  1. You can pin all the things you like.. Pictures, craft projects.. Anything you could possibly imagine. It's like saving images to your computer, but you can save to your boards you create (like folders) and you can access your pinterest account from any computer rather than having to keep everything on a flashdrive. PM me your email and I will send you an invite. )
  2. Ahh.. Good idea! I was wondering if they would cause a hassle with a situation like that. I will gladly gain a new cousin for the week/weekend.. lol.. WPGBride... Thanks, I'm following you now. ) My name is Britney.
  3. Thanks for letting us know!. I think I want bigger bags since I've got to try to fit a lot of stuff in my OOT bags. But these would be great for my FI's little sisters to have a bag of their own! Thanks, I'll have to go to my local Target this week. )
  4. Thanks for the info stefkva! I'll def add EmergenC to the list and check out Old Navy. I'm loving the reusable tote idea, I wish I could find someone whom has them in our colors or a company I can have them made through. That way if people never use them again, it wont hurt my feelings. Quote: Originally Posted by stefkva EmergenC is also good to include in hangover kits. 5. Thanks for the info Carly, I sent in a request form for a BDW TA Hopefully that will be a tremendous help. Thanks Yummii28!
  6. Unfortunetly, I do not know of any photographers that specialize in weddings.. But asking my family and friends if they know anyone is a great idea, I can't believe I didn't think of that. And I agree, I want to see as much wedding pics from that photog as I can see. I created a folder on my computer and anytime I find wedding pics I like, I save them. I figured this would be easy to hand over to the photog so he/she can get an idea of what we want out of our pictures. I noticed some resorts charge a crazy fee if you hire a local photog so I guess everything will really depend on what location/resort we choose.
  7. Hello Ladies!! This is my 2nd newbie thread.. But I am curious.. How did you ladies decide on what location and resort to have your destination wedding at? All suggestions are greatly appreciated. I've never been out of the country, so I don't know where to look or what I'm looking at. I signed up for desintationweddings.com and seem to find their information outdated and overpriced. So I just sent in a request for a BDW TA ) We've been looking for Family-friendly all inclusive resorts in Jamaica, Bahamas, Punta Cana, and Turks & Caicos for the Summer of 2013. I can't believe how many choices we have. This is much harder than I ever expected. I thought destination wedding were suppose to be easy. lol.
  8. love, love LOVE these!.. I was leaning towards traditional invitations but after seeing these passport invitations I think they fit hand in hand with the destination wedding! Also your ceremony site at the Cloisters, LOVE! We have fallen in Love with that site via pictures and trying to get more information.
  9. It seems like yalls budget is where I'm wanting to keep ours as well. so glad to know its doable I wish me could decide on where to go. My coordinator from DW.com is not been much help, at all. And I agree with you Gomez, I want amazing pictures, but am wondering if I should take a photog with me or find a local to the resort we choose. What are you planning on doing?
  10. These articles are making me consider Punta Cana. Thanks for the info!.. Now if only my destinationweddings.com coordinator would get up to par and actually help me.
  11. WOW... I just spent two days at work reading all 75 pages of this thread and taking notes.. Let me first say, Thank You All Very Much!!Everyones ideas, comments and pictures have been a huge help! My FI and I are planning our destination wedding for sometime between May and July of 2013. We haven't found a resort yet, but of course I am obsessing over these OOT bags.. I absolutely love doing all kinds of craft projects so I'm getting a huge head start on ideas. Plus I realize that our guests are spending time and money to see us get married, so I want to spend a lot of time and thought on our OOT bags to show our appreciation. I havent decided if I am going to do totes with Welcome to "destination" and then the year underneath or if I want to find pink paper gift bags with orange tissue paper or vise versa. (But the totes seem to have been a huge hit for everyone but if we go with paper I think we could pack more items easily into our suitcases and afford more goodies for each bag) Here's what I want to put in ours... First Aid/Survival Kit Headache relief (will purchase large box with individual packets) Pepto / Tums Packages of Dental picks ($1 at $1 Tree for a large pack for each bag, great deal) Bandaids and Neosporin Gum or Altoids (Will purchase from Costco or Sams) Aloe ($1 Tree) Kleenex ($1 Tree has 8 for $1 or 9 pocket size for $1) Chapstick (def some with spf) Debating on Sunscreen (they have some at $1 tree, but I dont know how good the quality is) Shout Sticks or Wipes Mini hand sanitizers (probably from BBWorks $1 each) Waterproof silicone watches (found on ebay for 1.99 + free s&h in my colors, pink for girls/orange for guys) Current Magazines or Suduku, Crosswords, etc from $1 Tree) Waterproof camera's or regular disposible ones (haven't price checked yet, but love this idea) Travel Mug ($1 Tree) with names or destination and date on them "my Cricut is going to be put to use )" Welcome Booklet,"Meet the Guest" Pictures of each person and there name. Love this idea, now to find a way to put it together. Waterproof bags for room cards and money. Was going to go to Coach's clearance section but the waterproof bags on Amazon seem better for the beach. (I read someone found some for 4.69 each+free s&h) Welcome letter for each bag. (Printed on beachy themed paper and then signed by FI and I, unless I choose to handwrite them) Thinking about doing kid bags for FI's little brothers and sisters and other kids joining us Cards (2 for $1 at $1 Tree) Sunglasses Swim Goggles Water Guns Floats (if allowed at the resort we choose) Thinking of doing a Hangover kit Alka Seltzer Scope or Listerine Strips Crackers Sorry, for the long post. Is there a thread somewhere where people are posting their pictures on how they arranged their items in the totes, etc? The only thing I have seen is ziplock baggies with a label printed on paper and folding and stapled across the top. Looks better than I'm probably making it sound. :-/
  12. Sorry ladies... I just now figured out how to find my original thread. Sad, I know... Thanks Pucca and Sharonte for the replies!! .. Looks like I have a lot of searching and reading to do. I'm soo glad to have found this site.
  13. OH MY!!... I absolutely love this!!.. Can someone please tell me where I can find them.
  14. Ahh.. So exciting!.. I've seen so many pictures and info on the Beaches Negril location, it gorgeous and seems to have everything you could possibly need. I stumbled upon the Atlantis website and saw a video.. which took our destination search in a whole different direction.. We have fallen in love with the Atlantis resort and the Cloisters for our ceremony at the One and Only.. Atlantis: all the reviews I've read seem to mention how expensive the food is since its not all-inclusive. And I really hate to put that berdon on our guests, or have the fear that not many will show. And the Cloisters fee is 3500 just to be married on that site, its Gorgeous, but it seems to be a bit much. Did you find other all-inclusive resorts that were comparable to the beaches resorts? My head is spinning with sooo many places to loook at.
  15. Hey Melissa, Congrats! I know you're excited.. That was my initial favorite resort.. We are still in the process of choosing a destination and it seems soo stressful. We too are planning a 2013 Wedding. ) How many people do you expect to attend your wedding? Are you doing one of the Beaches wedding packages?
  16. Hello Everyone at BDW! My Fiance and I were just engaged on New Years Eve. I am soo excited, so I am starting the wedding planning early.. We are looking at having a Destination Wedding next summer (2013). I signed up for DestinationWeddings.com but they haven't been near as helpful as I thought they would be. We are wanting to go somewhere like Jamaica, Bahamas, etc.. I've never been outside of the US, so I don't know what to expect nor what I am even looking at. So far, I Love the Beaches resorts in Turks and Caicos and Negril because of their all inclusive factor and their great amenities. But they seem a bit pricey and we hate to ask our guests to spend that much.(thoughts?) Now, we have both fallen in LOVE with Atlantis and then the Cloisters at O&O for the ceremony. After seeing Candace and TJ's video on the Atlantis site I have been in awe! (<--any info on these sites are greatly appreciated. ) I am soo thankful to have stumbled upon this website, any suggestions of any great family friendly, all inclusive resorts are greatly appreciated.
