Not sure if this will be helpful to anyone or not, but I just found out Stacey Clarke no longer does videography. She does still do photography (that's who I booked). I am in the process of booking of Elite Media Concepts. I went back and forth on this over and over because they are expensive, but other videographers were booked for our date and I love their work, so I just decided to splurge on this...I will be working lots of extra overtime at work to afford it though lol!

purple and green wedding combo?
Laura2013 replied to 2010bride's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
We are going the less traveled route with soft romantic colors. Nude, pales pinks and ivorys. My mother is afraid my pictures may be washed out but I am staying postitive and think they will be beautiful. : ) -
Iberostar Grand Rose Hall 2013 Brides
Laura2013 replied to roses1234's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
We are not getting married there, but we are getting married at the Iberostar Beach Resort and will be having our honeymoon at the Grand Rose In March 2013. The Grand is so beautiful, I am excited to do nothing but relax there after our wedding! There is tons of information on this site as well as the two Facebook sites for Iberostar Montego Bay Brides. Here are the links to them: http://www.facebook.com/events/484809364885008/#!/groups/125122217571235/ http://www.facebook.com/events/484809364885008/#!/groups/38969678070/ -
Has any one recieved the 2013 package/option and pricing info? I just emailed the Beach Wedding Coordinator inquiring it, but I should have checked with you girls first. Thanks!

2013 Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Brides

I was offered the same quote, but she provides a discount if you pay in full at the time of booking. So instead of $240 I paid $216 for hair, make-up, lashes. She was really good at getting back to me quickly and I paid via paypal. I really hope I don't have to pay a vendor fee (we are booked at the Beach). -
I have a question. Did you ask people to be in your bridal party before they booked their trip? I don't want anyone to feel obligated to make the trip if I ask them. The people we want to ask say they are coming but I just feel like they may not have fully realized how much it will cost, etc and then will realize and reconsider. But by not asking it is making people wonder and not to mention it is making planning really difficult!

Pics of my DIY Real Touch Bouquet

Awesome job!! Thanks for sharing, it gives me hope that I may be able to accomplish some DIY flowers! -
Thanks for your opinion Jreist. Very good point- I don't want people to party too hard Friday night (including myself!). And good point about bringing my own sound stuff. I have an ipod BOSE speaker that prob would work just fine. I am leaning towards doing it the night of the wedding, but will play it by ear for now. Thanks!

Wondering if anyone has any advice regarding when to do a bonfire and how long. I am torn betweeen doing it the night before (Friday) or after our dinner/reception the day of the wedding (Saturday). A lot of our guest will most likely be arriving on Friday. I also am wondering about having music for the bonfire. If we didn't have music, I am not sure if we would regret not having it? We would like to have a fire dancer for the bonfire as well and not sure if he has his own music I know we are going have Steel Drums for the ceremony and am trying to keep the expenses down.

Tropical Weddings Jamaica Brides?
Laura2013 replied to beachbum21's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
I originally looked into this and understood it like this: You have to pay for any of the addtinal services you would like and not the set wedding price. When I asked about just doing the reception at the resort they sent me the pricing for all the addional services they offer with weddings (bon fire, DJ, cocktail, renting the Disco, etc). Hope this helps! -
Has anybody used Elite Media Concepts for videography?
Laura2013 replied to tanya2chris's topic in Jamaica Wedding Vendors
I would absolutely love to book Elite Media Concepts for a videographer, but am running over budget as it is. We are also having an at home reception which is costing a lot more than I planned...I was hoping to book RGweddings (RoxRoy) but he is not available. Can anyone else recommend a videographer with lower prices than Elite Media but still quality work? I know I do NOT want to book Digital Images through the resort. Thanks! -
Tori or PuntaBride, or anyone else with the template-can someone please email me the template? I have been working hard to get enough posts, but still got a way to go. This is definitely my favorite invitation I have seen by far. You girls did a great job! And thank you so much Tori for still be active on here and helping us all out! My email is: [email protected]

2013 Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Brides
Laura2013 replied to CourtandMatt's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
Good catch Allie! I realized that it wasn't ran by the resort earlier today. My photographer, Stacey Clarke is one of creators. I'm excited, between this site and that FB site, planning will a little easier : ) -
We got engaged at Sandals Whitehouse in March (private candlelit dinner on the beach). We would be getting married there, but we will be having kids in our wedding so we are getting married in Montego Bay at Iberostar. We LOVED Whitehouse, it really is beautiful and you have lots of options- you can do as little or as much as you want. It is about an hour an a half from the airport, which may not be ideal for some wedding guests to travel that far, but we didn't mind a bit. The drive gave a chance to see a lot more of the island. We saw a couple weddings in passing when we we were there, but they weren't big- just a bride and groom and a witness or two right on the beach (not private at all). I know they have different locations that didn't see any other weddings so can't be much help in that department, but I know we want to go back someday-we loved it.

I am not sure, but really hope so I am not a fan of round tables either. The resort has recently started a Facebook page and have been posting pictures of wedding setups and I have been keeping my eyes pealed for Uncle Tony's. It hasn't been posted yet. -
Villa Weddings Brides - Jamaica!

Beautiful photos!!! LOVE the painting!! How did you get in contact with him and do you still have his information?? Also where did you purchase your lanterns? -
I am not having a catamaran reception, but we are doing a catamaran the day after the wedding. I was concerned about my 82 year old Grandmother getting on and off so I asked about how we get on and off the boat and she told me that we board and exit using a dock so my Grandmother should not have any issues. I am sure diffeent companies probably have different ways (dingy, walking in the water, etc.), but was relieved to know they use a dock. I booked through Denise at Jamaicawatersports (also known as Freestyle). I finally went ahead and booked with them yesterday. I had been going back and forth for awhile now because there isn't a lot of feedback on them and the few reviews that I have read have been great and not so great. In the end I felt that the good reviews held more weight in my opinion and felt ok regarding my communication with Denise. We are just having a two hour open bar trip with snorkeling and not a reception. However I did read a review on here from a bride that did a full reception through them and said it was really great. I booked it so now I am just going have faith that it will be a positive experience!

I am still not sure of a timeline or if we are going rent out Uncle Tony's for the private reception or not. I think we are going wait to we get a better idea of how many guests we are having. Our ceremony is at 5:30pm. Not sure if we are going do a cocktail hour before or after (or do one at all), we are definitely going eat dinner after the ceremony. At this point I have no idea what we are going to do after dinner but know that we wil most likely end up (late night) at the Disco. Also, just wanted to share that Iberostar Resorts (Montego Bay) have recently created a Facebook page. I thinks its another good way for us to communicate and get our questions answers. If you have problems with the link, search for Iberostar Resorts Brides & Weddings on FB. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn#!/IberostarResortsBridesWeddingsy
