I just spent my lunch hour making my "Will you be My Bridesmaid" cards for my girls.. I am really happy with how they turned out. I made these from Scratch with Publisher, I found the swirled image in my colors via google.. I used orange ribbon from Michaels and my paper was from Paper and More. (Metallic Pink Azela and Pearl White.) If anyone knows where I can find boxes for these, I would greatly appreciate the advice... )

Hello My Fellow Brides and Groom (I know we have a new one out here now).. . I just finished printing and cutting my lanyard inserts.. ) I used regular 8.5x11 printer paper and folded it in half. Some excess was cut off, and I had 3 inserts per page... I made them this way peoples' money, cards, etc would be hidden in between the two pieces of paper rather than being exposed.. My Lanyard inserts seem to be a bit bigger than the templates I found so I made these from scratch. First with PowerPoint and then converted to Publisher so I could adjust the sizes easier. I made up my own wording somewhat, because I have kids coming and many adults whom don't drink so I figured these would best suite everyone for our DW.

Weddings at Atlantis and/or the Cloisters at O&O
MissBubbles205 replied to MissBubbles205's topic in Bahamas Weddings
Thank you!! ) i'm soo excited about them. there is a post floating around Old Navy bags for $1.. or something to that extend. I posted pics on that forum of all the totes my Old Navy has. I was in Atlanta this past weekend (that's where my FI lives) they have a place called GardenRidge. They have a TON of bags.. They had several for 99cents.. Great size for OOT bags. OMG, I want to do the same thing!!.. I think I found a seller on Etsy that has the palm tree. I was looking at that one and my FI mentioned it may look funny with not that many people attending.. I'll have to look at them again.. I think I was looking at a fairly large one. And we wont need one very big. I too want to hang it in the house once the wedding is over and we are living together! ) Hmm.. I have no clue.. ( I read some hotels charge you for them to put them in the room.. Im not sure if they will let us, or how much they will charge to do this for us.. Or if we can have them give them to our guest upon their arrival at the front desk.. (Need to check on this) Oh wow, I did not realize that.. but air conditioned. (Your guests will love you!!) I noticed there was a bigger big price difference between Atlantis and Luciano's and with us paying the site fee for Cloisters, it seemed to make the most sense.. Especially since I have heard nothing but great things about Luciano's. Tivoli Gardens.. I've never heard of that one. I'll have to look it up. We haven't even thought of a rehearsal dinner.. ( I've got soo much to do.. These DIYs are taking up most of my time right now. Oh wow, Your Big Day is approaching very soon! -
Good Morning Bride-to-be's!!.. I am making my own "Will you be my Bridesmaid" cards.. and I was wondering what type of envelope to buy? I am making the cards that fold in half and are tied with ribbon.. I was thinking of regular 5x5 envelopes but I figured the ribbon would not fit or will get creased in all sorts of places is I shoved it in there.. Any advice on what to use is greatly appreciated!! I want to mail these since my bridesmaids are in different states.

I had never seen or heard of them until I read a post on here the other day! ) Henkaa has a website but they have store in Canada.. Their dresses are 128 but idk how much shipping would be.. I ordered some free color swatches yesterday. ) Thanks for sharing these! I'll check them out now. ) No worries.. I always seem to get excited about other things.. Its soo hard to focus on one thing at a time!!.. lol
-
hehe.. I know what you mean! ) Ahh... that light green Henkaa dress would be SUPER cute for your bridesmaids!!. My FI even loved them but it was way off from our pink and orange. ( Thanks for lettingme know, I'm gonna make a trip to Michael's tomorrow! Yes, I did make it bigger!!.. And centered everything a little bit more. ) And changed my dashed line. You know... I played with that part forever!!.. It was trying me crazy how out of wack it looked!!.. Sooo didn't think about putting the lines first.. I'll def fix that when I do another re-print!!.. THANKS!!! It's a really rough draft.. I've got to get them up to par with my RSVPs. Once I printed them they were sooo off centered.. I have a lot of work to do on those.. But hopefully within the next week or so I'll have a better one that I will show off. )

RSVP: Respond By Date?...
MissBubbles205 replied to MissBubbles205's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I always get ahead of myself and want to get things done right away.. I've already bought my OOT bags and tons of goodies to go in them. I just get wayy too excited for all of this.. Not to mention the big move after the wedding.. <-- I think I try to forget about this with the wedding planning, bc I hate to move away from my parents. ( But I've only told a few friends and my mom the date.. So I will def start telling everyone! ) Idk why I was trying to keep it some kind of secret!.. your time line seems to be the same as ChocoTaco... I'm def going to follow yalls timelines.. Mine did seem a bit overkill. -
RSVP: Respond By Date?...
MissBubbles205 replied to MissBubbles205's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I think I will follow you then! I'll get mine out by July and my respond date says Jan 15th. ) Great guess on my part.. lol.. I'll get my TA to confirm with the resort if our times frames to cancel is the same. I may have to bump mine up a couple weeks though. Aww.. Thats awesome!!.. -
That is actually a great idea! And awesome your resort doesn't charge for 12 and under!! And I love you response answers.. Super cute!!! I think the only thing we need to know the ages for is our reception dinner, bc 12 and under are 1/3 of the dinner price.. I'm trying to do some research to see if I need additional age categories..
-
Oopsie.. I wasn't finished responded before I hit send.... also, I remembered you had been responding to me on my other thread!! Sorry.. thanks for the advice on the other thread!! I didn't realize til just now our dates were only a couple weeks apart! You should def print a sample.. It really helps to hold it in your hand and check the spacing, etc. but I'm sure yours look great!!.. I sooo can't wait to see them! I spent a day deciding on my invites paper and colors and envelopes. and just bought it all the other day.. Don't tell me about the diff Cardstocks!! lol... I'm just gonna have to be happy with my decisions bc the last thing I want to do is buy a ton of paper.. I should have gotten samples.. But knowing me I'd change my mind a ton of times!.. What are your wedding colors?
-
This is why I Love DWs!! I love making everything unique and something new. ) and I LOVE italian as well!.. I was soo excited to take a pic.. But then realized I cut off my picture on the front.. ( So I had to make some adjustment and now waiting to go upstairs and re-print it. I was hoping to get responses back on my other forum I have going by then.. Trying to decide what a good RSVP date would be.. Our weddings are close, ChocoTaco. When are you gonna have everyone respond by? and when are you sending your invites out?

Thank You!!.. I've been using my moms printer to print on regular cardstock.. But I dont think it will work on the metallic.. I read a forum where other were using the matallic paper from PaperandMore and recommended a Dell Laser Printer that was less than $100. I'll probably go out and buy one since I'm saving a ton by doing my passport invites myself. ) hehehe.. that was my exact thought!! I didn't want people to leave out their children ages 13+.. lol... I've put Children (ages 2-12): Adults: So surely these people will know if their children don't fit in the 2-12 category they will be considered adults (I know they don't want to consider their "babies" adults but it's gotta happen for my RSVP..) lol.. Or they can always call. ) I think we'll have no more than 5 or 6 children attending anyhow; and they are my FI's siblings.
