I DIY's my bouquet. I got the flowers from Chintz and Company in Edmonton, AB, Canada, but they have locations in Calgary, Vancouver , and Victoria too. I got the roses from Michaels . I used floral tape to hold the flowers together, and then cut the stems. The lady at Chintz then wrapped the stem with solid white thick ribbon, and then went over that with a sheer, shimmery white ribbon, then finished it off with 2 pins. I would have wrapped it myself but she offered for free, It was super easy!!!!

Im looking to get Bubba mugs engraved for the wedding party. Does anyone know of a place that isn't ridiculous for engraving fees? I've look at a few places and there is a $10 surcharge per item unless you bought the item in store, which pisses me off since the mugs arent even worth $10 haha.

I've heard that they are very good at application too, but that they use cheaper make up brands. I'm using them since I can't justify forking up the vendor fee, but I'm going to bring my own make up collection and see if they will just apply my stuff for me. I'm also going to bring fake eye-lashes and see if they will apply them too.

For your sticker idea: I ordered stickers for my mugs from http://www.stickeryou.com/ and they turned out great. They are waterproof and sun proof and stick very well. I got a groupon for them so they came to a very good price, but I dont know about their ordinary prices. Shipping is cheap though, I found that shipping was overpriced on many other sticker places such as many sellers on Etsy.

Ok I just did some little travel searching myself, and it looks like the prices just aren't out yet from Winnipeg, but they likely will still offer seats. I ran into this problem too when I booked so early. I know it's hard to be patient but you will probably get a better price if you wait until a bit closer to your date. Good luck!!

Jolene028, First of all, it is a LONG time away, everything will work out, so don't worry! Firstly, definitely get another quote from a different travel agent. Secondly, go back to the person covering for your original person and ask for them to honour the previous price since you have already made plans based on that price. If she's a bit*h then tell her that you will wait until the other lady is back. You've got a long time still, so I think you can hold out for even a few months (and in the mean time, look for a new travel agent). What resort are you going to? I went to the Iberostar Veradero and had an excellent travel agent organize that (for a wedding) out of Lloydminster, but she organized trips from Edmonton, Calg, and Saskatoon. I'm sure she could do it from Calg and Winnipeg. Her name is Gina and she works from the Carlson Wagonlit Travel in Lloydminster , 780-875-4414. I regret not using her for my wedding. The bride and groom said that she checked their prices daily until they got one that was low enough for everyone. Mine is a piece of shit lol who really doesnt care about getting the best prices or anything. Don't worry, it will be Okay!!

Royal Decameron Wedding - February 2013
Ploman replied to jennleigh's topic in Puerto Vallarta Wedding Vendors
Ok I re-read that and it sounded negative, and I want to re-assure you that I LOVED it there. I only put in the negative stuff so that you're not surprised, but that was seriously the ONLY negative stuff of the entire trip and it was all non-serious. I've had 10+ friends go there over the years too and they all loved it too!!! -
I saw some very cute flowy dresses at American Eagle lately, all around or under $50.

Royal Decameron Wedding - February 2013
Ploman replied to jennleigh's topic in Puerto Vallarta Wedding Vendors
I was not married there but I went there last year. I hope its the same one.. it's in Nuevo Vallarta? Have you been there before? I only have general details about the resort, not about the wedding program. It was a cheaper resort, I think we paid $1000 pp in high season, but I loved it and would go back in a minute. The food was really good, there was a good variety of food, the was rarely a line up for drinks, there were a lot of drinks to chose from, and it was a great location. The pool closest to the beach is pretty ugly, and its the first one you see when you go into the resort. Dont let that scare you, the rest are beautiful! The beach is great too, lots of sea glass which I love hunting for. You can get a massage on the beach for $20/hour well worth it. The downside may be the rooms, which are not very pretty and don't have a mini-fridge. But they are immaculately clean, and no bugs at all (they must use a lot of pesticides). I didn't have a problem with the rooms at all. The other downside is that the pool chairs dont have covers on them so they arent that comfy, but a lot of people bring floaties to sit on... no problem. Plus I never sit for more than 30 minutes before I get up to eat again anyways. There are a lot of bars to chose from which is nice! The disco is huge and has good music. It was pretty dead when we went. We never went to any of the shows but the stadium that they are in is very nice. Any questions? -
I am having just about 100 guests too. We ordered factory 21 mugs and I am really happy with them. 100 Mugs takes up about 2 large suitcases. We are having our immediate family take a suitcase of ours each as their second suitcase. We will likely have 5-6 extra suitcases, at $25 each (for all decor, dresses etc), which is a cost that I'm totally ready to cover for my wedding.

I ordered some from California Sea Shell Company but duty was VERY expensive. I think if you get a 40% off coupon from Michaels on each bag of shells then they turn out to be a pretty good price. You may also ask your florist in your destination, they may rent them out to you! I've also seen some in Winners, but they come in bags of other stuff (like wood, tweed etc), but you still get about 5 in a bag for $12 (even if it means you throw out the rest of the stuff). I also found some on Kijiji for cheap. you could try ebay?

Cute poems or sayings in OOT bags
Ploman replied to flloyd75's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
You've probably seen these on here before, but for the mugs a common one is "To have and to hold, To keep your drinks cold". For the survival kit we are doing mostly health related stuff (pepto, Emergen-C, tylenol etc ), and so on one side we are doing the standard poem "Too much Booze, Too much sun, too much food, too much fun" and on the back we are saying "In Sickness and in Health..."
