for all the useful information. I bookmarked soo many pages. I bought our cake topper from here. No problem what so ever. http://www.weddingcollectibles.com/ I bought my real touch bouquet from here. They took months to put it together, but they said that it would take a while. They emailed me a proof pic of it and I changed a couple things. Then it took a couple more months. When I finally got it, it was perfect. Once you give the ok on the proof you can not change anything. I will soon be ordering the boutonnieres and bridesmaids flower from them as well. http://www.wedideas.com

Emma, did you see MrsHK post a few back? It's on page 1182, She lives in Mexico now and has some items she is renting to brides. One of the items you can rent is a sound system with a microphone. I will be renting one from her and not the resort. We're trying to save some money by having an ipod wedding instead of a dj.

Congrats. We are having our reception on the beach as well. I heard it can get a little windy and chilly, but that can vary on the time of the year. The deck minimum is 60 with a max of 120 people, I would like to know what part of the beach the reception will take place, The location spreadsheet just says beach. I am wanting to see how many trees are around? I want to string some lights around. The pictures show only open space and no trees.

If only they were purple! Damn. Good luck selling them.
