How to make survival kit toppers?

I used these and they worked GREAT. I bought ours from walmart and they were abotu $10 for 20 packages. I LOVE how they turned out -
Peach makes a good point about if people already have a carryon (which they likely will). I guess the way around that would be if you gave them the heads up before hand or meet before the departure and give them to guests at a little get together or something. We are bringing everything down as most of our guests are flying from other gateways. In the end, it is whatever works best for you.

We are having our wedding at Firefly. I don't have the contact person, but they take FOREVER to respond. It is owned by the Jamaica Heritage Trust, so you can try contacting them. I will look and see if I have a contact info for someone at Firefly. I do know that tropicalweddingsjamaica.com offers weddings there as well. Good luck!

I just bought them at Walmart they were like 8 or 9$ for a package that makes 24. I made the template using ideas and some templates for the forum. The ones we got were similar to this http://www.avery.ca/avery/en_ca/Products/Labels/Branding-%26-Merchandising/Peg-Bags-with-Printable-Toppers-Laser-InkJet_22801.htm?N=4294963244&Ns=Rank|0||Product Number|1&refchannel=fda05e579be20310VgnVCM100000a1210c0aRCRD If you are looking at Walmart the package I bought had an example of using the package to make loot bags for a kid's birthday party. The one above is $20, but it seems to make more than the package we got. I hope that helps! Maybe check different Walmarts? I know sometimes they carry different things.

We bought an package which the Avery brand makes. It already has these pretty thick bags which stick close and the label type topers which stick together and are a little thicker than regular labels. We are very happy with the results!

oooooh! I didn't even realise yours was so close too or that you are having an off resort wedding! How is that coming? Did you book it all yourself or through someone? Our wedding will be at Firefly and we have a planner who is taking care of things. I am a plan ahead kind of person, so there are some details which I think should be set already which aren't, but sometimes you just have to put you trust in people right!? What do you have left to do? That is crazy that you have 2 suitcases full. I am hoping we will just be able to fit the stuff in our suitecases and carry ons! Fingers crossed!!! dazedawl- I asked our wedding planner about this as I was concerned as well and she said they will not likely check your bags. She pretty much said they are very laid back and the chances are low. So we are taking our chances and have our survival kits assesmbled. They are in clear bags though so you can pretty well see everything anyways.

It is going very well! Seems everything is in place just leaving it up to the wedding planner at this point. Still trying to figure out how I am going to fit everything for our OOT bags into our luggage and we don't even have a lot. lol

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome! Have you decided where in Jamaica you want to go? There is tons of info on this forum on lots of different resorts. For us it ultimately came down to price. We are staying at Riu Ocho Rios, but gettin married off resort. Looking forward to seeing the progress and projects you ladies will have for your weddings.

Did you buy the pre-made ones. I just can't imagine paying the prizes to have someone make them and I have made something I like. We have spent a lot of money on shipping items and at this point, I do not want to spend any more money (especially not on shipping). While I was looked on the internet the other day about this topic I found some info on another forum that suggested using clip on earing clips. I think I will do that as I can't find these anywhere locally. Thank goodness for Michaels coupons! I know this is completey off topic, but I wouldn't want anyone to have the experience I have had with picaboo. So I got boudoir pics done as a surprise for by fiance (to give him before the wedding). Anyways, the pictures turned out good and I had a groupon for picaboo (BAD CHOICE). I ordered the book and on the very first page there are ugly marks that look like water marks. I should note that the book I ordered is regular $60 (thank goodness I didn't pay that). So I contacted picaboo and they sent me a new one, same problem. Contacted them again, figured out it was an issue with the background, so fixed that and they sent it again. So just last week I got the 3rd book in the mail and the first page is now good, but there are ink drops throughout the ENTIRE BOOK! I was so angry and contacted them immediately. I demanded they have someone quality control the book before they mail me another one as I now have 3 books I can't do anything with. They agreed to do this, but in my opinion this is completely ridiculous. If they had quality control on the books in the first place, then we wouldn't have this problem. This was the first time I used picaboo and definately will be the last. Another thing is that each time I talked to customer service they had to view the project again, so who knows how many ppl have seen these pictures by now!. So frustrating. So just wanted to say save yourself the hassle! On a positive note though, I really like the layflat pages. If anyone has suggestions of a photobook site that offers this and have positive feedback I would love the suggestions. I really want to have a photobook with layflat pages for our wedding album.

My opinion is that the OOT bags is whatever you are able to spend. I would not worry too much about the costs as I don't think a lot of guests expect them (I know mine certainly don't). I have also talked to some others (not in the forum) who have been to multiple destination weddings and they never got anything (not even a favor). In the end I think it depends on what you would like to give your guests and how much you are able to spend. We probably spent about $25 a bag (estimate) and are doing 1 per couple or single person. But we are making sure there is double in each bag for couples (if that makes sense, so like 2 cups, 2 key holder/tip things etc) That is so exciting that you are leaving so soon!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! I am sure they will figure something out for your dress. You are the bride after all and have most of the plane filled with your guests! I think you should at least get some place to put your dress where it won't get squished or damaged!

Welcome and congrats on your engagement! You will find this site so helpful!

Funny enough, our wedding time has not been finalised, but it will likely be between 5 and 6pm. Our wedding planner also suggested this time as the sun sets at 6 and it won't be unbearably hot. We are doing an outdoor reception afterwards with a clear tent. Can't wait!

Loreal30 We just bought Fabric Ink Stamp Pads and followed the intructions to personalize our bags. As you can see above, we used words and the palm tree stamp from Michaels. Worked out great! In regards to the alarm clocks, I was just looking at Riu Ocho Rios features and it says they have alarm clocks in the rooms. Not sure if you are just wanting to be extra sure. Happy Holidays everyone!

Hey ladies, I am wondering if anyone knows where to buy blank shoe clip hardware in Canada. I plan on making my own shoe clips, but I am having a difficult time finding these in Canada or somewhere that will ship to Canada. Any help is appreciated.
