Hi Nicole! I had the same dilemma! My ceremony is on sky deck at 6pm, cocktail hour on South bar terrace at 7pm then Dinner at 8pm on the North Bar Terrace. I also considered moving the cocktail hour, these were the reasons we decided not to: -$6 per person -$$ for lightening -$$ for Music on the Beach (PSAV or JSAV would have to move all their equipment and speakers etc) -The wind can be really strong, and the Bar Terraces are protected from the wind by the glass walls -Easier to keep all guests in one general area so the emcee can annouce for everyone to take their seats -Guests can keep their shoes on all night and now have sandy feet It was a hard decision bc i liked the idea of being closer to the ocean for part of the night. I am sure what ever you decide will be perfect! When is your wedding? -

Hi Ladies, Is anyone doing a signature cocktail/drink? I have requested this but still waiting on an answer. If so was the resort easy to work with to come up with one?

Hello my May Brides, I am in need of a creative name for a signature cocktail. (Vodka Lemonade) My hubby to be veto'd using our names in it, so i was thinking something beachy or with sunset etc. Any suggestions?

Honestly try not to obsess over the weather forecasts! It very well could rain everyday but for 20min at 7am for example. It usually only rains for a short period of time so I find the forecasts to look deceiving

Hi Ladies, My wedding planner is Margarita, but she is on medical leave right now. I have been emailing Marisol as she/he? was on Margaritas out of office, but i havent recieved a response. Does anyone have any other contact information for the wedding department? Any of the other planners like Rocio? I leave in 2 weeks tomorrow and am getting stressed.

Ahhh could this be the case? I did not have to pay a deposit but i am having a symbolic ceremony. Legal ceremony is on Saturday. AHH! I am not getting a vaccine. I travel to Mexico at least once a year and have never been sick (knock on wood)

Hi! Congratulations on your engagement! I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding at The Royal in Playa Del Carmen this past January! It was amazing! And we would go back in a second! She was a very low key bride and had a very basic wedding, it was beautiful and memorable! Enjoy your planning! -K

Hey! I am having a complimentry package and did not have to pay the deposit BUT my wedding is on a Wednesday so this such Saturday rule could apply. Agreed, I hate how its different for everyone. Makes me worry I am getting ripped off.

Hey! I checked my original contract (which looks nothing like yours) and my final invoice that I have already paid. And there is no mention of this. Must be a new rule? Sounds like you only have to pay for the bride and groom who get the complimentary nights. So $20 a night doesnt sound too bad.

Hi! I am doing one long table for my 30 guests and the bride and groom. My inspiration pics are below. I have rented the clear ghost chairs, pewter table cloth and napkins, glass plate chargers and the centerpieces will be a square 4x4 inch vase with flowers and 2 votives (fake candles- it will be outside and windy) each. I have 8 centerpieces in total so 2 per long table (4 tables total) The tables they have are only 30inch wide so it will be slender, most similar to the middle picture below. So i needed to have thin centerpieces. If you will be having a wider table you may need something with a larger presence to balance out the table. Hope this helps!
