  5. I actually love coral and grey was one of my choices ..Coral is my color. Coral is pretty with navy too I think
  6. My FI same way he's the one pushing for here. I am going to have to go suck it up and go maybe will start off with a small one 2 -3 days or something. I don't think I can do a whole week just so terrified. Yellow is a nice pop color. That's cute dress code packages.. I'm not sure of a tie either. My FI is always so hot he already said make sure we have an arch or something for him to stand under on the beach. true indeed less stress than a "regular wedding" but, still has it's stresses. teal/aqua and grey I like..your colors are the fuscia and teal?
  7. Jessica im not the best with colors either but i've seen those colors together seem very tropical great for a DW
  8. Im gonna check this out..need to start losing but suck at diets
  9. Mrs Smith you'll do 5 or more im sure of it.. there are many useful threads on BDW to comment on.. even better once you can see the pics
  10. Manly tropIcal colors hahaha... they used to have a lighter brown Oh okay no wedding party. Less headache. .lol.. that's nice including everyone being a part of wedding. All white pics are really nice
  11. Wow! Funny his mom never being on a plane. Before planning a DW I had no idea so many of my family or FH family had never been on a plane.... Cruise honeymoon sound amazing im so terrified of cruises need to get over it.FH has wanted to go on a cruise for years
  12. Atleast you have a variety. .are you going to put in oot bags or have a flip flop station? I was thinking if having guest wear a certain color as well but not sure now. Turks is a lot more expensive than some other islands however I did give guest 2 yrs of notice if our intentions of having a turks wedding. All that will be able to join us we are delighted to have those who are unable will be missed but it is what we want! 13 days is amazing wish we had that long. Where will honeymoon be? You are so correct warm..tropical drinks and beach we are all lucky will be fabulous:-)

  15. Great if that's the date you want. . You can include your grandfather by haviing his picture in your bouquet or something similar. Im still trying to include FH's mom i was thinking of doing her picture somewhere or a tribute in program.

I actually was looked at Turks at first... I have always wanted to go there. I changed my mind about having my wedding there because it is a Beaches. All you girls are so nice picking places that are family friendly to accommodate your guest!! I have a few couples with kids. I really wasn't sure what kind of response I was going to get when I told them Adults Only. I am very lucky that I got a very positive response from all the parents! They actually all Thanked me for "making" them go on an awesome vacation without their kids. Yes, this is true the website is pretty good you can plan everything. I love being able to see all my choices especially since I was unable to do a site visit. I have my own children so although, I do want family friendly for my guests it is more so for my own children. Wouldn't dream of having my wedding without them being there. yes, I will have to just stock up during the year.. I'm not sure what color I would get for the guys, but probably the tan or grey. maybe even black. Well, I haven't sent out the invites yet however we have a few people who have booked from the STD's we sent out roughly 150 give or take a few more or less, we sent to the same as we would have if it was an at home wedding even though we knew most wouldn't make it. We didn't want to exclude anyone. When I send out the invites it will be to the same people. We have had many complaints about cost and inconvenience however, I'm learning to deal with it. We gave people more than enough time to save up and to get time off in advance. We notified friends and family of the destination wedding even before booking so in total it would be about 2yrs advance notice.
  17. I totally agree.. I admit in the beginning I felt bad since it was away and there were MANY complaints but now I feel as you do... I missed it this year and am so pissed wanted to stack up for the wedding and possibly put in OOT bags since wedding is in May my loss.. 36 WOW!!! I am soooo jealous.. too funny the baby said Shoes as her second word!!! expensive habit she's already blooming lol.. Well Jessica that's a start, things will fall into place. WOW that SUCKS!! WTH weren't you notified?? You are absolutely right lousy customer service! I hope all works out for you!
  18. I think that is a great way of honoring your grandfather by having your wedding on his birthday since he can't be there physically. You should keep your date and she should understand she does have enough time to come up with a few days off. Rayn Drop I wanted a Sandals resort as well. We had to choose beaches instead due to the children being allowed. St. Lucia was my first choice and then Turks & Caicos my 2nd. I have never been to St. Lucia just seems so amazing! that's a must on my list supposed to go back to turks for 1 yr anniversary but maybe I can get a trip there in between. (already planning a wedding anniversary before the wedding ha ha ha) No I have not been to Beaches/Sandals before have you? Great!!! So which day are you going with the Wednesday?
  19. Thanks MissJali, Yes, that will be a great souvenir I was thinking the same wanted to put our monogram on our bags for keepsake.. It should be this is quite a blow. $2000 extra is a huge burden on the budget. But, don't let it deter you continue to be happy in your planning! I am sure everything will turn out just fine and you will have the day you want!!!
