Hi, I am looking for suggestions for a first dance song and to be played by a steel drum band. We want to do our first dance on the beach right after the ceremony. The wedding coordinator said they basically can play anything, but I am having a hard time knowing what it will sound like with just the drums and no vocalist. Anyone have any suggestions??

I loved your video!! Ironically, I booked Elite Media Concepts yesterday. It was more than I wanted to spend, but I agree with you - the video captures so many things that photography can't. I know I will treasure it forever. Do you remember how long it took to get the final product? I was really hoping to get it in time for our reception we are having in the states two months after the wedding.

I reallly don't know if it's in addition to the $18 (I really hope not), but having it is. Hopefully they will official go public with this option real soon or someone else finds out more than I have and posts it on here.

Our wedding date is our 7th (dating) anniversary. We got engaged on our 6th anniversary in Jamaica so we are so happy that we were able to have our 7th year anniversary be our wedding day.

Ok I just got an answer back from one of the Beach WCs regarding what the beach menu was that she mentioned: Here is what she sent me (pasted below). Now it says 'proposal' so I am not sure what is going on. She did say in a previous email to me that tables, linens, etc were provided if we chose the Beach Menu. She said the tent was not included and would have to be rented through Tai Flora. Anyone else have any further info?? Ok so it sounds like a "beach reception" is in the process of being created and may be making its official debut in December. I read this on one of the FB pages for us Iberostar brides. The Beach WC also mentioned a beach reception in an email to me me the other day.... I was really confused...what beach reception?? I will let you all know if I find out anything more, please do the same. Thanks!

Ok so now I am really confused about a beach reception. I just got this email back from one of the Beach WCs (her reply is in blue): Santena, Thank you for all that information and getting back to me so quickly, it is extremely helpful. Just had a few more questions. We would love to have a beach reception. Is there an additional fee for the beach reception? For the beach reception if you’re choosing from the beach menu we will provide the tables, silver wares, chairs etc. but if you’re going to rent the tent it would be an additional cost. You mentioned we would need to rent a tent if we had a certain amount of people, how many people would require a tent? The tents come with different sizes for different prices you can reach out to Tai flora to know additional information about tents. We work with an external company called Tai Flora; below you will find the web page: www.taiflora.com If we don't need to rent the tent, are there a minimum number of people required to have a beach reception? Is the tent rented through Tai Flora or Iberostar? Tai flora so you can reach out to them their email address is above. Do you know the cost for the tent? Does the resort use DJ's from a certain DJ company? We do provide our own DJs. I also didn't see the script for the ceremony attached. Could you send that to me when you can. Thanks, I finally found one on here after searching for awhile. Now I need to find some small containers to hold the sand for the guests. I see a trip to Michael's in my near future. : )

I know I have read the bride and groom are allowed to take off their bracelets for the wedding day, but does anyone know if the guests are permitted to take them off as well? This may not be a big deal to some people, but I am also a photographer and I know its going bother me if those bracelets make it into all of our photos. Thanks!

She actually already emailed me back already : ) She said they do not have a new 2013 list but will email to me one immediately if one becomes available. The lady that emailed me back name was Santena and she was great, she answered all of the questions I asked (at least 10). I was very pleasantly surpised. : )

I researched for hours and hours and finally decided on Iberostar mainly because it is made up of three sister resorts that are side by side so you can walk on the beach from one to the other. We are having our wedding on the beach at the least expensive one but are staying at the middle one and then the most expensive one for our honeymoon. We wanted to give our guests the most options when it came to price because we knew that would be the biggest factor determing if they could go or not. I also based my choice of resorts on the hundreds of positive reviews I read on Tripadvisor for all three of the Iberostar resorts as well as completely positive reviews from past brides.

I got the Vistaprint Groupon and am hoping to make our welcome letter, I Spy cards and maybe invitations if I am have good luck with the other projects. I have made my Save the Date magnets on Vistaprint and they came out good. I am having trouble figuring out what to do for inivites because I want to incorporate a photograph and they don't have any templates that I liked with photographs. I liked a few with white backgrounds but would like to change the white to a different color and it doesn't look like that is a possible option. So looks like I will have to create the design myself first and then upload it to Vistaprint, that's going take me some time to figure out.

Well, I am finally going through with it and splurging on Elite Media Concepts, I was going to book Roxroy but he was booked for our date. I know I won't be disappointed, but I will have to make concessions in order to afford them. Good luck to everyone else still looking!
