  1. Oh I agree. $10 was well worth it because it makes a HUGE difference.. Looks soo much better than the pointy corners. :o)

I bought another one today.. lol. I'll probably round the corners on all my labels for the OOT goodies, invites, rsvp's.. I used to be a big scrapbooker so I will def get plenty of use out of them. The smallest things keep me entertained.. lol.

  2. Aww.. I wish we could have an engagement party! I hate living in a different state than my fiance. :o(

I'm afraid if I don't get mine out soon Im gonna obsess over them and change things and colors and fonts a million times.. lol I've completed my RSVP's (well minus the printing) and I lack one page on my passport invites (Bio thing for Atlantis) I told my FI that page is all his. We'll see how this goes.

When I started I wanted to get them out sooner rather than later, but life caught up to me and we postponed it.

My invites will be cymbidium orchid themed boarding passes. Regarding the magnets, I will be purchasing them from vistaprint.  You can can customize them anyway you want.  I'll be uploading my wedding logo:

  4. I too am getting married May 2013!! :o)

What kind of invites are you doing?  And where did you get your magnets?  I love this idea, but have no clue where to begin to look.

Our RSVP is in February of 2013 which correlates with the date when we can cancel rooms in our room block without penalty.

  5. ahh.. really?  :o( I have some family members and friends saying hurry up and send the invites!.. but yet I don't think they know we've decided on a date.  I figured it would be the best way for people to have no excuses of "Aww, I'm sorry I'd love to go but you didn't give me enough time to save" Although these people have known for months we are doing a DW, but I figured the invites would be "offical"

When should I send them out? Or should I do a save the date (if we ever get our pics made) and then invitations a few months later?

  6. OMG!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these!!!!  I really wanted to do save the dates with our pictures but we haven't had our engagement pictures done yet. :o( I guess I'll have to do date reminders 6 months before since I want to send my invites 12 months before.

Too bad we don't live close by.. I would have rounded your corners for FREE!!.. haha.. I bought a corner rounder from Hobby Lobby and I wasn't in the car for 5 mins before I was rounding the corners on every piece of paper in site.

I know its blurry but here are some photos anyhow...IMG_1167.JPG

PS- another reason to celebrate: this is my 151st post, which means I'm a Junior member!! eeekk!!!

  7. RSVP tickets would be soo cute!!.. I want to do a small post card that will fit in the envelope with my passports. that way I don't have to buy envelopes just for those. :o) <-- I guess I gotta make those super cute since they will be exposed to the mail people.. lol..

I watch this site like a hawk!  morning, all day, night.. I'm sooo addicted.. lol..   I see you got your 150 posts!! YAY!!!!

I got white pearl and pink azela cardstock and 50 metallic azela pink envelopes for less than $80. This should cover all of my paper projects and them some. :o)

Soo glad you can open the links (I guess you caught this early enough) as you can see I'm sooo close to 150 posts... I'm hoping to reach that today. I havent gotten much work done in the last few days -LOL

I love the idea of the pearl paper. Did you get a good deal? I'm not the peal type of girl or I would totally jump on them!

  8. Good Afternoon Everyone!!

Well I got my template from Aylee today. (It's a great template) But I finally figured out how to set the page settings to the one I created from scratch in Publisher; so I plan on using this one instead. (I did however snag the US Seal from Aylee's and took off my original image I was going to use, so I did get some use out of it).. :o)

But I think the invites look a little plain without the stamps. Can anyone tell me had to create and add those?  Not sure if I want to use tiny shadowed dots, hibiscious flowers or the stamps.. It just needs something.

Also, I ordered my paper from Paper and More today. :o) I got Pearl White and Metallic Azela Pink Cardstock and 50 Metallic Azela envelopes for less than $80!  I plan on making my bridesmaid cards, invites, and RSVP's and should have more than plenty pages. :o)

  9. I agree, a lot of people on this site seem to use the passports.. But none of my family and friends have ever used them or seen them. :o)

I'm at home.. So I got to open the link. YAY..   I have never seen anything like these two... They are super cute!!  I wonder where you would find that paper and how in the world you could print on burlap!

I'm ordering my paper today from paper and more. :o) I think we are going to go with White Pearl invites with pink envelopes. And I'm also buying the pink cardstock so I can layer it with the white and make "will you be my bridesmaid cards."

I saw a passport cover that had been embosed in a thin canvas for the cover.... http://pinterest.com/pin/270427152594897468/ or printing on berlap http://pinterest.com/pin/243264817341706896/

Sorry miss Bubble- It's a pintrest link and I know you cant open it at work :(

  10. hmm... If its the normal passports.. (I think I'm going to use Aylee's template, spelling?, I bought her's today. Just waiting for the email before I obsess over them.. lol)  What about sending them the first 3 pages? Passport cover, picture and info (2nd page), and the formal invite portion (3rd page?) So you'll really just have 1 page folded in half, and printed on front and back. I hope that made sense.. lol Just a thought though.

Well that sounds likea DIY to me. :o)  Can't wait to see those!!

Im having my designer friend design the passport and then use a pro printer and put and put together myself, so I guess you could call it semi DIY.

  11. CONGRATS!!! :o)  Is your wedding this year or next year?

My wedding colors and orange and fushia/pink.  If you go to my profile you can see all of the pictures I have posted on different threads.

Here is what I've bought so far:

    • OOT Bags at Old Navy $1 in my wedding colors
    • Kleenex(8 for $1), First Aid kits ($1), Chapstick (3 for $1) from Dollar Tree
    • Lanyards (40 for $20)
    • Playing cards (free)

I plan on buying pasminias for the ladies.. (waiting to get a confirmed # before I buy these)

And since I've read a ton of reviews saying Atlantis is expensive when it comes to snacks and water, I am planning to make snack bags for all my OOT bags. I think a gallon sized bag with chips, crackers, other snacks, Crystal light packets, etc. And buying a few cases of water at the grocery store once we get there and put a few in each bag.)

What are you planning on putting in yours? Are you doing any other DIYs?

Well my order from Ebay came in today.. :o) I must say this was the best $20 I've spent on my OOT Bag goodies. :o)   The neck ribbon are made of a very good quality ribbon (which surprised me) and the "room key" holders seal very well! (which also surprised me)

I highly recommend yallstore on Ebay for lanyards. http://www.ebay.com/itm/130589832061?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

  13. I LOVE these!!  Can't wait to see the pics when you get them!

Pre-RSVP is a great idea! I'm hoping to make our Invites to save us a ton of money, otherwise I'd probably do the same thing since invites are soo expensive.

Are you purchasing your invites or are you making your own?

If you have time, I think it would be cute to order (for a good price) or to DIY something quick and simple to the people you want to have a formal invite even though they wont be able to make i. (A keepsake possibly) I have wedding invites all over my fridge from friends and family. lol.. :o)

  14. Our Graphics team with all the good printers have moved to another building.. :o(

My mom has a really good laser printer at work.. But I've read a few reviews saying the laser printers don't work well for the passports I want to do. IE: the ink rubs off the metallic cardstock. :o(

So, are you using like a paper company or like a Kinko's? I didn't think of this.

  16. Good Morning Everyone!

I am considering making our own passport wedding invitations, to save us a ton of money. Does anyone have suggestions on what printer to use? I am wanting to make mine with the Metallic Cardstock and want to avoid the ink running or rubbing off.

I've read a previous post where someone did their passports with the Dell V515W All-in-one printer, but I was wondering if there was any more suggestions.

Also, any advice for thesem is greatly appreciated, especially pics. :o)

  17. Thanks for sharing!.. I really like the $10 one.. due to the stamps in the background..

Does anyone have a pdf or something I can view of their final project. I get confused too easily on these things :-/

I made one from scratch in publisher and its soo cute, but I couldn't figure out how to print the pages together or how to set the sizes.. I think I'm making this out to be more difficult than it realy is.
