We are using a wedding planner in Canada that specialises in Destination Weddings in Jamaica. Initially when I told her I wanted Firefly she said that they no longer do weddings; however, after more research and pushing we were able to book directly with Firefly. We are booked for Feb 15, 2013. Did you do your reception there as well? I can't wait to hear all about it!!

Welcome Kristin. We are working with Ophellia from Bridal Affair Destinations. She is originally from Jamaica and specialises in Jamaican Destination Weddings. She has been great to work with. I believe her base is in GTA, but we have communicated with her via telephone and email since we live in Winnipeg. She offers her services as just a travel agent and as a full wedding planner, including travel arrangement. I definately recommend her. She was able to give us a lot of useful information (including a sample budget of what our wedding would cost) before we even committed to using her services. We have finally finished the bridal shower invites. I am really happy how they turned out! We are having the shower so early because my FI family is moving out of the country. Anyone else have any updates on wedding planning?

Thanks Ladies! I was actually secind guessing my dress choice lately as I recently brought it home from the store. I think it will be great once I find some shoes. Currently looking at these ones as options. I would like to get them in purple (if I can): I got the dress from a shop in Winnipeg. The dress is "Impression" brand. I am not sure what the shipping is like from this website, but they sell all kinds of travel size items. I plan on ordering closer to our wedding. Welcome Ladies! Lauren, you will have yo let me know what you think of Riu Ocho Rios. We will be staying there for our wedding trip next year.

We chose Riu Ocho Rios for ourseves because it was the most economical choice. We have hired a wedding planner who specialised in Jamaican destination weddings. When we were choosing our resort it was between Riu Ocho Rois and Sunset Jamaica Grande. Riu Ocho Rios is a new hotel and our planner said it is the best choice for our needs. Sunset Jamaica Grande is an older hotel; however they are under going a renovation. I was told that Sunset Jamaica Grande is one of the only Jamaican run hotels as well, so your really get the Jamaican experience. With that said, we did have guests book at a different resort (Rooms Ocho Rios) becausr apparantly the price for excursions is better. Hope this helps!

Hello Everyone. I made similar luggage tag bridal shower invites. I attached the template for it. They are slightly larger then the ones here, but I think they look nice.
