  1. I went to 'Create a custom T-Shirt' (or wherever you go to start making a t-shirt), then it brings you to a place to chose a design. I chose the most basic design, it looks like this: Then at the top of the page hit 'Get more customization options": Once you hit that, you can change the font, the font size, the font colour, and direction of font. Unfortunately you have to do that one 'text box' at a time (for each line). If you want to add an image, hit the "Image" box under "Insert". If you hit "Chose File" then it will take you to your computer to upload something (such as your custom monogram etc). This will cost around $3.50, but only a one time cost for however many shirts you order (and if you have a coupon code then it will be discounted). If you want free images, which is what I used, then hit "Search our Image Library" (under Next Steps, below "Chose file". Here, you can search by keyword. For example, if you search "Sun" then you will get 14 pages of 'suns' that you can chose. You can then crop and rotate the picture. Once it is in the T-Shirt design area, you can move it around, stretch or shrink it, etc. If you hit "insert text" then you can add more word lines. That's about all I did hehe. Good luck!
  2. It's BCBGeneration and I got it at The Bay in Edmonton, Canada. I've seen it online though at amazon Not sure if this works but its this dress: http://www.amazon.com/BCBGeneration-Womens-Shoulder-Pleated-Dress/dp/B006D9V1KA
  3. I found some 50% off at Walmart in Canada, in the auto section (I think it's a Mr Lube, but the products are sold via Walmart)
  4. Here are some example monograms that I made as an example from that website...(above)
  5. Someone posted a link to this website in an earlier forum and in case you're wanting a monogram, this website generates them for you and they are super cute: http://www.weddingchicks.com/freebies/custom-monograms/ just click on the design that you like (unfortunately only about 15 available), and then you can enter your own letters, date, location information, and chose whatever colours you like, and then it downloads a monogram for you. You can then upload that monogram to most customizable products etc, or print it out on paper, invitations etc. I love it!!! I think im going to print mine out on sticker paper, and then cut them into circles and put them on the cheap dollarama plastic shot glasses for when we're playing drinking games at the resort.
  6. Great price for those mugs! I'm still on the lookout for bulk promotional sunglasses. Hoping to keep the price under $2/ piece. Hopefully shipping from Canada because im so sick of paying customs fees! If anyone sees them let me know! Something like this:
  7. if you sign up for their emails then they send you discounts about once a week. When I did that it took several weeks to get a coupon email, and I think that I only got them because I finally ordered something before getting any emails. Retail-me-not has coupon codes that I've used successfully before: http://www.retailmenot.com/view/vistaprint.com Otherwise keep your eyes out for Groupons. Brides post them on here quite often. They normally give you 30% off plus the value of the groupon (pay $17, get $70 worth of product). Good luck!
  8. Hi! I think going down a day early is a fabulous idea!!! Wish I'd thought of that. I bought my flowers in store, at Winners (same store as the HomeSense). This is what they look like: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/gallery/image/view/album/107575/id/147108/sort/display_order Yea they are silk. I don't have any flower girls coming, but will have someone put silk flower petals down the aisle before we all come down. My bouquet will be the only real one. I love the idea of overlooking the jungle for the ceremony!!
  9. Dang my shipping is $36 for 100 lanyards and 100 clear vinyl baggies
  10. I just got some amazing shell garlands off Kijiji, Four 6ft strands for $15. Makes me feel like an idiot for paying $70 for shells of the internet haha. Anyways keep your eye out on Kijiji for wedding stuff if you're looking to bring stuff down. These are kind of cute: http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-services-wedding-Beach-wedding-favours-W0QQAdIdZ401085406
  11. My cousin just had the bridesmaids each carry a single flower and it looked beautiful. That may be in your budget. I've heard that you are busy the day before the wedding, so you may not want to add in the stress of making time to go into town to buy flowers. But if you know the area or have it pre-planned then you may have time. Parasols are lovely too. No one will notice the bridesmaids once you come out anyways :-) I got fake flower bridesmaids bouquets from Winners for $8 each and I love them. I will ask each of the bridesmaids carry them down in their carry-ons so that they don't get squished. Good luck!
  12. I probably would have ended up buying a $4000 dress from Blush except the lady never emailed me the specs like she said she would and I'm stubborn like that haha.
  13. Here's what I ended up with: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/gallery/image/view/album/107575/id/131976/sort/display_order I bet you could get a nice one on Kijiji or craigslist?
  14. I haven't tried it in the wind, but this is the one I bought. Shorter and to the side: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/gallery/image/view/album/107575/id/131976/sort/display_order
  15. I'm also thinking about doing a game like "Name that Drink". For this I would get the bartender to make say 5 drinks off the hotel drink menu, and pour each of those drinks into shot glasses (the 1 ounce ones from the dollar store). I'd then have say 6 guests volunteer to play the game. Each guest will get a shot glass of each drink, and then have to guess what drink it is. Somehow I'll make a points system. I'll probably do this game around the same time as the 'beer chugging competition', so that as many guests who want to be involved can be.
  16. Oh I tried on dresses there! They were all expensive and amazing haha. I ended up buying a less expensive dress in Edmonton, but my veil was still $125. It is a side veil with a flower and swarowski crystals (no idea how to spell that). I saw some very cheap veils in Davids Bridal... maybe check out some places like that.. more chain stores than boutique places..?
  17. Did anyone bring their own fabric for the Huppa? Do you need to bring stuff to tie it on with? Does anyone know how much it costs to rent a projector?
  18. hehe I actually got engaged at the Iberostar Veradero too! I'm super jealous that you get to go there lol. It's a really great resort!
