Pamela Good Im glad to hear that , it will be just fine , as for an extension cord when you meet with the wedding planner ...They will tell you 100.00 for hook up but they will not charge you , they will hook it up. We had 2 songs lists one for the ceremony, one for the reception so there was no confession We had our daughter reception on Himitus Beach and we set up the mic, amp in between the bar and the Asian restaurant .....It worked great ....Tell the wedding planner that you are requesting a congo line and the bartenders (2) will come out , set up some chairs , stand on them ,pick a song as a que and they will our shooters down the throats of your guest , sure gets the party going . Also I might add if you are as picky as I was lol I wrote out a 4 page step by step of how I wanted every item set up for the reception . There was not one thing out of place as long as you are direct and use simple language . It is truly the best , most beautiful place on earth to say your I DO'S to the love of your live .   2. Pamela that was me and the sound system worked out great . We were told that it would cost us 100.00 for the plug in to their electrical with their cord , they didnt charge us . No question in our minds that was the right chose , why on earth would you pay there amount when you already have it , makes no sense , save your money and put it to better use . Tammy
  3. Pamela We had them for our daughters wedding on the beach with the lighted dance floor, lights from the bar and tiki torches , it made the beach , tables and setting absolutely beautiful in the dark of the night . Was worth the money no question
  4. Our daughter was married last Nov , her wedding was at 3:30 we purchased the Ultimate Pkg and we to did not have the cocktail hour but received 10 extra dinners. We originally asked for the dinner to start at 5 and then we changed our minds last mint to 6 and was not a problem but it was on a Wed so mid week not a weekend as they might just be totally booked . I hope this helps

My daughter was married at Dreams in Nov and we did trade a few things in our pkg but have a look that the professional video that the resort provides brides to be this is the video of our daughter Kelly West from Dreams , save your money they are amazing, also included is 50 pictures and the entire wedding on a CD .......

  9. No need to cheek if you can have Chinese Lanterns , the answer is SIMPLY NO THEY SUNK MY HEART ON THIS ISSUE AS WELL .
  10. The honey moon suite is twice the size in the tower and from there you get to watch your dreams at work as they set up your wedding at the gazebo
  11. Same here last Nov for daughters wedding , we brought 6 suit cases in all and no cost to place all the items .... We made a 4 page letter in bold letters to tell them how and where we wanted everything to go for the ceramony and reception at Hutmisu Beach . It was just how it was stated in the letter , every piece of bling just where it was suppose to be .... They are great at what they do down there so do not stress out ..... PS Other brides have left 12 inch tall vases there and if you are needing them ask in that way ( want to borrow vases that other brides have left ) and they will let you use them at no cost .

  13. Im so sorry but they are sold , the bride was getting married on May 23 of this year so maybe she will repost everything that she bought from me in the near future. Good luck in your quest
  14. The amp was a Bose I think , it was almost small enough for a carry on. Cost me 25.00 each way to check it in saved us over 1000.00
  15. We brought down an Ipod and all in one amp, mic and speakers , saved us 700.00 bucks and worked like a charm . Cost for added baggage on this was 20.00 each way huge savings.
  16. Dreams I do not think will let you have fire works as we asked for the chinese lanterns and we were told no . However I have seen the DJ use them not sure if it was at Dreams or not

  18. I know nothing about the DJ but from what we researched it was alot hire than that . We were told 198.00 for equipment and DJ for the Ceremony and then 699.00 for the DJ and his equipment for the reception..... So not to sure what went wrong there Again we did have the ultimate pkg. It is very windy by the Gazebo so if you want anyone to hear anything that is being said you do need it. I have heard of a lot of brides bring there I Pod and docking station and have a friend set up the music. We were told because we brought our own equipment that it would be 100.00 for the use of electricity but we didnt get charged at the end . They will let you change out some things for a good swap but not others. For example we did not really want the 3 piece mexican band as it was approx. 600.00 , so we asked to swap for extra pictures and they where going to give us approx 150.00 in trade which didnt sit while with me so we had the band while we made our own reception after the wedding and had them come up to the deck at the tower right close to the gazebo and it was very nice with the bar 10 steps away and place to sit and chat while the bride and groom went for photos. I had asked if we could do this with our wedding planner Claudia and she said no as it is a common area, she left to get the reception on the beach started and we just took over that space and told the tro band to come up onto the deck and they did , no problem.
  19. Carry on , some airlines are really great and will let you hang them up with all the airline employees things, west jet was great , I have heard that some airlines dont really do much for you , but just take the whole over head on the air craft and you will be fine.
  20. Nursepierson 1. We did not have a cocktail hour in Nov for my daughters wedding , we had purchased the ultimate pkg and we swapped the cocktail for 10 extra people for dinner. You guests can get a cocktail any where for free as well a some to eat to tie them over , why pay if not needed? 2.I think both the hair and make up was around 150.00 for the bride 3. We brought our own sound system with us it was an amp and speakers together , cost at the resort was rediculuos , so we saved approx 700.00 for that but we did have the lighted dance floor on the beach which just made the setting amazing cost was 699.00 for 3 hours./ 4. Adventure the photogragher at the resort they are amazing , with the package that we bought you got 50 pics of your choice , link to slide show and video of the entire ceramony .... No need to spend 1000.00 of extra dollars , keep the money for yourself ... Hope this helps you , Good luck
