First let me say... Congrats!! You are getting married on my birthday.. ) Thanks for the tips and advice.. I'll talk with my Fiance tonight and tell him we need to get our engagement pictures done! this way we can send out Save the Dates.. How does this Sound? Save the Dates: 12 Months (May 2012) Invites: 8 Months (September 29, 2012) RSVP Respond by Date: 4 Months (January 29, 2013) - this gives them 8 months from the date they officially know the location and date to save up and plan, etc. If they book their rooms I'm sure my TA will tell me. I agree!.. They want us to block the rooms and pay a deposit for each now.. (but we've been waiting bc the resort put the rooms on sale, and right now they are not for our date) And once those persons pay they will refund the deposits.. But what if they wait until 3 months before the wedding to pay or then decide to not come.. I don't know.. I'm going nuts over the whole not knowing thing.

I wanted to, but we haven't had our engagement pics done yet.. (I wanted to do picture Save the Date cards or big magnets.) I am creating our Passport Invitations so it will have all the information they need on those. and then I will do brochures for the resort in their OOT bags. The resort is saying they need our guest count now so they we can book the resort for group rates and block out a group of rooms. (but I don't want to block to many and not enough)... Seems like you have a great idea for STD's and Invites though! do you pretty much know who will be coming already?

Yea, Traditions are wayy off for us. With everything being soo far away for us (destination wise) seems like the TA, Resort and WC asks "how many people are coming?" Ummmm... I have no clue! We haven't sent our invites yet, our wedding is 14-15 months aaway. "well can you give us an estimate?" I hate this scenario, because I honestly do not have a clue who will or wont come.. I know parents and possible grandparents, but I dont know who else will make the effort. DW's are much harder than I expected.. :-/ Am I crazy for sending the invites out 10-12 months in advance? A few family members have been telling us to get them out ASAP so people can start planning and saving.. Which I thought was a good idea.. And then we could send a Wedding Reminder (probably magnet) to everyone including the non-RSVP responders maybe in January or closer to the date.

Thank You!! I'm soo excited about them now. I made a few changes and printed a new one.. I'll upload it when I get to work. I made it from scratch in Publisher.. ) I just looked at other peoples RSVP's online and created one to my liking.

Do you have a pic on here of your RSVP's? ) We're gonna have our reception dinner at Luciano's in the Bahamas. An italian place.. I hope no one complains.. I know it's far from traditional when it comes to weddings.. But no one here does DW's in my fam, so I figured why not make everything our own.

Good Afternoon Everyone, I am planning on sending my Invites and RSVP's out 10-12 months before the wedding (between May-July, 2012). What date should I put on the please respond by for the RSVPs?.... (We are planning on getting Married May 29th, 2013) I'd like to get an estimate of people coming well in advance of 3 months, so that we can make sure we have enough rooms blocked off at our resort, so we can plan menu's, etc at our reception dinner location since it will be located away from the resort, and so that I can have all of my OOT bags ready and packed up without having to rush out last minute and buy more items. I figured we have different date etiquettes with us having destination weddings, but all I can seem to find are traditional wedding etiquettes. Thanks in advance! )

Should I put Number Attending: ________ Adults:_________ Children (ages2-12): ________ I know we have guests with children 13+ I just want to make sure I get the total number attending. Or should I put: Adults: _______ Children (ages 2-12) _______ Total Attending: _______

Thanks Ladies!! ) I'll probably just fix the ones on the front then. Thanks for the advice!! Should I do the rounded corners or leave them pointy? Ever since I bought my corner rounders, I have been rounding the corners on everything in site.. lol.. Also, should I take away the "place stamp here" that I added? I will go ahead and place a stamp on each one so people will actually return them with a yes or no response. Or so I hope. All advice and improvements are greatly appreciated. )

The paper in the picture is just regular white cardstock. But the paper I will be using for my RSVP, Bridesmaid cards and Passport covers, I ordered from PaperandMore.com <--- Highly recommend them! I ordered 100 sheets of Pearl Cardstock, 100 sheets of Pink Azela Cardstock, and 50 envelopes for right under $80 with shipping included.

They def need some work.. But here is the RSVPs I created today. ) I plan on printing them on Metallic Pearl Cardstock. I was wanting to add a faded stamp in the backgorund of the hibiscus flowers (like on the labels for the playing cards) since it looks so plain on the white cardstock (but I haven't figured out how to yet). Maybe once I get it printed on the pearl paper they wont look so plain.

Welcome!!! And Congrats on the recent Engagement!! ) My Fiance is a lurker of this site, I think it's great for the grooms to get invloved!! Ya'll will find great information on this site!!... I don't know what I would do if my fiance would have never stumpled upon it. Oh I agree. $10 was well worth it because it makes a HUGE difference.. Looks soo much better than the pointy corners. ) I bought another one today.. lol. I'll probably round the corners on all my labels for the OOT goodies, invites, rsvp's.. I used to be a big scrapbooker so I will def get plenty of use out of them. The smallest things keep me entertained.. lol.

Aww.. I wish we could have an engagement party! I hate living in a different state than my fiance. ( I'm afraid if I don't get mine out soon Im gonna obsess over them and change things and colors and fonts a million times.. lol I've completed my RSVP's (well minus the printing) and I lack one page on my passport invites (Bio thing for Atlantis) I told my FI that page is all his. We'll see how this goes.
