  1. Beautifu! It fits you really great. I hope you had a good experience at Kleinfields. Congrats!
  2. I love it! It really is elegant and it is different! I have never seen a dress like that before. Congrats!
  3. When you post, there is a small icon in the upper left corner underneath where it says "Source." If you click on it it, it will allow you to insert an image. Hope that helps, would love to see your photos!
  4. Ok, I am starting to get frantic with three months to go and realize I need to buckle down and start really planning. Originally I was planning on doing a quick rehearsal and then bonfire the night before. But now I am contemplating doing a bonfire/DJ reception with open bar. Has anyone done this? My main concerns are getting my dress dirty and smoky smelling (even though I prob shouldn't care because I am going do a TTD lol), how well lit the area will be because we are having it videographed/photographed, and how easy it will be to dance (do they provide a hard surface or do you have to rent one?)
  5. I am debating on going barefoot or not. I think I def am going go barefoot for the ceremony but need shoes for dinner and dancing later. I have been looking for nice flat dressy sandals but havent been having much luck. Anybody have the whole wedding party go barefoot?
  6. I knew from the moment I got engaged I wanted these, researchng all the different sites lited on here for biogradable ones. Our WC at Iberostar said they are allowed and they help light them. Yay!
  7. We have been having a hard time figuring out the guys will wear too, but we finally just ordered a suit for my fiance off studionsuits.com. We read a lot of good things about them on this site. We are going have the groom with the full suit- pants, vest and jacket and then the groomsmen in just pants and vests. Now I am trying to figure out what to do for their shoes...who knew figuring out the guys outfits would be so complicated!
  8. Iberostar Rose Hall Beach, Montego Bay Jamaica on March 23, 2013 - our 7 year dating anniversary
  9. Thanks for posting your timeline for when you get there. I have been stressing over this and am going to yours a guide and hopefully complete mine soon : )
  10. Beautiful! I love how you incorporated the starfish. I am definitely having real touch flowers so I can have them forever!
  11. Working on 150 posts, seems to be taking forever and now our wedding is only a little more than 3 months to go. Can't wait to be able to finally access these templates and get started on some DIYs!
  12. Awww your engagement photos are beautiful! I am a photographer and think your photographer did an amazing job!
  13. There are a few different ones listed on this site under Jamaican Vendors where you can find links to their work and comments from past brides. We ended up booking Elite Media Concepts (they are both a Jamaica and Florida based company). Their work is unbelievably amazing. They are expensive too and that is why it took me a while to book them, but I think it is going be well worth the splurge. If you can't find videographer info on the other threads, let me know and I will send you links.
  14. I love photographs, so we are having a photobooth at both our AHR and at our Jamaica Wedding. For our AHR, the photobooth photos will be used to make our guestbook. The company has an attendant there who assists the guests write their message which is then transformed into a book using their handwriting next to their photos. And for our Jamaican wedding, we got lucky and our photographer offered a photobooth option that I couldn't resist.
  15. We ordered my fiance's suit last week. So far we are really impressed with the company. We messed up one of the measurements (forgot to double the pant leg opening) and they emailed us right away to let us know something didn't look right. Will update on here once we receive the suit.
  16. Thank you to all the brides who wrote about studiosuits (especially Kellykanester). My fiance just ordered his yesterday. We followed the measurement guide and rounded up a tiny bit on a couple so hopeully fits and we love it so we can have the groomsmen order from them. Also, for the pants, vest and jacket and shipping it came to $174 (we live in the US so no duty). Thanks again- your bridal party pics looks fantastic Kely!
  17. No I hadn't heard or seen anything about Marlon Mcleod while searching for a videographer. Sorry I can't be any help.
  18. I looked into booking Elite Media's DJ service as well but I just couldnt justify the cost because it really adds up with the vendor fees and I already am splurging with their videography services. All the reviews I read on them were excellent though, so I really wanted to book them. I feel like I dont know what I am going get with booking the resort DJ....
  19. I feel the exactly same way as carajoe08. I really did hesitate for months about booking Elite Media, but finally did and am cutting things in other areas (decorations, flowers, etc) to make it work. For me, when all of this is said and done, I am only going to have the photographs and videos, so I would rather splurge on those than on flowers. I did look into a few of the other videographers, but the only other one I liked was booked for my day. So I am splurging and just thinking how cool it is going be to relive the day on our 5th, 10th, etc anniversary and hopefully share it with our kids and grandkids someday.
  20. Hi Nattiejamrock, We are getting married on March 23 2013 at the Beach, but are staying at the Suites (and then the Grand for our Honeymoon). Right now my plan is to get ready in one of my bridesmaid room that plans on staying at the Beach, but if she ends up staying at the Suites I have read they are very accomodating and with cart me over to the Beach, so I don't become a hot mess from trucking across the beach...We are getting there three days before the wedding so I plan on meeting withe the WC when we get there and going through everything. I am trusting that everything will go as planned!
  21. Got my dress. Its a convertible, which is what sold me. 2 for the price of 1! Its being slightly altered. I am getting it made into a slight sweetheart, having it bustled and having our wedding date embroidered in blue. Can't wait to get it back. Now I need to figure out shoes...
  22. This is my short dress. My wedding dress is actually a convertible, so the bottom comes off and this is what it looks like. I love it, it was what sold me on the dress. The pic below is the dress with bottom attached.(Unfortunately these pics were taken after working a 13 hr shift soI look like mess but at least the dress looks great : )
