May Brides- I have to share my latest find!! Free download called "Appy Couple" Its a customizable wedding app for your ipone, opad, android etc! You can upload photos, all your travel information, your wedding story etc. Everything that you would put on your wedding website or your pre travel brochure. Now all your guests can have all this information at their fingertips when they download this app. Ive spent most of my night working on my app! Amazing!!! Enjoy

Nicole, When is your wedding? I was originally in contact with Janessa from the Miami office but since it moved I havent heard a thing. I will be in Playa del Carmen for a wedding next week so i am doing a site tour of Beach Palace on the 10th.. hoping to get most of my questions answered at this time. I booked the site tour with Rocio over email- who is your coordinator?

Jenni, I havent recieved any info yet. (I hit 75 room nights! yahoooo) I also am having my ceremony at 6pm reception at 7:30. So the plan was 20-30in ceremony then cocktail hour and then the reception from 7:30-10:30. I was told from my original contact from the Miami office that it is $60/per table per hour for the additonal time. But a recent bride told me that she didnt book the extra hour and no one said anything and they continued until 10:30. So im not really too sure about this. For Make Up and Hair I am using Norma from MAC, she bring a hair dresser with her. She charges $250 for bride hair and makeup and $130 for bridesmaids. (but you have to pay for the day passes for both of them $91 each i think) For flowers I purchased real touch flowers from Bloom Bridal- should recieve them in Feb!

I am getting married at the Beach Palace in Cancun! 360 degree view of the lagoon and ocean on their sky terrace. Great location, food and reviews! Also 1500 resorts credit for all the guests. My guests paid $1705 for round trip direct flight from Calgary to Cancun, transfers and 7 nights. Hope this helps! Congrats! And have fun with your planning! -K

Just finished reading the rest of this thread- my response is obviously out of date now lol. Thats what i get for responding so late! Were you able to make it home to go dress shopping with your mom? I wanted to tell you I could relate to your service at the Bridal Center- I keep asking for no poof dresses and she kept telling me they didnt have any.. like really? In this entire store- I was extremely frustrated with them! I am currently working on a pre travel package to send out to my guest about a month before we leave.. and i am looking for the pocket size "spanish phrases for dummies" book.. if any of you Calgary brides spot them can you let me know? The Brides from the states get them from Staples or Target for $1, no luck here so far.

Lauren, So sorry- just saw this! I am using Jolene Bulmer she works out of her home from Vision 2000 i can give you her contact info if you are interested. We chose Beach Palace solely because of the sky terrace they have for the wedding ceremony. It has a 360 degree view and is just breath taking!! But the Beach Palace also had good reviews for food and service and i liked that the resort looked more modern and less Mexican if you know what i mean.. The resort is also in the center of Cancun (good for the guests to do what they want) Yes i bought my dress from Ethos on 17th ave. They were really great there. I had a few appointments at other bridal salons and was disappointed, I was horrified by the service and selection at the Bridal Center! They rushed me and wouldn't allow us to take pictures! To pop by I think most will accept you (expect Bridal center) depending how busy they are.. I suggest calling just before. I am going with Real Touch flowers as well. Check out Bloom Bridal out of Toronto- that's where I ordered mine from. They should be here in Feb! Cant wait. Congrats on being 4 months out!!! Im a few weeks behind you! I cant really answer your questions about the flowers i decided to go with Bloom Bridal real touch flowers and will be brining them down with me I will most likely do a corsage for the mothers and a bout for the dads

Hey Guys, I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada- My guests paid $3410 CAD for two people for direct flights and 7 days/ nights at Beach Palace in the regular room. I know the rates have gone up but if you keep your eye out they may be able to find good deals!

My RSVP was in August and my wedding is in May.. Thats 10 months out! In order to recieve the rate my TA acquired I needed people to put a deposit down by August 7th. And it seemed to work 30 guests coming!

I am getting married at Beach Palace in May- my guest count is 30 (with enough room night you will receive unlimited free functions (reception, cocktail hour etc) My budget was also $10k but looks to be coming in around $13 with out the flights. But I did spurge of my dress and the flowers, this budget includes everything from the bridesmaid dresses and gifts etc. It is definitely doable! Just do your research! Good Luck!
