Dani, Yes I totally agree I am going to try and do more DIY then I could budget more in for photography. Same here everyone has an opinion def one of the perks of a DW not much choice for others to input although they still try..lol Can't wait until everyone comes around on my end. I would like to do more for my guests as well, I feel like for those who travel I should atleast offer a nice time and a little perk for attending a DW so yes, the less that actually come the better. It is a beautiful island and none of my guests have been so that's exciting. You are so right we are marrying the men we love I have to keep this in mind when I doubt my decisions. It is all about what he and I want. I love hearing about all our planning too its great to connect to others who are doing the same or similar to you. We can relate to each other. In the end all of our end results will be beautiful endings.

Dani, You are the best at making me feel better..Iol I was already feeling bad about the whole DW wedding(lots of family /friends complaining loooonnng story) Which is why I loove the boards so much other people I can actually talk to and relate to. am going to do just that I am going to send emails to both eyespice and tropical and see the results I get. I have seen the beaches work and seen the reviews, they are quite pricey and okay but not the best also I read that your not allowed to pick which photographer you want or see previous work they just assign one to you.

hahaahhah!! So I see both of our FI's feel the same way. I am going to have to sugar talk him into the same. We already have children and they are actually leaving 2days after the wedding and traveling back with family so he should really understand the fact that we need to have our honeymoon alone. I mean how is it that we are getting a children break and being stuck with family and friends.

I actually have been reading the beaches roll call thread and I have seen that other brides have used them the day of but off the resort before or after the ceremony and using the beaches photographer for the actual wedding. I actually want the whole day photographed and recorded from beginning to end us getting prepared the before after and during. If I could figure out a way to have them or another photographer do this I would be ecstatic but I don't know how strict they are on the policy if we can mask them as guests. Thank you so much for the encouragement on my decisions.

Kim yes That is crazy that the beach bbq would cost more. but your right I guess they are figuring more to set up and charging for that. Oh yes, Danie which places did you visit? I hear that turks is beautiful. I can not wait to see for myself. My coworker just came back from vacation there he has a timeshare. I was so jealous.

I agree don't want the girls to have to shell out too much money but, this is why I am allowing them to have input in thier dresses they can maybe find something cute and reusable

I think the aqua looks good with the coral I was thinking of maybe the MOH having the aqua and maybe the flower girl having the accent and the other girls wear the coral but I'm not sure. They actually saw a dress they like on david's bridal in coral it was an alfred angelo design.

Actually the same applies here. I am not the creative DIY type however, this site is really inspiring me to want to at least try. Also, to be able to save and cut corners will help me be able to have extras that I want, because I do see how everything can add up. I know that I can't print at work but I am hoping that FI will be able to print at work or we might be able to get a reasonable discount from a vendor that they use. I am going to seriously get on my grid and make it happen.

lol.that's my issue not to sure that I want to be around family after wedding for the entire honeymoon. I mean love my family and friends but it's supposed to be my honeymoon not a family vacation. I think I am going to see how long all the guests book before I decide. FI is one of those people though who wants to be around family and friends

they came out great love your pics on the back. I know what you mean it is very time consuming DIY but, I am hoping that I can hang in there I am going to give myself a little more time to practice before I give up it is soooooo tempting to go ahead and order.

I saw them here on the site many of the ladies are using them. There are quite a few posts under wedding flowers, decorations, cake etc. where you can see pics. I agree they would make good keepsakes. It also would be a nice touch for your mom to make. I am leaning towards the real touch they really do look like real flowers and I would love to be able to keep.

oh okay thanks I will check that site out now as well as google. I have already looked at the blogs on Tropical I love their work. I would love to do a site visit I initially just decided we are going to do a DW because it is beautiful as well as less hassle of an at home wedding. Then we decided beaches resort because they have so much for the children and we have children as well as great reviews by those without children and an AI is better for guests traveling. However, now after doing more research I am thinking I might want more in my wedding then a pre-packaged wedding. I am even considering discussing with FI to postpone the wedding in order for me to do site visits now and be sure of my choice. Oh decisions decisions. I really need to stay off this site it's making me second guess I'm beginning to be jealous of those with more planning.. OMG I how am I going to decide on flowers when I'm second guessing everything...

I see you had many DIYs how long did you take for wedding planning? Do you think you save enough money for the time/work put in yourself? I'm trying to figure out just how much I want to do myself

you are very welcome loved your TTD session the underwater shots were amazing and love the dress change your photographer did an excellent job. I really do wish that our resort allowed outside vendors. I really am considering changing venues I'm so conflicted.

Kim I agree the reception should be fun and full of dancing. I am also very indecisive probably is for the best that my choices are limited as far as vendors. I still haven't even looked at dresses my self I thought I was the only one behind in that area. Yes, I agree the flowers are quite pricey. I have been thinking of getting the real touch flowers recommended by many of the ladies on here or possibly DIY flowers.
