  1. Thank you so much for the encouragement. I don't think we're doing anything too different, so hopefully it goes off without a hitch! This site has done wonders to ease my panic. Thank you again!
  2. We have 42 people coming. You? We're having a tough time getting everything organized via e-mail. Maria seems sweet, but her grasp of written English is poor. I'm trying to stay positive, but I keep having this overwhelming feeling the day isn't going to be at all what I envisioned it to be...
  3. May wedding Day is May 8th and we're coming out from Fort McMurray! Perhaps we'll see you there
  4. Hello Ladies, First I’d like to thank all of you wonderful brides and brides-to-be who have contributed to this forum. I have found it tremendously helpful and reassuring. My questions pertain to the reception dinner. I would very much appreciate any reviews people could provide on the a la carte´ restaurants at the Gran Bahia Principe Coba/akumal/tulum. We’re looking for a restaurant that has delicious food, vegetarian options and a nice ambiance for the occasion. Furthermore, has anyone actually utilized an off-site florist (ie- Maya Diseno Floral) and did you encounter any hiccups/hidden costs etc.? May 8th is the big day! We’re getting so very excited! Cheers!
  5. Hi Ladies! First off, I'd like to thank all of you wonderful brides and brides-to-be for contributing to this forum. I have found it EXTREMELY helpful and reassuring. My questions pertain to dinner options for the reception. I see from reviewing previous posts that many people have chose to hold their reception dinner at one of the a la carte´ on-site restaurants. My Fiance´ and I would like ensure the food is delicious and has vegetarian options. I would really appreciate a review of any of the restaurants. We LOVE traditional Mexican food and wonder if this is an option somewhere? How many a la carte´ restaurants are there? Furthermore, has anyone used an off-site florist (ie- Maya Diseno Floral)? Any hiccups or hidden costs? Happy with the final product? MAY 8TH, 2012 is the big day!! Getting very excited! Cheers

  7. Hi Ladies, Wow! First off I'd like to thank all of you wonderful brides and brides-to-be for taking the time to contribute to this forum. I have found it EXTREMELY helpful and reassuring! My wedding will be taking place May 8th, 2012 at the Coba resort, on the beach. 80 days remaining woohoo! My questions pertain to the reception dinner. I see through reading previous posts that most people have been pleased with the food/service provided through the a la carte´ restaurants. My Fiance´and I are both vegetarians (though I eat seafood), as are a number of our guests (who do not eat seafood). We are hoping to have traditional Mexican food for the reception dinner. Can anyone recommend an on-site restaurant that might accomodate this? I would appreciate reviews on any of the restaurants on the resort. Can people staying at the Coba resort attend restaurants at the Akumal and Tulum sections of the resort? We're not set on having Mexican cuisine (just thought it would be festive and suiting given the destination), but really what it boils down to is we want the food to be delicious and for there to be vegetarian options. Also, has anyone gone ahead and used an off-site florist (ie- Maya Diseno Floral or other)? I'd very much appreciate some more details on how this was received by the resort (Any hiccups? Additional costs?) and what you thought of the final product. MANY thanks!
