Hi everyone, I am new to the site but will be a 2013 bride! Yay!!! Planning has been so overwhelming and I have no idea what I'm doing. My fiance and I decided on a destination wedding after prices to have it near our home were through the roof! Anyway, we are looking for something cost effective, yet beautiful. We were in limbo between Jamaica and Punta Cana but I have chosen Jamaica. Now its just a matter of date (looking at some time in April) and location. What are the best months, cost wise, to have a destination wedding and travel? We have been checking Iberostar Grand, and Rose Hall Suites, Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton, and Secrets Wild Orchid. But I see from a few on this site, that Gran Bahia is worth considering. I hope that someone can help me make some head way with this wedding planning. Also, I wanted to find out about wedding packages that are offered. The only ones that I know for sure are the ones from Grand Palladium and Secrets. All suggestions and comments welcomed! I have no idea what I'm doing or where to start. I too have been having trouble finding a good TA and someone who I can actually get in touch with and that will stay in contact with me on a consistent basis. I think we have settled on Jamaica (though we were looking at Punta Cana), as our destination but we do not know the exact location as of yet. We've been checking out all Iberostars and Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton as our top choices. It depends on pricing and what is offered. We want to be cost effective yet have a beautiful day. We also are wanting some time early in April. Is that the best idea as far as pricing wise for our guests and ourselves? All suggestions and comments are welcomed! Happy Planning!!!

Hi everyone, I just signed up today! After reading so many posts and having no idea what I am doing, I was convinced that I needed to join. My fiance and I have been looking into having a destination wedding for a few months now. We started with St. Lucia, Aruba, Punta Cana and Jamaica. We have decided with Jamaica since I have family there and its where a lot of people have been. However, I have quite a few options and don't know what to choose or how to plan a wedding, let alone a destination wedding. Someone please help!
