  1. I think so, but so was the last one I ordered hehe. Since it's on online deal it works in Canada. I don't have them yet so can't be SURE, but it doesn't look like I will have to pay duty. My tracking # with UPS says it originated in Ontario. Shipping to Edmonton for 10 deluxe totes was $11.
  2. VISTAPRINT GROUPON: Must buy in next 12 hours: http://www.groupon.com/deals/vistaprint-augusta-2
  3. Oh I should add vistaprint.ca to the list (not sure if its up there), but I've ordered a tonne from there! Also 4imprint.ca They have a good selection and good prices, but you need to order about 100 of anything, so will only work if you've got a huge group going. I've ordered tip holders and lanyards from the seller gcishoponline and expect them in the next few weeks. Will update when they arrive. $40 for 100 holders and 100 lanyards. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/250859249590?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_3093wt_990 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/130490246204?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_2693wt_990
  4. Update on California SeaShell Company.... it was quick and everything is very nice, but duty came to $40 on $70 worth of shells... Not worth it!!!! Factory 21 was VERY easy to work with and the mugs are great! Duty was $47 on the 100 mug lot (and the seller had given me an estimate of $60-80, I was prepared for it and had factored it into the cost of the mugs). Very happy with them!
  5. Not sure if you were talking about mine, but I just made mine on powerpoint. Here is my template: To upload it into Vistaprint, I just hit "Save As" in powerpoint, and then saved it as a .pdf from the drop down list. Oh I see that I had changed one of the stars to a wedding cake.... donno where that template went, but I think I just pulled the image from google... I didn't draw any of them. You can just delete the starfish and then copy and paste the wedding cake, or whatever other design you'd like. on beach.pptx
  6. My deluxe vistaprint bags come in on Tuesday, I'll let you know about the size then. I like vistaprint because they can ship from Canada so no duties for us living north of the border :-) I hope they're a good size
  7. I'm not getting married there, but for general information I went to Cuba 2 times last year. Once was to the Barcelo Solymar... TERRIBLE.. Once was to the Iberostar Veradero and it was for a destination wedding. It was amazing!!! Great service, great food, wonderful grounds, beautiful wedding, I would go back in a heartbeat!
  8. My Factory21 mugs came in. To re-post from Canadian OOT bag forum, duty to Edmonton was $47, so after that, plus shipping, plus cost, they came to $264 for 100 mugs. $2.64 each. I love them! Absolutely exactly what I was hoping for. Here's a pic:
  9. Hmm non-AI gifts... We got our wedding party towels which we are going to embroider with their names on... kind of expensive for a gift for everyone but I know that I'd love that as a gift. I also think the first aid kits are super cute but can't afford them for my group. We are just putting in tylenols and emergen-Cs and some wetnaps and a condom, not a full kit. Beach bags? Beer Koozies? ZigZags? (haha just kidding, but I see you're going to Jamaica)
  10. My Factory 21 mugs arrived today! They are really great! After duties and delivery to Edmonton, they came to $264 for 100 mugs ($2.64 each). They are exactly what I was looking for, but I was looking for something light, that would keep drinks cool, that the guests could use at the resort. I wasn't really looking for something that they would use for coffee afterwards, and the hippy in me says that putting hot drinks in plastic is wrong haha, so the guests likely won't use them for anything besides destination vacations. But for a bride on a budget with 100 guests, these are perfect! More than perfect!
  11. Yea they were in the stationary area. The same aisle as business cards and the laminating equipment. Also had tacks for bulletin boards, scissors... Good luck!
  12. Donno what your mom's budget is, but I just went to Cerulean boutique in St. Albert with my mom and they had some very VERY nice stuff. But also Very expensive. $200-500 range. They get everything right from New York and it's all really lovely. They carry resort-wear all year long too. My mom has an amazing dress collection, I'll pick her brain tonight about where she gets them in Edmonton.
  13. papoue-- I reserved the wedding date over email LONG before we booked our trip. We wanted to wait until flight schedules and prices came in before booking the trip and also wanted to have a rough estimate of people who were coming first, but in order to send out invitations we had to chose a wedding date. We picked January 20th, so knew that our trip would have to be within the surrounding 7 days, so that gave guests a rough estimate of when we were going so they could decide if its a time of year that worked for them. There is no fee or anything if you need to cancel or change your wedding date, but I think its a good idea to get one booked in. It's not likely a hurry for November 2013, but there's nothing to lose really. Laura-- in my opinion, if I were doing the bonfire as a welcome event on the Friday then I would not have music. I don't really want to encourage everyone to party too hard the night before the wedding. I dont know how many guests you have, but if its a smaller number then you could even just bring your own portable speaker to have something in the background. You could also ask the resort if they rent out music equipment without having to hire a DJ. If I was doing it on the wedding night (Saturday), then I would definitely have music as I want it to be a celebration. I believe I've heard that the fire dancer does have his own music, but that he only performs for about 20 minutes, so I wouldn't rely on him for music for the whole bonfire. Goodluck!
  14. Yea I get the dilemma. I donno what your plan for the night is, but could you say no for them coming to the ceremony and dinner, but allow them to join you all for the dance (if you're doing one)? I like jello's wording!
  15. I love the Olympics idea too! Definitely a fun way for the guests to interact.
  16. wowsa karyc!!! thats a million dollar dress! Really lovely!
  17. My factory21 Mugs arrive on Monday!! Whohoo I can't wait! FYI, Duty on the 100 mug lot to Edmonton was $47.
  18. On a happier note, I found these at dollarama today: CHEAP self adhesive badge covers for DIY luggage tags. 8 for $1. I put these together sloppily, but am confident they would look very good if you took care in doing them.
  19. I'm january 2013 and we only just finalized the bookings 2 weeks ago. I got started very early, and I think it was too early... the flight schedules all changed, and I jumped on a price that was VERY good for last year, but turned out to be not as good for this year. The guests are paying what they would if they booked individually. I think we had more pressure to act early though since we have roughly 75 coming from Edmonton alone, and most tour companies don't sell that many seats. So we booked the initial 60 right away, but then had 15 people out of edmonton to deal with. MAN DOES IT FEEL GOOD TO BE DONE!!! I would definitely look into getting 2 group quotes! My best advice: don't bother with WestJet Groups. They are completely inflexible and slow and unresponsive. They are fine for individual bookings and great for flights, but the WestJet Vacations Groups is its own company... very poor!!
  20. It says 2 weeks, but sometimes their processing takes a little longer (max 1 week). You can pay more for faster shipping if needed.
