ME Brides.... HELP!!!... lol.. I haven't been able to make or comment on posts or even respond to my PMs. :'o( I have tried 3 computers and an iPad. Still no luck. Until today I found a way around it by clicking on full page editor.. then previewing... then submitting.. what a mess!.. but anywho. My fiance and I have decided that we def want to have a reception at ME. Here is my new timeline since I cannot push up the ceremony time. Fingers crossed it all works out. Ceremony - 6:00 Dinner - 7:30 (will request guests to arrive at 7:15) Reception - 9:00 until 11:00 Now the biggest concern...... Parrot Bar or Wet Bar?? Which is the best to choose. We are thinking about 30 guests, could be more, could be less. But I def want to choose the nicest of the two.. ) Also would LOVE to see pics if anyone has any. )

I LOVE the 2 layered look. My colors are pink and orange but I can't seem to find that type of material on your option 1. But I also plan to buy a huge bulk so we can use them for the ceremony & reception. and also for our at home reception. And since I don't to much care for the look of every other chair being a diff color with our color scheme, we have decided to go with only pink satin sashes.. If you can fit the extra costs for doubling up colors, I'd sooo go for it. ;o)

how many guests do you expect? We are thinking maybe 30 and if so it's a tad cheaper to go with a custom package.. 1350 for National bar for 30, DJ, Venue.. Whereas the Package is 1550 for the same thing. But of course everything boils down to the number of guests.. One concern I have is...... do they count each head at the reception or only those old enough to drink? This is sooo weird, and annoying.. I can only post comments if I open the full page editor. Still can't reply to my PM's.. (

I believe you used to not have to pay for the open bar... but now they do because that is what my WC just told me also... hmm.. Great idea about the Wet Bar.. it looks nice but I haven't been able to find a ton of pics of each location. (

Hello Ladies!! I hope I will be allowed to post this post.. For some reason I have not been able to comment or reply to my PM's for the last week. ((((( I'm dying without my girls!!! But we have for sure decided on having a reception at the Majestic Elegance.. But we are wondering which space to use.. Parrots Bar or Wet Bar. I would LOVE to hear your advice and see your pictures. ) We are thinking of opting out from paying the bartender fee's as many of our guests wont drink and we can't justify the costs when it's an all inclusive resort. Plus we are having an at home reception in Georgia when we return home. But I would like the location we choose to have a bar close by. )

I believe some ladies used those glue dots from the scrapbook section, but I just used a dot of hot glue. )

Have you checked dates for the Majestic Elegance? When my fiance and I were looking for a destination location we noticed the prices at ME wasn't much of a difference so we chose ME since it was newer and nicer. )

I too have seen mixed reviews on hair but not many wonderful things about the make-up. I personally am trying out new makeups to see what is the best for my wedding. And maybe try tips and tricks on my own to have the best look. I also want to be able to do my own makeup so that I can make touch ups as needed throughout the big day if needed. One thing I have read about hair.... takes lots of detailed pics and they can re-create it. Also, I strongly suggest the Majestic Elegance Brides and Majestic Colonial Brides facebook groups. Tons of info, pictures, etc. )

LOL... you sound just like me.. My big scheme to save money was to use my work computer... but it did a terrible job at printing my invites and on cardstock in general. ( But I was super happy to find my Canon. Still on sale for 129.99, it's an all-in-one. Also wanted to mention you can get your empty toners filled at Costco's for the lowest price around.

Oh and in regards to dinner, you can pay for a reception decoration package and they will set everything up for you. Or you can take your own decor and pay them to set it up or have family/friends set it up for you for no charge.

Welcome and Congrats! I am doing a free dinner at the Elegance (See&Sea) at the Colonial the Rodeo looks very nice outside.You will need to contact your WC and let them know where you want to have your dinner. I think they have two restaurant options. I have not heard anything about everything getting booked up but this is always a possibility so you'll want to book something as early as possible. As far as a reception you will just need to ask them what venue is available. As far as how many weddings I have read mixed reviews some people say 3 a day, and some have even said up to 10 between the 2 resorts.

AWESOME price!!.. Glad I helped you decision. ) That is the best printer in my opinion! ) I ended up needed several toners.. Like 4 or more of the pink or blue.. I found that Costco's will refill your empty your empty toners at a great rate. I forgot the price exactly, but they were the cheapest I were able to find!

Thanks Kay, I saw those a while back but the color is a bit off... I really like the orange dresses I have found. So far I have been able to find 3 at really awesome deals on ebay. I now havew 2 size 6's and 1 size 14. ) Now I just need 2 more 6's or even a 2 and 4. I was told these will be very simple to alter. ) Yipppy!!.. And for the price I am more than willing to buy them for my 5 girls. ) They can just pay the alter fee's if needed.

I hate how some brides find the ugliest most unflattering dresses for their bmaids.. I want to say "are you really that jealous of your friends??" I have never ever been a bridesmaid, where Im from either it was a shot gun wedding or they arent married yet and my good friend was married just before I met her.
