@Soon2bMrsT: Congratulations! Beautiful pictures! I see you had the Colin Cowie complimentary package, did you like it? Did they charge you extra to use different color flowers in your bouquet? I'm getting married at the Beach Palace and will have the same package. I was thinking of using Zuniga to do drapery and add flowers, do you think it will be worth the money or should I just out the money into extending or welcome cocktails.

Thanks for mentioning cherry blossom. I was wondering if there were other options out there. I am getting married at the Beach Palace so the same rules and fees apply for all palace resorts.

Has anyone else ordered a dress from lightinthebox.com? I think I have only seen one other post on them. They have a dress that I want but not sure since I havent read much on them.

After looking at all 442 pages I am totally willing to try it out. I'm having a tough time deciding on the style of dress though.

Right now we are planning on using the dinner that comes with the package and have a welcome cocktail hour and a cocktail hour after the ceremony. We will have a reception if we have more than 30 people RSVP. We think having a Welcome, a cocktail hour and maybe a brunch for the ladies was a better use of our money since we are just having a renewal. I am also wanting mostly white with a few blue accents. Haven't decided if I want to use royal blue or more of a turquoise blue. I have also read that you don't really have to go hardcore on decor because the resort is so beautiful.

All the previous convo is about the old packages because the new ones havent started yet. I booked and just went with the complimentary package for two reasons. First being that I would have picked the exotic peacock package but hoping that a bride getting hitched before me will post some "real life" photos. Second being hubby wasn't sold on paying a $1500 deposit because he like the old packages better. So my plan is to use the comp package and build what we want with chair linens and flowers. We are hoping for 30-40 guests but aren't sure who will come right now. My coordinator in Janessa in the maimi office. So far she has been pretty reponsive to my emails but haven't had my phone planning session yet. It's still really early for me.

Has anyone used their resort credit to take the excursions? I'm wondering how were the trips. We have been to cancun before and would like to do more excursions this time around.

Has anyone used him for flowers for the ceremony structure with complimentary package? My husband had the idea of going with the "free" package and just ordering flowers for the ceromy as decor. Any idea on how much that will cost? I don't even think the resort offers that as an option from them.

Past Brides: Are there any brides that received the complimentary nights based on the number of room reserved? If so, how were they credited? Is it a refund at checkout or free days for another vacation to palace resorts? I'm very curious.

The packages include a dinner for 30 in one of the restaurants. That means you can pick one of the restaurants to have dinner at and sit together in the restaurant. You can not have more that 30 people for the dinner. No decor or anything else is includeed. If you want to have a private reception, in in the restaurants, the cost is $50 per person with standard white linen decor. If you want the Colin Cowie decor it is $300 additional per table.

I understand and it's nerve racking too. We invited our friends and family we knew could "afford to go". But with that said, my parents are coming and my husbands best friend and wife so we are content if they end up being the only ones that come. I don't think that my best friends will even come.

Wondering if There are any other brides getting married at the Beach Palace in August of 2013. My date is aug. 16th and I figured it would be kind of cool to meet another bride.
