  1. Just found the self-laminating ones at dollarama, 8 for $1. No luggage tag included though. I put a vistaprint business card in them and they are a nice weight. I think cardstock would work well too. I think I will use them and just hole punch them and put ribbon as the tie. They look like this... but I only had a beaten up business card around and hastily put it in without much care. I think they would look much better if they were carefully done.
  2. Great job on the menu cards!!!
  3. I ordered 10. No I couldn't get the sale price and use the groupon, but the groupon gives 30% off plus the initial groupon savings. Im pretty sure it's still cheaper using groupon.
  4. For this one I uploaded my own design. I made it in powerpoint... incredibly easy! Then I saved it as a PDF, so I can upload it to anything.
  5. Now that I ordered the groupon, i realize it is for Vistaprint.com, not vistaprint.ca. I've just ordered some totes off of there with the groupon, and now I wonder if I will get hit with a customs/ duty fee for bringing them into Canada.... I'll let you know. It will probably take 2 or 3 weeks. I ordered the deluxe totes, with an uploaded image. Total came to $83, plus $11 shipping. After using my groupon ($70), the bill came to $23. With the $17 I paid for the groupon, this totals $40, for 10 deluxe custom totes ($4/tote). I'll update you when they come in as to quality and duties to Canada.
  6. May be too late, but for future brides in Canada, I found laminating tags and badge holders at walmart, both of which I've seen brides use. If you have a laminating machine they are 20/$2. The laminating machine is $30. The self laminating ones are 5/$3. The badge holders are 12/$2.
  7. MrsDesz, do you know how much your resort bill was? (Excluding flights, attire, flowers)? Any 'surprise' charges at the IRHB?
  8. McLecker, have you looked at 4imprint.ca? They have really low prices, but unfortunately have kind of high minimum orders.... not sure how many you need. Most minimum orders are 50 bags. Looks like you can get them from $3-5, which includes a personalization. But watch out for set up charges on some bags. For example: http://www.4imprint.ca/search/bags/product/C104606-L/Eco-Message-Bag-Large http://www.4imprint.ca/product/C103375/Carry-All-Tote-Bag These are 1.95 each but min order 75: http://www.4imprint.ca/search/bags/product/C107908-1312/Reusable-Grocery-Bag-13-x-12 Or these are 2.35 each, min order 75 http://www.4imprint.ca/search/bags/product/C109854/Oak-Tote-Bag
  9. I may add, that this is after a $25 savings by using the coupon code SUR0404
  10. I found them at 4imprint.ca. Minimum order of 144 glasses, but they come to 215$ for 144. After shipping (Canadian so no worry about duties), it comes to $257 for 144 of sunglasses. This includes personalization on the temples!! I only need 100, but I guess I will have 44 left over sunglasses with my name on them haha.
  11. I went to Walmart last night in Edmonton and found some things that I was looking at getting for guests: I am thinking about making Luggage tags. You can get the self-Laminating tags, 5 for $2.88. You can get the ones that need thermal laminating 20 for $2. A laminating machine is $30. You can get coil key holders 6 for $3.44. I was thinking about using these as the handle to make tip/ room key holders. I would order the zipper badge holder bags from ebay. You can get regular badge holders (for luggage tags) 12 for $1.98. THey come in verticle or horizontal. You can get 48 printable, clean edge, fold-able business cards for $10. If I had a smaller wedding group then I would definitely use this for place settings at the tables. You can get sticker paper, 15 pages for $11. You can use this to print out our own custom monograms and stick them on things (but it is NOT waterproof, it is just like a mailing label quality). I am going to bead the initials of our guests around their mug handles. I bought beads on ebay but they sell them at walmart, 300 random alphabet beads for $7. Larger size beads has I think 180 beads for $7. They have little sandal key chains in the kids party section. I think they are cute and will add them to the wedding party gifts (since they are cheap enough). 6 for $1. They sell landyards, 2 for $2.88. They also have little travel bags (looks like the passport holderrs that go around your neck, at 90 cents each.
  12. Yea, I love this one but I know I have no more luggage room to spare: http://www.weddingchicks.com/2012/03/13/diy-shell-topped-bottles/
