I say "vendors" because I'm assuming they are a unique group of people likely to have eaten at a variety of real weddings in Tulum, but I would appreciate input from anyone who has eaten at a wedding in Tulum. My goal here is to figure out what places are likely to have the best food on the actual day of the wedding. Of course we will do site visits and have a tasting at some point. The problem is that anyone can make great food for a two-person tasting, but it is very hard to make great food for a 75- or 100-person event. Thus... forum members, I turn to you for real-life experiences at bigger events in Tulum. Some background, in case it helps: my fiance and I are food lovers who live in New York (in the West Village). Some of our favorite restaurants in New York are Fedora, Joseph Leonard, Vinegar Hill House, Eleven Madison Park, I Sodi, Fatty 'Cue, and all the Momofukus (if that helps pin us down at all -- sorry I know those are all pretty different). RIght now Cabanas Tulum is at the top of my list because of a variety of factors, but I'm not sure if the food there is good. A friend was recently in Tulum and said Hartwood was amazing, but it doesn't sound like the type of place where you could host a wedding (please correct me if I am wrong). Thanks in advance for your advice! Kate
